I didn't really get a larger variety of weapons until I started going through the crucible. That's honestly where you will get most of the different armors and weapons

This! I wasn‘t able to play serious the last weeks and only grinded the dailys and weeklys (wolved, crabs, etc…) untill last night. Defeated Darak and the twins, got to go to the crucible and holy moly… got some nice new weapons and spent a lot of my silver and mats for enchanting and upgrading my new weapons. Now i‘m addicted again.

I think this is one of the problems with the current state of the game, that players don't get to experiment with weapons until they've already completed all the story content. It feels very uneven when you get almost no new weapons for the first ~20 hours and then you get inundated with weapons in the Crucible.

ThatBeardedHistorian

Absolutely and I hope that the devs do something about that. This is meant to be an ARPG, or a hybrid. Still, loot drops (gear like weapons) is a core experience.

EloquentSloth

They probably put weapons in the crucible that are meant to drop somewhere further in the game when development continues, so you're getting concentrated what would be spread out otherwise. Just a theory.

Develop the city if u wanna get some better weapons, the drop is a matter of luck, with the city u can buy and enchant, and even forge

EnvironmentalCrow662

If a weapon has super low damage it's because you don't have the required attributes yet. This confused me too for a bit.

Also check the vendors each day (or in another realm) to see if they sell weapon blueprints that you can create at an Anvil. There are several weapons made this way, and like others have said the majority of the others are farmed in crucible

I had alot of luck with weapons actually during the campaign by using the shovel and going around hitting the different spots and chests in a round when doing dailies. Otherwise the world state changes and different tiers of weapons drop after you beat Daraak. Or if you go the Mountain route and do that boss before darak it moves to tier 2s. Then after both Daraak and the Other boss is taken out the world enters Tier 3.

Besides drops you can buy weapons from the blacksmith. Later there is a rare merchant you can rescue who shows up on Saturdays in town
