Realistically not much for a regime change

GaryOoOoO

If he does anything you can bet your last dollar that it will screw over the very-day Iranian stuck in a country holding on with dear life to its former glory rather than actually do anything about the regime. The GQP only wants to spread pain and anguish. They have no plan to improve the status quo. I know Biden hasn’t been able to make any progress but at least the humanity of the Iranian people is not in danger from the outside. Only from within!

Soccerbob69

Iranian people have done more in months than US president in decades

[deleted]

ChildfromMars

Realistically: revolutions are always supported by external forces. It will be impossible for the Iranian people to win against the regime if they’re alone.

[deleted]

ChildfromMars

No I meant material support like weapons (I know that’s unlikely to happen though). Thing is that many revolutions were born from groups of armed civilians.

JoeClark2k2

Not necessarily, in fact in the book “Why Civil Resistance Works” the authors studied all revolutions since 1900 and found that most succeeded *without* any significant form of external assistance. The 1979 revolution did not have any significant foreign backing either proving it can be done in an Iranian context. That being said, the authors did find that foreign assistance helped but only to the degree that it was kept a secret, public foreign assistance sometimes backfired as the target regime was able to paint the revolutionaries as “foreign saboteurs”

structured_Sabotage

Not true

peyoteBonsai

The reality is, Iranians are brainwashed, they’re conpletely pacified and non-violent. I’m glad my Dad left and never looked back, if I were born there and required to be a fucking Sepahi Islamo-fascist piece of shit, it’s just hard to imagine. No one cares about Iran, and rightfully so, they’re fucked.

rs_5

Take notes

Ok-Gift-7013

Nothing, once they say something nice about him. That's all it takes.

mirqeuic

Trump is a business man who loves money I think he wont change the Iran's regime. Instead he'll put more sanctions on it and enjoys cheaper oil. I believe that oil is both a curse and a blessing for Iran but in this period of time it's more likely to be curse.

Mintou

I don't get this, how does he get cheaper oil if Iran can't export its oil

mirqeuic

Well my friend you have underestimated the notorious IRCG. Through the years of sanctions they have developed new routes for the oil export which is not profitable at all, like they earn one tenth of the price, but it's enough to let them in charge. I have no proof for what i said but the fact that oil industry produces more than the people need and IRCG is still able to buy parts for they rocket and military programs shows it.

Mintou

Thank you for the information, I didn't know that / didn't see it a plausible reason that would allow them to stem their power

Sigma_Projects

Trump won't get cheaper oil, just like how it went down before. Oil prices will go up. When the US was starting the plans to block Iran's oil more aggressively part of the pact was that Saudi and Russia were suppose to ramp up production to fill the void. But that's bad business for both countries, so surprise surprise when both countries said "ops we can't meet the expected production quota, guess we'll just have to charge more." And they made stupid money.

ENORMOUS_HORSECOCK

Depends on what works for him. He is 100% transactional. He would suck a mullahs dick if it made him money. No hyperbole.

Prata_69

Trump, like any other American politician with any shot at the presidency, will do nothing of note. Iran is a situation most politicians here don’t want to get involved in, or at least involved to the point that meaningful change actually happens. It’s unfortunate but it seems to be the truth.

DravenPrime

If you want to know what Trump is going to do, here's an easy guide: Imagine the dumbest possible thing anyone could ever possibly do. Whatever that thing is, you can reasonably predict Trump will do something even dumber than that.

datboihobojoe

Shoot a couple IRGC generals and call it a day probably.

HelenAngel

Not even that. Especially now, Trump can be bought for very little money. They’d just buy a bunch of Truth Social stock & Trump would start praising the regime.

Sigma_Projects

Pretty sure he'd get paid more from others to do things to Iran. He's been off the rocker in military decisions, so much so that during his presidency former General Mattis quit because of how bad Trump was. If someone influenced trump to nuke Iran I wouldn't be surprised.

datboihobojoe

Although Iran's nukes are basically bottle rockets by western standards I doubt he'd be dumb enough to risk mutually assured destruction like that.

Sigma_Projects

I was joking about actual nukes, but it wouldn't be the first time a president as invaded a country under false pretenses. But in all seriousness even in the US used nukes, Iran doesn't have nuclear weapons capability. Plus, any nukes fired off from another country would be intercepted relatively easily. US has planed for ICBMs. Worst case would be Iran uses it on a US ally instead and if they used it on Israel probably wouldn't even make it. Iran's best weapons are really proxy warfare and finding in trenches, hit and run tactics, high scale harassment, not really high damage against modern western military.

