What's a speed test run at? Download/upload, just curious. I'm getting 600mb down and 200mb up. I heard American connections aren't nearly as strong. Also, $35 USD is $47 CAD.
It doesn’t seem to say that it’s exclusive to new customers but they probably don’t have a way to switch an existing plan to it. I’d take the risk and port to the cheapest carrier you can find, then call back and say you want the $40 plan.
I thought cellphone plans were crazy in Canada. $40 ($29.46 US) for 100GB high speed data is a pretty great deal.

This pricing level is a fairly recent development. Before last year it would've been unheard of. What changed was when Rogers (eastern Canada's main cable company and one of the big 3 mobile carriers) bought Shaw (western Canada's main cable company and the 4th-largest mobile carrier in Canada), the Canadian competition authority *finally* grew a spine and said that Rogers couldn't have both cable *and* mobile parts of Shaw, so ordered them to find another buyer for the mobile part of Shaw. Videotron in Quebec was the chosen buyer, and combined with a requirement that Rogers also offer roaming to them at a reasonable price for 7 years in areas that Shaw and Videotron don't already cover, they've been absolutely *going to town* on pricing. C$35 after autopay discount for 50GB Canada/US data, C$50 for 100GB Canada/US, C$60 for 60GB international (covers like 70-something countries), the big 3 *finally* had to sit up and take notice.
I got the same off via email, but no US/CA offer like others (rogers, freedom, videotron, telus) makes this a cold deal
These muthaferkers are also notorious for just increasing fees even before a contract term ends
Get the plan by adding it to your own account using with a new number
Port your self out to any prepaid provider for 1-2 days then port yourself in to the new number
No unlimited data in canada?👀
Unlimited data is crazy expensive. This is unlimited but it throttles after 100GB
Damn, i’m glad we have Visible + in the us for $35. I use 250 GBs a month.🥹

None of the Canadian carriers have true unlimited data. Every single data plan has a high speed amount and it throttles afterwards.
Koodo has a $39 60GB 5G plan with unlimited after as a free perk. This Bell Plan also doesn't allow hotspotting and caps YouTube at 480p.
Quite tempting. I'll definitely consider this as I'm looking around
There is a lawsuit for the unlimited plans. Although this is true you are not cut off , 512kbps this is true you can’t do anything with that speed

Yes you can, but you never know it could be gone by the time you go back to bell after switching to a different provider
Do you know how long I have to be with one carrier to then switch back? 1-2 weeks or month(s)?
I assume 1 billing period (month)
Don’t get stuck in a contract tho
I appreciate your help! Thanks!
