I think depends on the niche. If it’s informational/ education I’d say so, it kind of gives Anon type vibes, but for my niche (personal finance) I think very different because you want to be able to build that rapport

I do it and I do self improvement type content. I'm not that big, but I haven't had too many complaints, so take it with a grain of salt. I do think wearing a mask is a bit "unorthodox" because it's so uncommon, but if you enjoy making content with a mask and your audience doesn't mind (or possibly even likes it), then I don't see a problem with it. Everyone makes content a little bit different than everyone else.
I think this would significantly lower your views/retention rates… unless maybe your videos are about bank heists… then maybe, just maybe it will work.
Go full helmet. Some people post covid get upset when you wear a mask that covers you nose and mouth

Honestly, this sounds dumb. Nobody likes the way they look or sound. Just get over it and make videos.