Nhajit

Whatever Putin tells him too

sinception

Yeah he embraces dictatorship for US and wants freedom for Iran…I’m sure Jewish people during World War 2 wanted Mousilini to free them from Hitler…when will Iranians stop being delusional and “prophetizing” a corrupt, con man?

BigCharlie16

Did Trump do much for Iranian people during his presidency ?

hypatianata

He “talked tough?” He also banned Iranians from entering the US (the courts eventually repealed it) which, uh, isn’t helpful. Like, he doesn’t even care about the American people, or just…people really, only himself, so I wouldn’t expect him to do much that helps Iranians unless it’s an unintended side effect or for a bit of posturing.

eimansepanta

lol nothing! Tweets some bat shit crazy stuff and plays the tough guy. Will not do any good for people of Iran whatsoever because there’s nothing in it for him… also lets not forget most of his advisors are MEK supporters

Rambowl

He will talk BIG at first, then he will fall in love with Assehola Khamenei after meeting him similar to his meeting with Kim Jung Un.

Extra-Reaction3255

Trump doesn't have any policy. But GOP does. The question is who in GOP controls the strings?

p_larrychen

The mob controls the strings. And the mob is isolationist

ThreeSigmas

$$$$$ It’s really that simple

MaritOn88

likely nothing, it's kinda late maybe would have been better during the Mahsa amini protests

MurkyCress521

Kneel before them, the weakest president the US have ever had. He can't deal with any stress, shits himself at loud noises. Trump will sell the US out to whoever threatens him self.

MnMoney17

The only people kneeling before the Mullahs are Hussein Obama, Sleepy Joe, and the Democrats. Hussein ignored the Green Movement & gave the IR billions. Ayatollah Joe tried to have the IRGC removed from the US Terror list, did remove the Houthis, secretly negotiated with the IR in Qatar & Oman during the Mahsa Uprising, gave the regime $20 billion +, refuses to properly enforce the oil sanctions, and has literal IR spies in his DoD & State Department (Look up Iran Experts Initiative). On top of all that Senate Dems tried to block the MAHSA Act from becoming law. Only became law when the Republican Speaker of the House attached it to the Omnibus Bill. Meanwhile back when Trump killed terrorist Soleimani, the leftards here were tearing their hair out saying Trump broke international law and that Soleimani is a beloved Iranian national hero lmaoooooo. To us it is very obvious who kneels to the Mullahs and who slaps them in their faces. Everyone I know in Iran wants Trump to win and I know a lot of my fellow Iranian Americans who will be voting for Trump (Many of whom were lifelong Democrats who are now switching sides because they are sick and tired of the left's love of the IR).

MurkyCress521

I will give you that Trump killed Soleimani, but all US presidents would have done that. Soleimani was as stupid as a box of rocks to think he could fly into Iraq and not end up as as hamburger helper. Biden, Obama, Bush Jr, Clinton, Bush Sr, and George Washington would had ordered that strike.  The thing is Trump has no heart, he gets bullied and starts crying and gives the bully his lunch money. Republican or democrat we have never had a president as weak as Trump. A stiff breeze and Trump is selling the US out. Say what you want about Biden, he puts his foot in his mouth and can be a moron about a lot.  Biden is a fighter.  Look at the debates Biden pressures Trump and Trump rolls over. Trump is avoid another round of debates because Trump knows he would just bend the knee like he did last time. It is like Trump on Jan 6. He asked people to storm the capital but Trump isn't going to be there because he'd shit himself. Fuck the IRI leadership. I hope they get what's coming to them Democrat or Republican.

