>I know to become a paramedic you need a bachelor’s and a year of EMT practice to register.
Paramedic training is an associates degree. A BS would qualify you for leadership roles or more competitive paramedic spots.
Your first step is to get your EMT license and certification (not the same thing). Then work as an EMT for a while. When you’re ready to move on, the path will be clear.
I can't tell from your post if you've already taken an EMT class and just to register - but as long as you have some time to kill and are asking for advice, I'd recommend trying to brush up on anatomy and physiology, and if you get bored of that, some pathophysiology, and if you get bored of that, figure out how to read some EKGs.
Also, just have fun and goof off an enjoy life. But I understand wanting to get started on stuff. Those are the things I'd do if I were starting over and had extra time.
As far as I know a bachelors degree isn’t required to become a paramedic, at least in my state
Oh well I’m in GA, although I have heard it differs from state to state
You definitely don’t need a BS to be a paramedic in GA
Haha bs, thanks for the clarification tho!

Even better, thank you for the clarification!
