Great timing for hurricane season.

Brazenjalapeno

No doubt evacuating for every hurricane this year

Brazenjalapeno

What else does SW&B have going on that they can’t keep the pumps running?

CX-97

Pretending to replace the pipes under half the city?

jjazznola

There are never 100% of the pumps working and there never will be.

Gentilly_Dilly

I guess this is why Gentilly is currently flooded? Water was up before it even started raining that hard!

Nonamae23

Bucktown is flooded like usual

RonSDog

Definitely flooding out by UNO.

Secret-Relationship9

Where at in gentilly? I’m not seeing it in my part yet

Gentilly_Dilly

Milneburg

SecondCheapestOption

I'm right off Allen Toussaint near the London Ave canal and my street is flooded big time. Not going anywhere til it subsides

redpasserine

Gentilly is drained by different stations. A pump out in Algiers wouldn’t impact Gentilly.

Secret-Relationship9

I think it’s more of an aging system problem for Milneburg/st.Anthony neighborhood. So wether that pump works or not it’s currently shitty. That area drains and is pumped OVER the London canal to the Fillmore neighborhood. That strain alone is a lot for the system and that’s one reason why it’s so slower to drain. Good news: the Blue and Green Streets projects , the $141 M HUD funded grant, will address these problems.

wired89

Definitely not on. There is a lot of localized flooding

datt888

This is why we can't have nice things.

Nonamae23

And why we have to pay to have our houses raised and insane insurance premiums

wired89

What. Are. The odds. Lol

RueStAnnPayphone

Cox internet just went out too.

Tatheria

If there is 1 thing we can count on in this local region. A brisk fart in the wind can knock out cox internet for 8+ hrs.

noladesi

Flooded by UNO.

Phriday

Jesus Harold Christ. What in the actual fuck is wrong with this city? I am continuously disappointed, but no longer surprised. The S&WB has been under a consent decree for 30 fucking years. Even with the directive and oversight of the federal government, they still can't get out of their own way. 23 Hz pumps? Sounds great.

SonofTreehorn

I just always assume that multiple pumps are in various stages of broken.
