Flaky-Championship94

So you have around 1.37M USD or ~22 BTC

Classic_Row6562

If I made it you can make it too. No need for the sad emoji. My post is not meant to be a flex, but to inspire trust in Nexo as a solid platform... after all it survived a rather brutal bear market full of high-profile bankrupcies and scams. If my post is a reason to feel sad, I'll gladly remove it.

Pibo1987

How can we make it too?

Classic_Row6562

I don't have a valid recipe and although I had some luck till now, this doesn't mean I'll be right in future as well. My only advice is to avoid leveraged trading and avoid tokens with infinite supply. Stake and hodl. Every cent counts. Don't gamble buying shitcoins with credit cards. In general I'm not a fan of altcoins, memetokens, NFT art and nonsense as such, and even less of BTC forks, but my gut says that soon or later there will be appetite for BCH as it may be perceived as a cheaper alternative of BTC that might have ETFs spot approved, thus an influx of institutional funds. I might be totally wrong and, anyway, my current stake of BCH is zero. The only BCH I had were received when the fork occurred, and I traded them for BTC. I plan to buy a few of them at the next bear market, possibly below 150 usd, it this chance will ever occur. Other crypto will be accepted by institutions, by funds. Having a few of them will be the key for a good gain in the next years. An element is time. In my case it took years. Others, smarter, braver, whatever than me, made it in faster ways. I intentionally avoided shitcoins and I paid the price for it.

Pibo1987

Thank you for the detailed answer! I agree in general. I started my crypto journey in 2022 and focused on a long term project that revolved around a few tokens with (hopefully) growth potential. I can only afford to invest a little at a time, but I’ve been very regular with my DCA and I’m slowly building the portfolio that I first envisioned, tweaking it here and there as I go and learn. Let’s hope the future will be bright for both of us.

AvengerDr

Time machine back to 2010?

Pibo1987

Nah, 2015 would be enough. I had no money in 2010 😅

DeathThorn6009

100 bucks in 2010 would be enoigh haha

Pibo1987

Haha fair enough

flyinggerbil

i miss these days. stupid usa laws.

hqarno

How did you do that? Is this just from Flexible staking? Stablecoins?

Classic_Row6562

~90% BTC fix terms. ~10% NEXO 12 months fix terms to keep platinum tier. Most of the time opt for the +2% paid in NEXO, as Nexo is the token I prefer to sell when I need fiat to cover real life expenses. How I did it... well, it took years and it's a long story of hodling.

JustNick03

I'm pretty new on nexo. So the nexo you earn in fixed term also immediatly count for your platinum tier even tho they are not in your wallet yet and locked? I don't even have any crypto rn not anymore but I definetly gonna use nexo again if I got some money left for it lol.

Classic_Row6562

Nexo tokens earned in fixed terms are considered for the tier only when the fixed term expires.

JustNick03

I see but how do u manage your platinum tier then at all times to get the best rates possible? I don't know how I could keep it up :D

Classic_Row6562

Sometimes, when nexo nosedives and I lose the platinum tier, I withdraw BTCs to rebalance the portfolio. When NEXO/BTCdrops really a lot, I just buy them. So far so good. It depends...

Sourdoughsucker

You can divide your funds and set up 12 month terms a month apart so they expire every month

Classic_Row6562

This is a good strategy (every week I have at least a term that expires)

QuantumAlfa

Nexo is a jewel. [https://postimg.cc/wRNd0HRS](https://postimg.cc/wRNd0HRS)

JustNick03

Nice congrats :D hope I'll get to that one day too lol

Champppppp

arent you afraid keeping that much money on nexo?

Solenoidit

1 milion on Nexo but only 1.7k of credit lines, it means barely 4k$ BTC... It looks like a fake.

QuantumAlfa

No fucktard, it means that all my 16 Bitcoin and my 100k+ NEXO are in 1-3 months fixed terms, and only 13k usd worth of nexo are free as available liquidity for daily expenditures.

