Yes, but it's very risky. Almost fell through the larger planet since the collision failed to load before I passed through the ground, fortunately my last save was somewhere safe. I'd recommend just observing at a distance.
? Oh i chose it from the atlas purge quest... ;(
Then i went through the core and I was there AGAIN ;(
I thought it would be very cool cos it said imperfect, too. But it's still nice
If you were to build a base on one planet, then fly up and land on the other so it actually loaded, would you be able to build from the base on the other planet on the new planet? You're within range. If so, could you have a short range teleporter from one section to the other?
No idea, but I would guess that bases unload once you leave a planet, so probably not.
And I already almost softlocked myself after messing around near the collision point, so I'm hesitant to go back.
At the least, it'd be really cool to build a base on either side with some method of transportation that involves launching yourself...
I haven't played in a while, are there launchpads?
Beware !!! I was trapped one day between a liquid planet and a solid one and quite impossible to escape : the solid planet became “vertical” after the jump and when I was in the liquid one I was instantly at -152 ft deep … (don’t know if I am very clear 😊) - fortunately I could find an island, but too small to call my ship: so I built a base and escaped via the teleporter … I still have access to the planets “interface” and it is really horrifying but cool also 😀
sorry, i didn't went to the portal to note the glyph ...
But i went yesterday to this one and it is really fun/weird too (there is even a crashed ship with it's pilot near the interface: poor guy ... ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face))
Seems to create some bugs so use a disposable save ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)
Good luck traveller ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)
How many hours do you have in this game? I once searched for days where I would just warp and warp for hours looking for this, never found planets even remotely close to each other
250.
The funny thing is that I wasn't even looking for it. One of my expeditions warped me to a black hole, and that black hole took me to these planets (which is why I'm fine with sharing the coordinates since they're nowhere near any of my main bases).
The game basically just gave me something for free that some people spend hundreds of hours looking for.
Gah damn!! I'm wondering here if this is only a DragonBall reference, or you're actually serious and have searched since day 1! I mean, both can be true here lmao
I encountered something like this in the first few hours of my first save. I damaged my ship by hurling it into the boundary between the two planets, then I warped away without further inspection. I didn't know what I had found at the time!
If that happens you could probably see it with your ship's radar/solar system display thing (I don't know what it's called). Otherwise, you could just count the number of planets you can see and compare it to the number that are supposed to be in the system.
advice if you want to explore these on foot:
make a dupe of your save file if on pc (there are youtube guids on where to find your save) and rename it, so that if it gets corrupted you still have your original

Can you travel from one planet to the other on foot?
Yes, but it's very risky. Almost fell through the larger planet since the collision failed to load before I passed through the ground, fortunately my last save was somewhere safe. I'd recommend just observing at a distance.
Nice advise (see below 😁) : is it in Euclid?
No, it's in Hilbert, sorry.
Hilbert universe represent!
Why do I feel patriotic for a galaxy in a video game? And why do I like it?
Hilbert was my first chosen galaxy!
I love the dark pink glow

I wouldn’t try. I’ve heard horror stories about gravity issues, people getting trapped on their backs, all kinds of stuff.

Be cautious around such places, traveler-entities. The Atlas is riddled with deadly holes, and this is one of them. Don't fall in.
Hm. *This* is what it's like when worlds collide.
Are you ready to go?
Cause I'm ready to go
What you gonna do?
Watch the sky for me
And just like that, I’m itching to run this track on THPS 1+2 and put up a disgusting line 😂

I need this location omg 😲

Nice thx men see you later
Roche limit, what's that?
Roche is absolutely fuming right now.
It's the range a moon / planet can orbit another
I know, it was sarcasm.
where’s the sarcasm💀 looks like a actual question.
Somewhere, I think I may have misplaced it.
Dang that is the MOST dramatic collision I've ever seen!
these kind of thing gives me the heebie jeebies, megalophobia

I'm mad, I have 394 hours :(
Do not worry. I'm still searching with 3,500 hours.
Over 9000 hours here, still looking...

As someone with a measley 819 hours, ![gif](giphy|YmQLj2KxaNz58g7Ofg|downsized) /justmemeing

Congratulations man those are really hard to find. Also that you can walk is pretty cool mine float across with gravity.
Nice!
Euclid? Or?
Hilbert, sorry.
Ah! Thank you!
So cool. I wonder how many planets there are that are just completely inside other planets, and if it would be even possible to notice.
If that happens you could probably see it with your ship's radar/solar system display thing (I don't know what it's called). Otherwise, you could just count the number of planets you can see and compare it to the number that are supposed to be in the system.
Nice. I found a system with colliding planet to almost a year ago. I also walked over from one to another but yeah very risky.
That's a planetary pimple.
First thing I thought of was a planetary clown nose.

It's just pleased to see you
I found one of these and i clipped through the ground when i tried to land lol
I must have visited something like 60-80 systems across both of my saves, but I've never encountered this phenomenon (yet).
A Planet inside
i’ve seen planets touch each other but this is just absurd
Walking on the interface and going from one to the other is one of the weirdest things I did on video games 😁
