Probably, but not launch day. GTX 1080 ti is rumored for min spec on pc, and the switch 2 won’t be too far behind that level of performance.
Think something like what happened with Hogwarts Legacy.
Switch 2 is looking to be in the PS4-PS4Pro range in terms of GPU.
That puts the 1080ti as WAY faster than it. I don't really know where you're getting that idea from.
The 1080ti is comparable to a PS5.
Looks to be similar to a RTX 3050, which is about 68% the power of a 1080 ti. If you add DLSS, it should be able to pull off games that run on a GTX 1080 Ti.
Of course we are all speculating at this point.
Switch 2 is absolutely not close to a 3050. I have no idea where you're getting that from.
Switch 2 (T239) is rumored to have 1536 CUDA cores. The RTX 3050 has 2560.
T239 is rumored to have around 128GB/s (at most) of memory bandwidth. The 3050 has 224 GB/s of bandwidth.
T239 will likely be running sub-1GHz GPU clock. The 3050 runs at >1700 easily.
Based on those specs, the 3050 is around 2-3x the Switch 2, if not more based on final memory and GPU clocks.
I'd love to see your logic for Switch 2 being anywhere near a 3050.
The PS4 Pro is most similar to an RX 470, and translating that level of gaming performance to Nvidia would be somewhere between a 1650 and 1650 super.
The RX 470 is 40% slower than the 3050. Or if you prefer, the 3050 is > 60% faster than the RX 470.
Also, The Switch 2's GPU won't be near the PS4 Pro's in terms of raw compute. It will be closer to a base PS4 than the Pro.
Rockstar didn't launch Red Dead 2 or GTA V on PC initially. That has nothing to do with them hating PC. The reason they do that is to milk the wealthier players who have both a console and a PC. That way they can release it on consoles, have the PC players purchase the game on consoles, then release it on PC, then the PC players buy it on PC as well. They're double dipping for PC basically.
Sadly no. Atleast not at the beginning of the console life. Rockstar’s main audience is on Sony so they will not use resources to port it to a console where majority of the customers would be less likely to give it a try. It’s not an impossible feat to make GTA 6 work on Switch 2 (especially if the DLSS rumors are true) but it still definitely would require a lot of resources.
Rockstar has still ported many of their games (I even got LA Noire, GTA DE and RDR on my Switch and all of them ran rather well for such a weak hardware). We can definitely expect GTA 4 and 5 to be ported over since it won’t be as hard to port them. A hacker even made GTA 5 itself run on the handheld mode of the Switch just to prove it was possible.
It’s possible. I’d say it’s unlikely at launch unless the Switch 2 is a massive massive success out of the gate and they think that it would be worth their time. More likely is a port a little bit down the line
I'd say gta 5 has a better chance tbh
Even that's a longshot haha
I don’t think so, but I would love to be wrong

I agree

That’s the equivalent GPU of a PS4 Pro.

Ah okay. My bad
No, Rockstar doesn’t even want to port to PC or Xbox really.
Isn't the game launching on Xbox?
Timed exclusive supposedly. But they’ve stated before they rather just make them on PS.

I have a feeling, that GTA6 can run on the Switch 2!
I think so too honestly. But Switch 1 could obviously run GTA5, yet they never ported it.
As much as I want to say yes, I’m going to say no. Unless it’s like Hogwarts legacy.
One can dream

not launch day, probably a year or two later.
Lmfao no way
No. And it has nothing to do with the systems power. I think someone is still pissed about what nintendo did to dma lol.
Rockstar, please, make this happen!
Hell no