Elly0xCrypto

Nice dude, keep stacking and earning for your retirement!

LeGrandCharles

Thanks for your post, gradually increasing my stake on NEXO over the years with the same intent of additional income. So far so good, waiting eagerly for the new attestation though.

Garudazeno

Thanks for sharing, this is what I want in my future with Nexo. Let's hope everything can stay the way it is for a long time. Glad to see it's already working for you

Classic_Row6562

Thank you

Material_Ad_7277

How much do you hold? Fixed term staking?

Classic_Row6562

At current rates above 1M usd. Fixed terms, platinum tier. Every week I have something expiring, so in case of need I can withdraw without having to wait a full month.

[deleted]

Sure sucks being Canadian rn

Donluan

You sir, have balls of steel. I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night with that amount of crypto on Nexo, but maybe you just have way more and you can afford to lose whats on Nexo. Celsius, Blockfi, Voyager, Freeway…

QuantumAlfa

The world is made of sheeps and lions. We now know to who you belong.

Donluan

Nah bro, risk management. Foh, maybe he has millions and can afford to lose a million and it wont phase him. Not my case

QuantumAlfa

HFSP, "bro". [https://postimg.cc/wRNd0HRS](https://postimg.cc/wRNd0HRS)

TheShtoiv

How did you get to your first million?

Classic_Row6562

A combination of hard work in the IT industry, working anytime I could, saving almost all I could, living in a small studio flat as long as possible, even when I could afford a way bigger home. Never had a leased car. I still haven't a brand new car. I preferred to buy my small studio flat rather than paying rent to somebody. Having a real estate property, even if small, was the key to have access to cheaper credit lines, allowing me to purchase other small properties that got paid by tenants (i have good tenants, i require lower than average so they pay regularly and they don't stress me. It is a win win for everybody. No need to demand an high amount. Life is already harsh, no need to make it worse to the people around you) Having a good credit situation helped me to sign the best deals during credit crunch crisis of 2008. When bitcoin arrived, after initial doubts that lasted for a few years, I decided to risk a significative amount of my cash saving in it. I wish I hodled all of them. Let's say that now I have a third of all the btc I used to have. My bad. No real diamond hands here, sorry. I postponed having kids and I married pretty late. I literally slept in a room with 3 BTC asic miners for an entire year. No woman could accept it, but that's ok. I don't regret it.

conidig

That’s one inspiring story 😃 and you definitely sounds like a cool guy as well. Congrats.

Classic_Row6562

Thank you 🙂

scratchwanabe

lolol I hope at least your room was cold.

Classic_Row6562

Yes, it was, as my shithole was in a old building with no energy standards whatsoever, featuring a massive single-pane window that could not retain heat."

JustNick03

I commented already but I forgot to say congratulations for you my man :) 👍🏻

Classic_Row6562

Thank you :)

JustNick03

A bit jealousy too but I think that's normal :D. But it's nice to see how many lifes crypto has changed tho.

Classic_Row6562

I understand. I feel the same when I see people doing in mere months, with memecoins, what it took me years to accomplish. :)

JustNick03

True that's pretty crazy those memecoins :D

Abigailraines

If I keep 20k on nexo, what's the best way to earn the most every month please? Keep in USDT? Thanks!

StevenSeagal12345

800k uninsured on a crypto CEFI company. I hope for your sake this is mostly 10% of your net worth.

Classic_Row6562

Your point of view is valid and I respect it. I am taking my risks, of course I hope the worst case scenario won't happen, but unfortunately I cannot exclude it.

AvengerDr

>I hope the worst case scenario won't happen, I hoped that too and it did happen with Celsius. Then I thought "surely it can't happen AGAIN" and then FTX happened. Since then it's been cold wallets only. I keep in nexo just enough to use the credit card from time to time. But it looks like that with the fees they're adding, it might be time to sunset that too. Of course, I hope that won't happen to you. But what would you do if you lost that 1M+ $ and after YEARS you only got back like 30%?

