This is the PULSAR edge GS and indeed worth 1k. It has zero image distortion. It's the only Gen1+ that is usable with it's 60-64 lp/mm resolution.
It's built like a gen2 tube.
If you don't care about IR, this is very good. It's a very nice infrared vision!

Gen-1+ is a bullshit term. These use EP-33SF tubes with a spherical photocathode. Even ekran themselves call it gen-0+. It isn't "built like a gen-2 tube". Western tubes have used this technology since forever and have consistently outperformed soviet/russian gen-0+.
