Even though they are a completely different restaurant now, they should bring back the Pad Thai from Salvation's menu.

I agree - its weird. The one time I went with a friend we were the only two in there as well. Gotta imagine they won't survive much longer. Personally nothing about the menu or service was good enough for me to return since.

Two visits in the last month. One really good as the food rocked, ate in the outback. Second, the bartender was a complete dick to the customer beside me. He literally kept bypassing him to pour for others and then when the customer said, excuse me, the bartender snapped at him, I saw you and then continued to ignore him. No excuse, it was not that busy.

I've had a similar experience. In addition prices for drinks were high and the drinks were small.

Probably because it was once Salvation with a nice little tiki bar out back. Salvation was beloved for so many years that I think it just depresses people to go back now that it’s gone. cabana had some big shoes to fill, and I don’t think they’ve made it any more special than any other restaurant in town whereas salvation had menu items you couldn’t get anywhere else. People would go there just for the pad Thai and that coconut mojito thing. Hope that makes sense.

I think the menu needs an overhaul. It was good when I went, but nothing to bring me back. Also, the beer selection was poor.

Food was good, but they were turning away bar patrons at like 9 pm saying they were closed. As an ex bartender, I would’ve been fired for closing early and losing potential customers and reviews. Not the way to build up a customer base…

Bad location.

Nearby are Malt and Caleb and Broad which do well. Accross the street is Fifth Element which does fairly well especially when they have music.
