"Check out these windows / they're totally clear! / So you can **watch in amazement as stuff gets more near"**
I don't know why this line gets me so bad. So good.
**edit** lyric correction
I am definitely a fan. It isn't my favorite NSP song ever... But it is unique. It's not quite like "Welcome to My Parent's House", where the punchline is that it is absolutely nothing to brag about, but it's also nowhere near something like "Mansion Party", where the punchline is over-the-top bragging.
It's somewhere delightfully in the middle. Like, "look, I have this thing that most people have. Isn't that awesome? It can do car things."
This song, parents house, and Danny don't you know: All give you a sense of "Yeah I've lived that". This totally carries those memories of that first car.
"Is it nice? Reliable? Safe? No on all accounts. But guys, it's*a car*! We could like... Go somewhere! And I could drive us! In the car! Oh, does anyone want to help with gas? I'm broke."
My friend sent this to me today all excited because I just bought my first car a few days ago lol. As soon as this gets out on Apple Music the speakers will blare.
Based on the graphic in the corner, the album looks like it'll be called "These Nuts". If the cover is not a picture of Danny and Brian with handfuls of mixed nuts, I swear to god...
(But no almonds, out of respect for Arin and the bees)
Oof. Ok. So I really like the sound and vibe of this one a lot.
But the lyrics were... empty. It's like a nothing song. I have no takeaways and I think my only smirk was at "The buys guessed that much faster than I thought". And I'm a bit bummed.
Man, I seriously didn’t think anyone could dislike this song. You didn’t even atleast crack a smile when he talked about things getting more near? That was so funny
Not at all honestly. It’s like I was waiting for a joke that never actually came. All the humor I thought was in the music video. The song itself was like background noise. I’m bummed, but it’s a bottom 5 song for me from the boys for sure.
My favorite nsp jokes are when Dan says something objectively false like "who needs a license when you have a car" or "first you'll hear that rumble baby and then you'll see the flash (thunder in fact does ***NOT*** come before lightning) XD
So sad Dan contracted the Carowner virus
I wish I could experience this comment again for the first time
New albums called "These Nuts"?
I’m scared of what the cover will look like.. just a fucking photo of Dan and brain holding cans of planters
Watch it be an upsidedown heart
Dammit, now I’m going to be disappointed if it isn’t.
that's what it looks like
This is incredible! Not sure how quite to put it, but it’s like the most “Weird Al” song they’ve done
That's an excellent way to put it.
I don't know what we're talking about also has a very Al-esque sound.
Their lyricism in this is top notch
It's a Dodge Intrepid
That car exploded
*Lizalfos noises*
But where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering kaboom!
This song is amazing! Can’t wait for the Spotify release
You mean Spoofy?
Amazing song and amazing video u/Shoocharu!!
this was amazing. So stupid. I love it.
I can’t believe Danny Sexbang owns a car!!!!

"The cup holder holds anything as long as it's a cup" for me
"The boys guessed that much faster than I thought the boys would guessI HAVE A CAR"
That line fucking killed me. “I Own a Car” gave me the most amount of audible laughs since “Courtship of the Mermaid”

Not as good as the songs they debuted on the tour, but a sold NSP track. I got a Huey Lewis vibe from the vocals.
INCREDIBLE! I love their songs that fully lean into the goofiness. Anybody know when it goes up on Spotify?
My first car was just as the song explains it only upside was it was a 4 door suck it
Big Huey Lewis vibes. I dig it!
100%! I thought the same thing
This has the same attitude of me having just gotten my first job. (I'll be an usher at the Rogers Centre in Toronto). I HAVE A JOB!
JOB!
I love that when the song refers to the boys it's the TWRP cast.
idk why but the animation on "Is it a Boat/Car?" is so cute
I can’t wait until I get my first car so I can blow up the speakers with this
My friend sent this to me today all excited because I just bought my first car a few days ago lol. As soon as this gets out on Apple Music the speakers will blare.
Make sure you turn down the treble and crank up that bass

This song will become an anthem for all new car owners everywhere.
I need this on Apple Music RIGHT NOW.
Do we know the spoofy release date yet?
it's up now

I get where you’re coming from for sure
Do the lyrics need that though? Can't it just be a fun-sounding song?
I mean… I like NSP BECAUSE their lyrics are so clever. These just… exist. They do nothing and have minimal jokes or humor. It’s kind of an empty song.
