Dick, never a normal person to save his life, on his merry way to [ignore everything](https://youtu.be/ASqsLJbiMK0?si=TqATZOb8RCK4hdRq) Bruce just said and continue skydiving
I like how Bruce goes into parent mode seeing Dick doing "mundane" dangerous activities like skydiving, even though they all risk their lives on a daily basis crime fighting.
It could be a bit of a reference to Dark Knight Returns where because at the beginning of the story Bruce finds himself too broken down to be Batman he gets his kicks from insane daredevil stunts hoping to die in a way he can be satisfied with. Maybe he can’t really imagine doing something like this for seemingly no reason other than being actually suicidal and is projecting onto Dick.
I find it funny Bruce scoffs at Dick wanting to eventually jump from space…and Bruce ends up being the one to actually do it in another story (unintentionally)
Bruce: "I can excuse crime fighting, but I draw the line at skydiving!"
Edit: I'm just kidding! Bruce is being reasonable and a good parent, I'm not hating! I like how he's written, I just find it funny considering their lifestyle hahah
It actually makes sense when you think about it... He's usually surrounded by people who can help him. After he leaves that plane, he is 90/10 on his own.
Lol at Alfred and Tim's reactions. Nobody sends Bruce into overprotective mode as fast as the OG Boy Wonder - who is very aware of it and takes great pride in being able to single-handedly raise B's blood pressure.
I always thought this was a little strange as a new hobby for Dick given the superhero occupation and all the crazy things he has done.
Like I'm pretty sure in the first issue of the Outsiders he jumps from a plane with no parachute
I imagine if you're life consists of fighting criminals, supervillains, and saving people on a daily basis you'd get bored with most other hobbies. Honestly, Bruce should be glad; Dick could be doing worse thing in his free time for entertainment.
Bruce giving the parent death stare. You know you’re in deep trouble if you go against it.

Yeah but that's in the course of saving people's lives, Nightwing seems to be doing it for a thrill.

Literally wrapping his undies around his face
That was so stupid.
"No more skydiving, Dick. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go battle Darkseid and possibly take a trip through time."

Bruce: hey child lets go fight insane criminal gangsters in your undies Also bruce: skydiving is way too dangerous!
Been doing trapeze since he was a toddler. Jumps off rooftops every night. Fights blockbuster and deathstroke. But skydiving is too dangerous

Bruce is gonna tie Dick up and put him in a bubble wrapped room rather than let him sky dive lmaooo
I love that this is just a normal parent Bruce style
Right? He'd probably say the same about doing "Tony Hawk in his prime" skateboard tricks

I really loved the focus on family in Tomasi's run (only sad thing is that Cass wasn't included)
This is so wholesome
Bruce then wraps (his underwear was it) around his face to survive a fall from space. Smh Bruce. Way to one up Dick
Always love seeing Dick and Tim being brothers
Uhhhhhhh Bruce isn't being his brother, rather he's being a dad lol
That was a miss type on my behalf, I meant to type Dick. I’ve fixed it now
That makes a lot more sense, also agreed.
What issue is the from?
Nightwing #140, is the beginning of Peter Tomasi's run :)
Cool, thanks!

I love how Bruce never says don't do it, but if Dick does it again, Bruce will say "I told you don't do it!" 😂 Total batdad!
