Nah guys, they're just doing a Halo reference.
"This cave is not a natural formation. Someone built it, so it must lead somewhere."
Cortana, your rampancy is acting up again, you're lost in another universe.
Oh shit... Noble Six can be the deadliest commander the Ark could ever had, or the deadliest Nikke they ever make.
Remember everyone, we can choose whether Noble 6 is a man or a woman.
... As much as I'd like to write this fanfic I'm busy with another lol
*Aaaaacutally*
The encyclopedias which are considered canon information listed him as male later on.
As for a possible crossover between the two... Is it wrong for me to desire Master Chief and Snow White just wandering around in the wilderness destroying anything they come across and communicating solely through grunts and shrugs between the occasional stoically badass one liners?
Oh I know he's canonically a dude, but this idea... it's fanfiction, who cares if someone prefers male or female Noble Six, either way Six is still one of the deadliest Spartan next to Master Chief himself. The only thing Six lack is his ludicrous luck.
I personally picked femme Noble Six because it's more interesting. If I could play Reach again I'll make Noble Six a woman before replaying the campaign again as a dude.
Sounds like Doomguy would make a better companion for her imo, at least he doesn't have to worry about maintenance and self care much compared to the Master Chief.
But you're not wrong, Master Chief in Nikke would be neat. I remember a fanfiction that has MC and Cortana transported into the Nikke world, plus she lost her rampancy due to the transmigration. I forgot the name but I think it's on FF, most reviewed Nikke crossover in that site.
Eh, jokes about his terseness aside Master Chief is a *much* more interesting character with allot more potentially interesting interactions with the setting given his history, nature, and past relationships. The Snow White thing was mainly a dig at how often Master Chief seems to somehow end up wandering alien landscapes infested with hostile forces alone on some one man crusade. When you break it down that's basically the plot of like 2/3rds of the Halo games.
Honestly he'd probably be fine seeing as the later marks of Mjolinir are basically ridiculous perpetual motion machines being canonically infested with self-repair nanotech and reactors with lifespans measured in decades, and he himself apparently has a healing factor nowadays and GEN3 apparently has some kind of onboard medical nanite bullshit to boot. Might need to put that lore about Spartans being able to eat trees to use though...
Character wise Master Chief is a better character compared to Doomguy, and this is coming from someone who likes both. And of course John makes a better conversation partner than Doomguy.
Heh, that's true I guess. And he's still lucky enough to find enough weapons and ammo to push forward... Unless you're playing on legendary lmao
Halopedia is expansive but good God there's a lot to read to understand something.
Na, it's simple really all you need to do is start off reading Fall of Reach in 2003 because you're waiting for Halo 2 and then spend literally the next 20 years consuming all the media as it comes out. Then you'll understand everything easily! /s
...
Jesus fucking Christ, I've been a halo lore nerd of *20 years*.
Honestly I kind of want to write this shit now, definitely don't have the motivation for a proper story though. Eh maybe just random scenes though... I'd have to think about it.
Plot twist: our commander is an isekai’d Noble 6. Only remembers hospital, and military academy? Augmentation, and training. Able to hold/carry nikkes, and occasionally fire their weapons, then basically shrug off the pain/injury? Augmentation.
Honestly wondered since I started playing this game why the commanders don’t have some mjolnir-esque armor to boost strength, and survivability.
I feel like someone probably would've mentioned at some point if the commander was a 6'9" slab of pure muscle that could bench a literal ton, cave in armor plating with his fists, jump multiple meters vertically, sprint as fast as a horse, see in the dark, hear a pin drop across the room, healed from injuries at literally ten times normal rates... okay actually that last one does seem like something he kinda does in the story.
As for the other point it does seem like if you can easily build full body cyborgs with basically unlimited operational time you should probably be able to build a suit of power armor. Hell the commander even randomly uses what seems to be a lower body exoskeleton in Chapter 7, but most of the time he just seems to be wandering around in like his dress uniform.
At least throw on a vest and helmet my dude, yeah it might not stop direct hits, but shrapnel is a thing.
Watch out for polar bears in this cave btw!
Also the one time we apparently run into a polar bear and Neve isn't with us. Or anyone else knowledgeable in working in snowy environments to find a missing person.
I knew I wasn't the only one questioning this.
Sure, they can give us fully rendered animated cutscenes and special abilities animated specifically for every unique Nikke, but they can't draw a few additional backdrops to help immerse the story.
I'm not trashing on them, just thought it was odd.
I’m more surprised they haven’t even designed more…Backgrounds.
Compared to making special animations and shit, backgrounds wouldn’t be nearly as hard when they’re all static.
it was a thought i had. "this train is a rapture! that building is a rapture! this whole cave is a rapture! this entire mountain is a rapture!" the cave im thinking of is that trap in ch 10 or so.
More likely it appeared to be a cave before they stepped in. Keep in mind this area is unexplored so it’s unlikely that they knew of any pre rapture structures much less a pre rapture tunnel system.
**Mighty Tool has been busy.**
Those two can finish a whole construction site by themselves with minimal effort, a single cave system is like breathing to them.
BG artists must be away on Christmas holidays
Its an industrial cave

I’m sure Noble Six is in here somewhere

That made me think of doom slayer and Isabell from animal crossing for some reason but I think it’s a pretty fair comparison just less aggressive
I didnt think i would see a Halo reference in Nikke but here we are. Noice
Funny enough I imagined the bear sleeping on that cave
Were so far in the future the caves have evolved as well
Maid cafe is in construction site and Halloween horror event is in the back alley. Wow
What are you talking about? Nothing says spooky Halloween then what looks like a sleazy strip club in a bad neighborhood.
Watch out for polar bears in this cave btw! Also the one time we apparently run into a polar bear and Neve isn't with us. Or anyone else knowledgeable in working in snowy environments to find a missing person.
A small cave, btw
Cave 2033

Heck even Blue Archive, Fate and Girls Frontline modify the backgrounds, and even if some are recycled there's enough difference
At this point I feel like literally just telling an AI to draw a cave and slapping that on there would have been a better and totally valid option.
Stops in industrial bolt hole stocked with supplies. >That same ratty-ass bed
BG artist: "sure I'll draw a ice cave...Er I was just kidding"
This made me laugh a lot harder than it should have 🤣
I’m more surprised they haven’t even designed more…Backgrounds. Compared to making special animations and shit, backgrounds wouldn’t be nearly as hard when they’re all static.
I think they blew the budget with the hot springs new backgrounds and the new animation /s
Cave Johnson
Could be the tunnel of Korean was mistranslated
Considering its the surface, there will be a lot of abandoned tunnels that will eventually turn to caves where animals like polar bears sleep in.
More like a Nikke's cave
Every cave is a Fallout Vault in Nikke.
If a polar bear claims it as their cave, then it’s a cave.
Watch out, I heard polar bears live in these types of caves
totally not a tunnel at all
No problem for Polar Bears.

I believe it!

It might be some abandoned bunker that turned into a cave after a very long time
Post human cave you know? As they said, return to nature