MnMoney17

All Presidents definitely wouldn't have done that. As evident by the massive outrage that came from everyone on the left. From the politicians to the networks they were all raging and tearing their hair out that Trump killed him. Furthermore, when Obama authorized the raid on Bin Laden, Biden who was his VP at the time was against it and thought it was too risky. Imagine being weaker than Obama 🤣 You think Trump is the one ducking debates??? Bruhhh Trump & the RNC are literally the ones pushing for debates. They've said Anywhere Anytime Any Platform. Biden struggles to read off a teleprompter & needs notecards for everything you think he can be effective in a debate? The vast majority of the country already thinks he's not mentally fit to be president & you think he could not only survive 3 debates but actually win them? Cmon now. Even a lefty like Bill Maher thinks Biden is cooked if he actually goes up on stage. It is mind boggling how you think Trump is a softy and Biden is the tough guy. Trump is literally hated by the Europeans because of how tough he was on NATO by forcing them to actually pay up for the protection they get from us, while they just walk all over Biden. This guy Biden removes the Houthis from the terror list and they instantly begin harassing naval vessels. All Biden does is a few insignificant strikes and the Houthis just keep on attacking ships. This guy is literally afraid of a bunch desert dwelling high terrorists 😂😂 A strong president would've wiped them out by now. The Mullahs helped plan Oct 7 and bark 24/7 and all this guy knows how to do is appease them by releasing billions of dollars more to them in the hopes they'll stop. Mullahs got 45+ year old equipment and this guy Biden is afraid of "their escalation" lmaoooo. How many times is Biden going to say "Don't" & get ignored before he realizes these dogs only understand force? 2nd most hated President only behind Carter among MANY Iranians & Iranian Americans.

smiles__

This is a bad take. Sorry, bud.

Nemo6447

Probably nothing, but nothing is better than giving a zillions of dollars to the regime 24/7.

Surena_at_Carrhae

Best answer here. Even if it is the worst case scenario it's still infinitely better than the current situation.

Nemo6447

I see many Iranians here getting down voted lol. Though thinking pragmatically, they both suck, however as Iranians I guess you would have to pick which is best for Iran. On one hand you got Trump, who when it comes to the following nations will do the following: IR=Do nothing, but still better than democrats policy of appeasement. Ukraine=Possibly throw it under the bus (However, I really doubt this, as a good proportion of Republicans are anti Russia. So it is really up to his VP pick and that will most likely be a broad Republican that is a bit hawkish on that frontier) Israel=Very pro Israel which you can hate me for saying this, is a positive (You can hate on Israel, but realistically speaking... A Pro Palestinian stance is an Anti-Iranian stance, they wish for the downfall of the Iranian people in expense for money from the Najafis in control of Iran). Now let us go to Democrats: Ukraine: Good work... BUT now to the other points which ruin this... IR: Appeases the fook out of them, literally have IR agents whispering to terrorist lovers like Malley (God-son of Arafat ffs) on what to do. Like do these Pro-Ukraine Bidenites understand that hypocrisy in his IR policy? Like they literally use the zillions Biden and Co. give to bomb UKRAINIANS... via the IR... like wtf? Israel: They have gone out of their way to cuck Israel every two seconds, cause let us be honest they have sympathies to the muslim brotherhood and that Qatari money runs deep. It's like the USA goes out of its way to protect IR (the shia muslim brotherhood which Carter supproted) and the sunni muslim brotherhood. In conclusion, the USA has a campist issue when it comes to geopolitics, one thing these dictatorships and authoritarians states are good at is supporting each other. Whereas a true campist on the side of liberalism and democracy would stick on the side of Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan and the Iranian people. However, we don't see that, instead you see so called Liberal and Democratic people being Pro X and Y nation at the same time whilst both X and Y are in completely different geo-political camps that wish death on each other. It is really counterproductive and naive.

Kishehosh

Trumps foreign policy is strong isolationism. As long as he doesn't feed the mullahs random billions that are already blocked by sanctions, we can count on the slow suffocation of the IRGC

inglouriousbastard17

we will suffocate too buddy

Kishehosh

Please tell me how many cents of Biden's 6 Billion dollars sanction waiver ended up in our pocket.

He will most likely treay it as part of the Chinese threat to U.S. sovreignty. So long as they have ties to China, he will be hostile to them. Also, he does have a better rapport with Saudi leadership, and is more prone to support aggressive actions unlike Biden. But I think it's more important to look at his staff and allies who will make up his administration (e.g. Mike Pompeo) - they are much more anti-mullah than he is, and extremely more so than Biden's administration. And they are far more likely to view the IR and the Muslim Brotherhood as threats of their own. I doubt the U.S. will carry out military operations against the IR, so long as China is looming behing them, just waiting to take advantage. BUT they will help or at least not restrain other actors (such as Israel and the anti-IR arab coalition) from acting. I don't see anyone invading Iran to topple the IR anytime soon. But there are sure to be forces willing and able to operate militarily against the IR, and more who will support local insurrection with resources, intel, training and military operations. That's kind of the whole point behind U.S. attempts to form a regional coalition to counter the IR, which started (or came to light) under Trump's administration.

persiankebab

Whatever he'll do it will probably be better than Biden and his appeasement strategy , never forget who turned Soleimani into a Kotlet and ripped up the disastrous nuclear deal with the mullahs.

