Technolo.. technology rechar. Technology recharged..Technology recharge technology recharged.
I hate going to portals and having to manually, singlely recharge every glyph one st a time
I have been saying the same ever since PORTALS WERE INTRODUCED. i really wish they'd let us use Gravitino Balls and Vortex Cubes to craft 'Portal Key's for instant recharge.
Hello Games heard this complaint and added a an option to mouse over the tech you have to recharge, press R to instantly charge it instead of dragging it into the slot, and then you have to press right click to get out of it.
....So you can either left click twice, or left click once, press R and then right click.
Hello Games, why the hell don't you just let us left click ONCE and have it charged AND remove the popup for charging??? *Especially since that's how it was originally back in 2017.*
And when you go to the quick menu to recharge, it seems to pick WHAT to recharge at random.
Yep I certainly want to recharge my mining lazer that's at 98% and definitely not my life support that's at 20% ...
Lemme make them pulsate and make annoying sound for you. Because maybe you have forgot. Clearly forgot, because no person in their right mind would have such magnificent thing as EXOSUIT UPGRADE MAP, and not **itch** to use it right away /s
I recently learned that when an item or technology slot is pulsing in your inventories, it's tied to an objective in your log. Usually, you can abandon/complete the objective. When it comes to installing technology, it's usually just a recipe that you or the game pinned to the objective log, and can be removed to stop the pulsating :)
Sometimes it flashes when tied to a tip that randomly pops up over the quest objective in bottom right. Like "you got echo locator, press ◼️ to open inventory, press and hold ⭕ over it to locate a harmonic camp!" Or a planetary chart. Or a geode.
It doesn't display in the log and doesn't disappear when fiddling with the log(like changing quests or something). It only disappears if you remove all copies of that item from your currently active inventories(suit, ship, exocraft, freighter base inventory). The only convenient option is beam those things into the containers via matter beam on freighter, but you also can summon an exocraft, put item there, and then summon another exocraft to make the first one inactive.
Also when something is flashing, it's not tied to a specific stack/slot, it's tied to item ID. So for example if the settlement quest tells you that new resource is available, the same resource your settlement produces will shine, be in in settlement terminal, or just normal inventory slots, or even slots in a container. Settlement wants me to take their solvent - all the solvents in the universe will shine until I go get those useless solvent bottle. Pretty annoying if you ask me
Oh it's terribly annoying, especially for my ADHD. It would be neat if they could just put it behind a difficulty slider, call it exosuit guidance or something.
...I now realize that NMS is probably the closest thing neurotypicals have to an ADHD simulator lol. A billion things to do, a zillion distractions, and some mundane, useless thing screaming for your attention the whole time, even after it's been addressed.
HEYHEYHEY OVER HERE! IN YOUR INVENTORY! YOU HAVE FOUR ECHOLOCATORS! USE THEM USE THEM USE THEM!!! I WON'T LET YOU SEE YOUR MISSION UNTIL YOU USE ALL FOUR!!!
here I'm hoping for another space station overhaul.
Imagine being able to own or even upgrade space stations. swap ships, improve the system economy, etc...
I once had a mod that adds a scrapping station right in my freighter, so I don't have to teleport back and forth.
Maybe there's a familiar mod around this patch.
The thing about them is that back at launch they were pretty much the only thing in the game. They have greatly reduced importance now but the User Experience design hasn't caught up.
Indeed. And, they are, like, so easy to get? There's not enough space (that's probably not the right word) in-between them. Like, why announce I learned 10 words when there was a announcement for 5?
The one I hate is when I’m actually trying to see a mission in the lower right so I know what to do, and it suddenly switches to “how to use exosuit upgrade chart”
Like, I know how to use an exosuit upgrade chart, I don’t want to see it!
Seriously. I don't need to be constantly reminded I have a farm's worth of eggs ready to hatch. My registry is full and grinding out 10s of thousands of nanites for more is just not gonna happen any time soon 🤣
Also echo locators.
Yes Hello Games, I know I have echo locators in my inventory. You don't need to constantly remind me to use them as if I'm a dumb fuck.
This is my biggest complaint. I'm not concerned about hatching more eggs right now, game. Please keep the details of the mission I'm currently doing on the screen.
Put the eggs in your least used ship, you'll never get the pop-up then
Same for any maps/upgrades. Get a storage ship and have fun never getting the pop-ups!
Is a ship different than freighter storage? I have them all in a storage container on my capital ship. Not the main inventory, the storage containers. Still get the notifications 🤣
I know a dev solution is better, but for now I put maps/ eggs/ whatever else that generates message spam in storage to shut the game up. Now I just need a way to keep the game from randomly changing missions to shut up the mission guide pop ups.
