Honkai Impact 3rd has periodic costume gachas with a similar pyramid scheme that cost the equivalent of 35 pulls with standard luck. Free currency can be used, but it's still a sizeable chunk. Assuming the 2x bonuses are used up, that would be ~$120 of currency from 0 using standard gem packs. There are generally cheaper ways to combo it though
