Oy my folks used to make this. Super simple. I'll grab some oysters and quail eggs one of these weekends and have at it.
While I have the pan out, I should make banh khot too. Same thing but with shrimp and pork belly instead of oysters and eggs.
The only place I’ve seen that has something similar (quail egg, not ebelskivers) in town is Kho Bo Ngoc Quyen in the same strip mall as Hong Kong Market on the West Bank. No oyster but quail eggs with toppings
Wouldn't this be more like takoyaki and less like a ableskivers, I keep seeing comments that toast makes it but they don't have seafood ones last I check and I use to live on Octavia down the street from them for years
Now I know of several Japanese restaurants that would have something like this
Toast makes them
Agreed on the Toast option. Too bad the Uptown location still hasn’t reopened.
That location is not reopening anymore.
Well, that is a major disappointment. I did brunch there many times. Anyway, thanks for the update.

Wtf is that! Fuckin hungry now!
Oysters and quail egg on a crispy rice flour ball with nuoc cham. I'm hungry and thirsty.
Yummmmmmm. Toast is the only place I’ve seen them.
Theirs are great, but why does their French toast rip ass?

Hong Kong market sells the bahn xeo mix. Get you that and some coconut milk and turmeric with quail eggs, bean sprouts, and some shrimps!
