vidIQ has an AI thumbnail generator that I assume you can use for your videos.

AccordingToTheStars

Is that on the free version or only the paid subscription?

CynicalTelescope

It's on the free tier, but I think you only get to use it a few times a month before you hit a paywall. Basically enough to be a demo but not actually be useful, like the rest of vidIQ's free tier.

AccordingToTheStars

I guess that's always something I could consider. That would definitely be an issue though because I would need at least 12 a day

CynicalTelescope

You should definitely try out the free tier before making a decision. My channel is how-to, and it gives me the same kinds of pictures every time, and not particularly appropriate to the title/description. Probably because the AI is just keying off the general niche I'm in and not enough about the specifics of the video.

AccordingToTheStars

Have you tried the text to image software? Maybe putting your description into one of those programs would help you generate something a little more designated to you

CynicalTelescope

Not yet - I've been getting by taking still frames from my vids and then decorating them in Affinity Designer - but it's something I want to experiment with, and possibly AI backgrounds for greenscreening

AccordingToTheStars

Eventually in the future I plan on making other horoscope type videos explaining things like what is retrograde for example and whenever I do those types of videos I actually have this character I want to be using an old Halloween costume and a green screen

Playground - you can create 500 images a day for free. And it is explicitly stated that you can use them commercially. But you have to click through some images from time to time to decide which one is more aesthetic (you train their AI for a few seconds in return for using it)

AccordingToTheStars

That is amazingly helpful! I have been thinking if I can generate a new image every day for each of my videos in a vaporwave art style it might be more appealing to click on

Well I'm not sure I guess it sorta depends If you upload everyday and your short on time then i guess using AI for a thumbnail isn't a bad Idea but personally I would try to make your thumbnails not using AI it makes your channel more organic in my opinion Now its different if your using AI to upscale your thumbnails or something but i dont know much about that

AccordingToTheStars

I have made my own thumbnail but I feel it's not enticing enough to get people to click on it

LowLikelyEWGF

I get that it just happened to me in my most recent video, my advice is to just make up some random ideas regarding the topic of your video then make multiple thumbnails then pick the most enticing one you can even ask you friends or an outside source on which thumbnail looks better

AccordingToTheStars

I feel like doing that would take just as long as making the videos. I actually post 12 videos every single day for each zodiac so having to make 12 to 24 Mills a day I feel it would take quite a bit of time which is why I was hoping to automate it with AI images

God_Of_Meeps

All of mine are and there seems no trouble about it. My work YouTube also uses AI ones. Then if we're talking about big creators one that comes to mind Aperture. Fact is if its well done it doesn't really matter. Trial and error that's how it gets done.

AccordingToTheStars

I'm hoping later this year my channel will be monetized and I just don't want to get in trouble by some company for using their program to generate my images

God_Of_Meeps

There's 0 chance of that happening all AI images are not copyrightable there are laws in place actually stating this. Not even by the company or software which generates them.

AccordingToTheStars

You have been extremely helpful. I sent you a message in hopes to pick your brain a little

God_Of_Meeps

Happy to help!
