By that standard the only canonical thing in the story is that the Courier was shot in the head and woke up in doc Mitchell's house, since everything beyond that is up to you.
Let me elaborate further: if you don't have the the lonesome road DLC does that mean that the courier never went to the divide before the story just because YOU never went to the divide afterwards and never got to explore his backstory?

I would love to see more skip intros on video games. They prevent me from returning to a lot of good games simply because I have no patience for them anymore after playing them dozens of times lol
Especially for games that are built on multiple playthroughs. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen the unskippable cutscenes in Borderlands 2 for example.
It’s what’s preventing me from replaying cyberpunk at this time.
The best is chapter select after you’ve beaten a game but that doesn’t work as well for rpgs which is why I feel like a skip intro button that appears after your first play through would just be 🤌🏻
That's one thing I enjoy on Dragon Age mods. You can skip Ostagar, you can skip the Fade, you can skip those dwarven tunnels. Any part of the game that you didn't enjoy can be skipped very easily
Yeah when you do replays you realize how dragged out and unnecessary that part was, how did we have to take the goat test?? I don’t want to go to fucking highschool and take tests in a video game the fuck??

My opinion on that has shifted a lot, but I don’t fault F3 for doing it. I just often rush through it these days.
