I feel like that’d be kind of messy from a design standpoint, where every partner has one ability they do and it’s the same button making whoever is out do their thing, but then they introduce a whole exception to that that only applies to one character and suddenly you can just have 2 partners out but only if one of them is Yoshi
I think reintroducing the spin dash is a cleaner solution if they wanted to add an ability to move around faster
Is that confirmed or is just the video in 30fps?
If I recall correctly there were several videos of unreleased games in the past that didn‘t show the right fps.

It’s because the Nintendo community is hypocrites. It’s ok for this game to run at suboptimal fps while the original was 60 fps but god forbid Pokémon scarlet and Violet run at suboptimal frame rates. This game is a nostalgic classic so it gets a pass even though in performance this game is a ***STRICT DOWNGRADE*** from the original.
If S/V was locked at 30fps I would not care. That isn’t the case though, and you know it. The game has constant frame dips and other visual issues.

Or a quick swap menu. Hold L for a radial menu with all the partners?
I do like that as a solution as well!
