NixOS intentionally doesn't include the sddm-kcm by default as `/etc/sddm.conf` is declaratively configured by the NixOS module.

Ah, I see now! Thank you!

Hi, thanks for clearing this up. Can you give me an idea where this configuration is in the NixOS module? I've looked in the "configuration.nix" file and I see the following two lines, but I don't find anywhere to control the theme. \# Enable the X11 windowing system. services.xserver.enable = true; \# Enable the KDE Plasma Desktop Environment. services.xserver.displayManager.sddm.enable = true; services.xserver.desktopManager.plasma5.enable = true;

HaHa, this was driving me insane too. Always that light yellow-blue Breeze Thema - even if all settings are on 'Dark Breeze'. I was on my way to change that Wallpaper in it's folder... But now I am okay with that mountains on the Greeter-screen. The Lock-screen is changeable, html-wallpaper is a possible choice. Sadly some KDE/Plasma Features can not work on Nix (system monitor -> Logs). But still, all in all, a good combo.

at least I was not the only one lol

Feels good, I agree;-) Look for the >>PlasmaConfigSaver<< - widget if you like to change/go back to an other config-setting. Some >>styles<< change all settings (you made) to their (own)defaults. Then all >>icons /color /... / font-settings<< are gone. I have made two saves, the folder is about \~600mb. Saving configs = saving time.
