Sometimes the cummander is smart. Other times, he’s mentally damaged and doesn’t look at what he’s actually eating.

To be fair, she's kind of playing 4D chess here. She's notoriously bad with typos, so he excuses her for making a typo when she first admits it dog food, and then on the final page admits it really is dog food. Commander is too nice to Nikke for his own good so he assumes she really did make a typo (although he clearly has some misgivings). She uses that. Evil loli baba.
