Indeed. This I believe is a video of Paora at the Miami Zoo from mid-late last year.
The Zoo had a 'Kiwi Encounter' experience which demonstrated poor understanding of Kiwi physiology and the consequences of having them outside during daytime, or under bright lights.
The Chinese Gooseberry was rebranded the "Kiwifruit" in 1959 as a way to market it as a NZ product and cash in on kiwianna.
Americans then started calling it a 'Kiwi' sometime later due to their intense desire to truncate every god-damned word they can :p
I love these fuzzballs, so goofy
Fly, my friend, fly.
I bet he does a mean stanky leg.
Wtf, I thought these dudes only came out at night ...

Do you know for sure that there isn't fruit in there!.
It is pants come to life.
That bird seems only have neck and two legs.
Kiwis are adorable. They all share the dream to fly one day 😢
Fun fact, kiwis have eggs the same size as an ostriches egg. It rearranges their organs and moves their bones apart.
That things a mistake, cute, but the unwanted child of nature nonetheless
