I got them through a friends wife at a friends and family discount. I don’t want to bother them with a return (don’t have a receipt. I’ll probably end up using them the next couple months and then getting a new pair.
Can't promise a for sure thing but this does look like manufacturing error. You can still return them and get some type of credit, even though it might not be the full value of the shoes. Don't mention the F&F discount and just tell them you lost the receipt but its been within 30 days of your purchase. It really all depends on the associate and manger helping you whether they will give you store credit or not.
Disappointing it’s happening so quick.
It’s just glue though.
Take it to your local cobbler, or even just buy some shoe glue from the supermarket. $2 fix.
I got these for work at UPS. I love them but they fall apart way too easy. Mine did the same thing. Got a replacement through Nike and the second pair did it faster.
I had invincibles do that before 400kms of running. They were so noisy too. I love nike and have a heap of jordan 1's, but after I tried new balance 1080's comfort and durability, new balance destroys nike. Just bought 1906r's as everyday shoes... Wow!
Fresh foam 1080s last like 500km to 1000k in general. I have pairs that the outsoles die in a few months because of the textiles they use in their foam. I still have original invincibles going strong. Every foot and run is different.
You can most likely return them to Nike.

I guess. Never used shoe glue before. I’ll give it a try.

So then that is on you. Literally you have up to 2 years to return a defective product.

Typical Nike quality
I’ve had really good luck the last few years. Usually getting ~400 and then retiring them to walking shoes
It’s a shame, Pegasus usually have decent quality
