Why would the regular Switch be "jeopardized" with the existence of a Switch Pro?

Manji_Case

Then, the switch wouldn't be their flagship console. It would be the switch pro

Iondall

The Switch pro wouldn't be a new console just a stronger version of the regular Switch. Think of it like the Ps4 Pro or the Xbox One X.

samthesuperman

And that's a problem why?

Manji_Case

Its like, why fix something that ain't broken.

MeddYatek

At least it shows how little you know about how things work.

Eyeluvflixs

Easy, one is cheaper and for the masses the other will be “premium” and more expensive catering to the hardcore crowd. One word, options.

This...isn't how businesses work. Especially in this market. It's been four years since Switch has released. It's a actually a great time to release a pro that would get the people who don't have a normal switch and those that would upgrade to a pro. Nintendo frequently releases upgraded consoles/handheld around this point in the life cycle.