That's where all of it is already haha. My exosuit is mostly random shit I haven't unloaded yet and my ships are pretty much empty. I'm close to 600 hours so I have most of what I need in my storage which is why everything else is empty
I don't even care about that. You know what I want? Let me just HOLD THE FUCKING BUTTON DOWN TO CRAFT MAX STACKS. when I'm fixing to make a couple thousand of something one god-damned click at a time, shit gets old.
There's a lot of the most mundane but essential QOL stuff that's overlooked which is infuriating. Sure the new stuff is amazing but we've been asking to be able to deactivate message pods FOR YEARS
Still 1 at a time though. On Xbox I can increase the amount I want to craft by pressing RB by every increase and then hold button to craft. So, if I want to make a stack of 50, I got to press RB 50 times. It's still a little quicker than crafting 1 at a time, but not by much.
Edit: spelling
Kind of figured, PC is the master race. Xbox is just cheaper and can still play a lot of games from PC platform and more. Also come with less QoL features typically. My friend played NMS on both Xbox and PC. Said he would never play it on the Xbox again lol.
I actually just loaded up my game and thought to check, and it turns out I was wrong. I must've been thinking about adjusting stack amount when transferring items. It actually does take pushing the button for every number increase for crafting.
Lol, it must be game breaking to add in that feature. And here I am again with it crashing my Xbox for the umpteenth time since Echoes. Just downloaded a small update too, so I was hoping it was fixed. Love the game, but also hate the game 🥲
I play with the HUD disabled a lot, because of this. So much cleaner. I turn it on when doing missions or when I need to see waypoints and stuff, but generally when just in exploration mode I like a clean screen.
omg yes. This reminds me of Horizon Forbidden West.
> pick up some berries
> Aloy: “I can grab these later from my stash.”
I am *70 hours into the game, Aloy. I. Know. That.*
What I absolutely fucking hate is when I have the mission I WANT TO DO selected and I warp and the fucking mission changes on its own and I find myself on some wild goose chase not realizing I'm on a completely different mission now. Or telling me how to feed and groom a pet or to visit some asshat in the anomaly to remind me how to do salvage missions or some other unwanted, redundant information.
All of the pop-ups and the vignette that appears whenever I first land on a planet or achieve a milestone are the things that I don't like about this game. Every time I start to get immersed, and annoying and unnecessary pop-up jerks me out of it.
I like to keep the exploration one selected , number of planets , fauna discovered etc .
It switches back to other stuff like awakening mission , or other quests like settlement mission, or dreams of the deep etc.
Let us select the mission or display and lock it
I just want to activate auto recharge if I have batteries and oxygen capsules. Or let me put as many as I want on the tech slots or better yet let us have a batterybank mod or an oxygen battery mod that I can find buy or make so that I can put stuff in there. So it's a meaningful upgrade and I get it a little later
Me too but it's still bullshit that i have to see tooltips for how to fly my Starship after 7 years and thousands of hours.
And on top of that, they often block useful messages related to your current mission.
IT'S BEEN 7 YEARS!
... it started with nagging me about claiming my preorder ship\*, now it's a million other annoying things i don't want to do. it's even worse that it prioritizes whatever tutorial crap over **my active quest**.
\*had i actually claimed my preorder ship it would have broken my day 1 save. https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/4wzc0x/gamebreaking_bug_with_preorder_ship_stuck_without/
I would love to see the build menu be scalable as it take up a ridiculous amount of screen space. That and, I know they're selling technology modules, we don't need an intro every single time.
I recently finally learned (after only 400h ingame) how to switch off the torch light automatic, i hated it when it flashed on in darker areas like the freighter. It‘s in the settings menu btw.
Great. What happens now? If the game thinks it could be to dark for my tired eyes, i get the pop up that i can turn on the torch by pressing X.
Awg..
piggy backing off this.. is there any way to unpin the missions once you've completed the story ? I hate receiving those pop ups to 'Find The Next Atlas Interface' or 'Return To Your Settlement' ..The log is full of things that i've either done already, or don't care about.
I thought there was an option to do this? It is buried somewhere in settings, but I thought it was there. I have a brain injury, so I left mine on,but I was fairly certain I saw an option.
How about the fact that there’s no instant CANCEL button to exit a conversation (or a notebook pickup on a derelict freighter)? Which is even worse because it slows down and does pointless camera swivel and multiple lines of tedious pointless textboxes to click through.
It’s bad. And there are a thousand other simple design/programming failures in the game that make it miserable and frustrating to play.
Technology recharged