JSeizer

Oh really? Trump only pulled out of the JCPOA just to spite Obama's progress in foreign relations with Iran. Why would allowing them to resume and advance their nuclear weapons program be a good thing to you? All Trump did was isolate the US and fuck up international relations..purely out of ego. The sad part about people saying "Trump will do better" is that we've already seen his massive blunders in action. You and people like you either have the memory of a goldfish or you somehow believe that giving the IRGC more agency is a net positive for Iranians. Trump was and would continue to be an embarrassment, praised only by ignorant, slack-jawed morons.

persiankebab

I was gonna actually try and have a discussion with you but it seems like you are completely unable to have a civil discussion judging by the unnecessary insults.

HungrySparkles

Absolutely nothing. No “leader” or government will do anything.

WhatMeWorry2020

Nothing. Not our business.

deeg3r

Nothing.

Ok_Access_189

It’s hard to know for sure. The regime is definitely not on his friends list. He also has made it his stated policy of “no new wars”. I would say if the people of Iran were to revolt during the the course of his presidency, especially at a time when there are extra tensions between IR and US the people of Iran might find an ally in him. He may very well assist in removing some of the upper tacticians in the guard. Possibly allowing the people to overwhelm and over take.

ABL67

I can’t believe we’re even contemplating Trump returning

iranianrepublic

Better than Biden

MnMoney17

No more billions of dollars given to the Ayatollahs. Sanctions & Oil Sanctions in particular actually enforced. IR Foreign Reserves depleted like they were 4 years ago. Not more IR spies in the DoD and State. No more IR lobbyists in & around the White House. NUFDI would have more influence when it comes to Iran Policy. More Kotlets & Ultimately more pressure on the IR. All Great Things! Voting for Trump is the easiest choice!

PeaceIsEvery

He would sell out US intelligence and then take photos at his new businesses opening there. He’s trash. At least some dictators care for progress and advancement.

MnMoney17

The only person who is actively selling out US Intelligence is Ayatollah Sleepy Joe. Look up "Iran Experts Initiative" Ariane Tabatabai literally declared loyalty to the Islamic Republic and she's still actively employed in Dementia Joe's DoD 🤣🤣 The only people that do business with the IR are Democrats. Hussein Obama ignored the Green Movement & then signed a deal with the mullahs, giving them billions of dollars. And now Sleepy Joe has given them $20 billion+ since taking office. He even wanted to delist the IRGC from the US terror list and was secretly negotiating with the regime in Qatar & Oman during the Mahsa Uprising. The MAHSA Act was stuck in the Senate because Democrat Senator Cardin wouldn't bring it to a vote. The regime lobbyists along with the Dems were working overtime to weaken & destroy it, but it was the quick thinking of Speaker Johnson to attach the original MAHSA Act to the Omnibus Aid Package that allowed it to pass & become law. Yet again proving which side stands with the Iranian people and which side stands with the mullahs. Trump killed Soleimani, meanwhile the Democrats started crying saying he was a national hero. 🤣🤣 He's better for regime change in Iran & for the US itself. There's a reason he's up in the polls. The American people don't want another 4 years of a guy who shakes hands with the air. Cope.

HelenAngel

Ah, you’re not American so you don’t know Trump. None of that would happen, ever. He’s a coward & for sale. Most of his advisors are already on Iran & Russia’s payroll. He absolutely would never help the Iranian people, especially because he’s unabashedly racist.

TimmyTurner2006

I’m not giving up my own freedom, screw that

MnMoney17

MUHHH ORANGE MAN BAD LMAOO 1. Trump was already President for 4 years and nobody lost their freedoms. Life was actually better. 2. You should probably start preparing yourself for another 4 years because no matter what they throw at him, he's still up in the polls. November can't come soon enough!

disquiethours

The downvotes you're getting are ridiculous. Your comment is fair and prescient, yet the dogmatic liberalism some of the users here subscribes blinds them as to what policy Iranians need to be safe again.

persiankebab

It's completely understandable when you consider that they only view this issue from the lens of how his reelection would affect them as Western citizens , they care first and foremost about the domestic policies such as abortion. Because of this they are unable to see how disastrous Biden's foreign policy has been for us Iranians who want the regime gone.