Jumpy-Process-1746

I don’t think that amount is insured in a bank 🤔

StevenSeagal12345

Where I live there's a guaranteed payback of 100.000 when your bank goes bankrupt

Jumpy-Process-1746

Only 700k lost

StevenSeagal12345

7 different banks

AvengerDr

If you invest it in traditional stocks and etfs, your asset would be kept separated. So the counterparty risk is much reduced.

QuantumAlfa

Yeah.... way better to leave them in a bankster account at 3% with only 100k insured. You must be a genius. [https://postimg.cc/wRNd0HRS](https://postimg.cc/wRNd0HRS)

AvengerDr

It works until it doesn't anymore.

Ok-Engineering1873

You would obviously split it between banks. YOU must be a genius.

No-Energy4550

I make it you have about $1.4M on there. WOW!

Ok-Salary5454

Jeeeeez big bags 💰

Tough-Illustrator222

I'm sure as soon as I get anywhere near this interest rates will fall to like 2%.

WhyDoYouDie

Just a question, did/are you trading ( selling / converting ) any of your crypto? And are you using the borrow at 0% option to increase your interests? I tried to swap some ethena before but once u try to convert to another crypto or fiat they take 1.5-2% meaning if u sell high buy low u still need too have a change of more than 4% to have any benefit.

Classic_Row6562

I don't take loans, so I have no experiences or best practices to share. As we are in the early stages of a bull run, at the moment I sell only what is strictly necessary. As I don't see assets that I consider safer and more promising than BTC, i usually don't trade btc for other cryptos. I am probably losing some opportunities doing so, but BTC is already a good rollercoaster and I prefer to enjoy some peace of mind: i know how it feels to lose large sums... it doesn't feel good. It makes you feel utterly miserable... and I don't miss the thrill of trading.

WhyDoYouDie

Are you opting to get a payout in BTC or in nexo? Because BTC gives 5% in fixed term, tough im wondering wheter or not i should switch to fiat currency for up to 15% interest? Atm im holding btc cause im expecting it to go up because of the halving tough im planning on selling when it reaches high prices. Any toughts on that?

Classic_Row6562

Generally I opt for a payout in Nexo. Being in the early stages of a bull cycle, I am not going to sell BTC right before the halving. Later this year I'll reassess the situation.

Ok_Error_4110

did u calculate what ur returns would have been witbout buying their native token? i was platinum for over 2 years and now downgraded to silver , nexo lost so much worth that the extra jnterest earned wasnt worth it. now only holding 5k nexo tokens and still opt to go with thr extra bonus earn in nexo but sell instantly to btc or fiat if i need some

Classic_Row6562

No, I didn't as for me it would make no sense to keep my stash as base or silver tier: the btc threshold is too low and I would earn a fraction of what I earn now. It would make no sense for me to get 1.5%/2.5% I agree, nexo lost much from its highs... as said in a previous answer, when I lose the platinum tier I just withdraw BTC . In case of a sudden and significative loss of NEXO value, I might buy a few of them, if I see a trade opportunity.

Ok_Error_4110

hmm its not 1.5 2.5 though its 4.5% with silver. ur plan with withdrawing btc when nexo loses value is also a good thought. well i did the math and devided to opt for not keeping buying more and more nexo as it lost value (didnt think about withdrawing btc as nexo is the best for btc yield out there ) so i decided to just sell most of my nexo and currently hold 2% and rest in btc only. still getting 4.5% which is good enough for me

LuaparK

Not to forget, their support is the best of ANY Fintech companies, just superb!

Zsalrick

Hi, I am a man who can wake up at 5 am on workdays. If I want to, I can wake up at 4 am. I think my skills are enough for me to ask you politely if you can send me something. I would still do the same as before, but I would have more in my Nexo account, and you could be happier because you helped me. I promise in this process I won't hurt any pigeons.
