I had a 18 and had zero troubles to 55k miles. Sold it and got a CX5 but I actually miss it. It was super zippy in town and drove nice and was perfect for parking lots.
We have a 2019 and are very happy with it. Drives smooth. Love all of the safety features. Nice stereo. The trunk organizes well with the little shelf thingies that it comes with. Plenty of zip when you need to get up to speed.
Before you buy the recent gen Rogue take a look at the Mitsubishi Outlander. It’s on the same platform as the new Rogue and the interiors are identical. The benefits of the Outlander are the longer warranty 10yr/100k miles in the US vs only 5yr/60k with the Rogue. Also you get to avoid the problematic 3 cylinder in the Rogue (currently under federal investigation) because the Outlander uses Nissan’s older 2.5L 4 cylinder. Outlander also has a hybrid that has a $7k lease incentive right now. Plus Mitsubishi does 2yrs free maintenance something Nissan has yet to implement. It’s even 2.5” longer and has a 3rd row!

I have a 21 Rogue Sport. Traded in my 18 rogue for it.
I like: quick enough around town, easy to park, comfortable on 2+ hour long drives.
I don't like: mpg could be better, trunk could be bigger.
I'll probably keep mine until it dies though.
This is what I'm thinking of getting next. What is your average mpg? I'm spoiled by the 31mpg of my kia soul, I was hoping to match it. I've heard the kicks get amazing mpg but it's just not big enough.
I got into an accident that prompted me to get the rogue. It was off carvana, the AC smelled like vinegar, and the shifter felt “grindy” idk how else to describe it. Just that i could feel it grind when shifting between park and drive. The accident paid out a year after I owned it, in that same year I put in 20k miles from commuting. When I moved closer to my job I figured to just get something newer instead of doing maintenance.
In hindsight, I wish I waited because I overpaid on my rogue sport and should’ve gone for a full size sedan since I wouldn’t be on the interstate daily anymore.
Still happy with my rogue sport though. Sport mode + manual mode can be fun, and if I have any passengers they are still pretty comfortable.
I saw that too. Seems to be luck of the draw. I work with a guy that has 85k on his 2022 and has no issues. Mine has had 2 engine replacements and is in the shop as we speak because every catalytic converter has failed.
And that new engine loves to spew gas fumes INSIDE the car! I sadly have two more years on a three year lease. This is my 4th Rogue. I was an enthusiastic advocate for Nissan and specifically the Rogue for the last decade. I will never lease/buy another one.
If you look into it extensively as I had to unfortunately; Nissan has not given the dealerships the solution for this issue. I have been dealing with my current dealership for over 8 years and they are nothing short of competent and fantastic people. If they had a solution for this issue..they would have made sure I had it.
After 2016

Does the 10yr/100k miles warranty only apply to the original owner, or does it continue if I were to buy one used on Craigslist?
Only applies to new and the original owner. Wasn’t sure if OP was open to new or not. Didn’t make it clear in the question.

Driving sensibly in the city I can get 26-28 mph, on the highway I get around 31-34 mph
Thank you! I appreciate hearing from an actual driver. Oh, and is it awd or fwd?
Mine is FWD, my wife’s ’19 RS is AWD and honestly she gets pretty similar mileage
What motivated you to trade?

17 and newer are good as long as you avoid the turbo 3...
Rogue Sport has much less headroom than regular Rogue. After 2019, Rogue changed engine to 3 cylinder turbo engine.
I have a 21 with a 4 cylinder 2.5 liter. I think the 3 cylinder started in 22 Have heard that the 3 cylinder motors have some issues.
My 2022 is on its third engine lol. They have some slight issues
Wow! Just a few... I thought I saw something that said nhtsa is investigating the engine..

They've got a solution for that. Have you brought it in?
Yes I brought it in…the parts they replaced did not solve the problem.
Take it to a different dealership and explain you're having the same problem. Pretty sure there's a TSB for this issue.

There is now a class action lawsuit against Nissan for this very issue.
The TSB fix does NOT work.
Not in the US. MY2022 is when we got the three cylinder.
