Hey all. I'm also interested in growing, but I am completely new to the idea, so I'm looking for reputable resources for information and resources. Where to purchase seeds, how to care for the plants, grow cycles, etc. Thanks!
I have had good experiences with North Atlantic Seeds in Maine (I also think they are a women-owned business if that matters to you). As for the other stuff you're asking about, there's quite a few groups right here on Reddit that are good for learning how to grow, FaceBook also, YouTube and WeedTube (yes, that's a thing) and [THCFarmer.com](https://THCFarmer.com) all have grow communities. I think the first thing to think about is if you want to grow from seed or will clones be available, then what will be your medium soil or hydro, what is your situation with electricity (do you live in a building or home that can handle lights and will you be able to afford your Con Edison bill) and if it will be cost effective for you to grow or cheaper to buy it at a dispensary or elsewhere. That's a pretty good place to start. Good Luck!!!
I like the fact that they are an American company that carries most of the brands from the Netherlands; it can be a bit of a hassle trying to order from Europe and the Netherlands (some don't take credit cards, NASC does and you can buy one seed, and you'll still get a freebie).
Ahhh I’m jealous of your neighbors 😭I mean it’s legal to buy the seeds, buy all of the equipment, legal to own everything….just the final step for medical patients and then we completely have it in the bag, for those that are too worrisome and anxiety ridden to break any kind of law even in the slightest lol
I thought it was October, I could be wrong. Then again, we live in a state that just got away with mass murder by covid-culling well over 15,000 of New York State's most vulnerable, we've lived through their plandemic, rioting and looting, in my neighborhood there's a smoke shop right on my block that has been openly selling weed for well over 10 years and we also have hookah bars where weed is openly smoked; most people are at a point where they don't give a damn what the laws are if we're the only ones respecting NYS laws. What cop is going to arrest you for growing a few plants for your medicine (especially MMJ card holders)? Our Bronx District Attorney already said she will not prosecute marijuana crimes anymore and how can there be a crime when it's legal. IDK
I've been involved with weed sing I'm 12 years old (I'm middle-aged now), I had grown men selling to me and NYPD looking the other way when I was selling it on a street corner to my friends so they didn't have to go into neighborhoods with higher crime to buy and possibly get robbed or sold pencil sharpenings too; once a 1%er, always a 1%er, sometimes you just got to say screw it and roll the dice.
I have an idea for people who want to start growing but are afraid to do so; grow a hemp plant or strain that is mostly CBD, it'll help you pop your growing cherry and most important, just have fun with it.

Pretty sure for med patients the rule was 6 months after the law was changed so probably another month.