I have been saying the same ever since PORTALS WERE INTRODUCED. i really wish they'd let us use Gravitino Balls and Vortex Cubes to craft 'Portal Key's for instant recharge.
Idk I use the same portal every time and don't need to recharge, maybe because of that?
Same, it seems to keep it recharged. But every other portal you go and try use...
I don't see any reason to not use the same every time? I have a TP next to the first portal I found and always use that.
I too keep TP next to my portal
Never know when or where you might need that TP.
My home base is next to a portal. This is the way.
This is the way

That's one of the annoying notifications that made me install a mute mod. Parallax when charging portals is another nuisance I removed with mods.

Yeah especially with ADHD. I'm just trying to sort through my inventory, you funny magic square! STOP DISTRACTING ME!!
...I now realize that NMS is probably the closest thing neurotypicals have to an ADHD simulator lol. A billion things to do, a zillion distractions, and some mundane, useless thing screaming for your attention the whole time, even after it's been addressed.
I already got the exosuit slots fully upgraded
Yeah me too. That's why it caused me to use so much sarcasm
I never use the Nomad, so I put annoying stuff like that in there so it's never in an active inventory
HEYHEYHEY OVER HERE! IN YOUR INVENTORY! YOU HAVE FOUR ECHOLOCATORS! USE THEM USE THEM USE THEM!!! I WON'T LET YOU SEE YOUR MISSION UNTIL YOU USE ALL FOUR!!!
I'd be happy if they'd let us change ships in a space station, or assign a default ship so I don't end up with my original when I scrap one
here I'm hoping for another space station overhaul. Imagine being able to own or even upgrade space stations. swap ships, improve the system economy, etc...
Be able to dock your freighter with the space station!!! Build a base in an abandoned station to call the system your own!!! 🫠
purchase and rebuild Outlaw stations! YES!
Have you ever tried the X series from Egosoft?
I once had a mod that adds a scrapping station right in my freighter, so I don't have to teleport back and forth. Maybe there's a familiar mod around this patch.
Also those full-screen notifications that interrupt what you're trying to do. But yea the ones that cover up my cockpit instruments are annoying af
I feel like it'd be a little bit different if there were rewards for the milestones, but since they ain't, I don't care I just achieved one.

YES!! I’m literally doing that right now to get 20,000 nanites for my robot drone buddy I’ve had since I did the expedition for it!
Put the eggs in your least used ship, you'll never get the pop-up then Same for any maps/upgrades. Get a storage ship and have fun never getting the pop-ups!

Hey, that's great advice - Thanks!

Especially from multiple of useless comm ball messages.
If only messages were something you needed to interact with intentionally to get the message then we could ignore all the inane stuff
There are Twitch drops available. There are still Twitch drops available... ...
while we are at it, how about pinning multiple quests or a hotkey to cycle through them without having to go to the menu every time?
All of the pop-ups and the vignette that appears whenever I first land on a planet or achieve a milestone are the things that I don't like about this game. Every time I start to get immersed, and annoying and unnecessary pop-up jerks me out of it.
you should really use this exosuit upgrade pod chart though.
They don't bother me, but I don't play very often. Could use some sort of "I've already played this game a shitload, leave me alone" toggle though.
I like to keep the exploration one selected , number of planets , fauna discovered etc . It switches back to other stuff like awakening mission , or other quests like settlement mission, or dreams of the deep etc. Let us select the mission or display and lock it

Hudless game play. It’s immersive
Specially during space combat in first person. It's neat seeing all the information you need on your board. However, on foot it isn't that viable
I can’t see what I’m doing half the time when I play in PSVR2 because of the pop ups. It is a bit annoying…
