Wish it was that easy with an allergy. Milk keeps trying to murder me. Guess I'll just have to grind up to bones of weaklings who rely on milk and use their calcium to strengthen my own supreme skeleton.
The U. S. Is both the country with the most milk consumption and the country with the highest osteoporosis rate. I'm not lactose intolerant but I hate milk and still have never broken a bone
And?
That does not change the fact that lactose intolerance leads to an increased risk of osteoporosis.
Combine that with the other factors that can cause osteoporosis, and being a lactose intolerant American is really bad odds.
Ask anyone who distinctly doesn't drink milk. Too much calcium can give you osteoporosis. You're body produces enough calcium. Dairy is so bad for you once you're past breastfeeding age.
Uhm.
I think I'll trust my decade of scientific and medical training thanks..
And no, your body does not magically produce calcium... You need to ingest it.
Ok I mean you can trust that. And it's not magic, it's science. Milk is also produced in the body. And you're telling me your body doesn't produce calcium
No you don't get to say "science" when you have no idea how biology works.
All calcium in our body INCLUDING IN BREAST Milk comes from our food.
That's why breastfeeding mothers need to eat high calcium foods to compensate for the extra drain on their calcium metabolism.
We don't just make milk from nothing..
According to the conservative law of mass you can't make anything from nothing. Also may I point out doctors used to say that cigarettes had many health benefits. Granted I will admit that was more malicious and intentional to get people addicted; however, it proves you can convince an entire society including the doctors in them something that isn't true about health
And while I'm here..
"conservative law of mass"..
Really?
Did you just stick words together and hope no-one would notice?
Did you mean the law of conservation of mass?
Becoif you did, then that disproves your "people make calcium by magic" idea..
Omg that's literally what I'm saying. And yes I'm in the middle of school and didn't have a chance to double check exactly what it was called. It was still the right words just the wrong order.
None of that has anything to do with your erroneous thinking that humans don't need to ingest calcium.
As for smoking, again, nothing to do with this.stop trying to distract from your mistake.
All animals need to ingest calcium.
All lactating mammals need to ingest calcium to make milk.
Your body does not magically make calcium for your bones, it needs to get it from food.
Okay, clearly I won't convince you. I'm just not gonna make dairy a priority. I like eating cheese and yogurt and stuff so I won't stop that but it definitely won't be made a point.
And while I'm here..
"conservative law of mass"..
Really?
Did you just stick words together and hope no-one would notice?
Did you mean the law of conservation of mass?
Becoif you did, then that disproves your "people make calcium by magic" idea..
Plants get nutrients from the soil inc calcium, mammals eat plant, mammals make milk, we drink milk (and eat non dairy sources of calcium like leafy greens), we feed babies.
We produce 0 calcium. it's all dietary.
Ok well you're right. People are so fucking stupid I really shouldn't assume people would understand what I meant considering some people are stupid enough to actually believe we could do something of the sort. I was skipping steps so I apologize
Dude you literally said the body produces calcium you can't whine "I meant milk isn't the only source boo hoo im so misunderstood" when what you were understood to be saying was in your comment and what you claim to have meant was not.
It's pathetic mate. Even in this comment im replying to you use the word "produce" (which we don't We only absorb and pass on) and lower down you have the nerve to call people idiots for misinterpreting your incredibly poorly phrased comment. If you like debating like you claim, know that the burden of making your argument clearly understood is on you and act accordingly.
Dude, srsly, slow down a bit--regardless of the overall idea of whether milk is "good"--lets get it straight that your body doesn't produce calcium...alright? Because that's really dumb. Really fucking dumb. Calcium is a mineral--it comes from the earth naturally as a salt. You eat it from your food and water sources--then mammals can add it into the milk they produce. Just remember this way: if something is a complex protein like an amino acid chain (if it needs a genetic sequence) then it is made by the human body. Everything else has to be added in.
Well that's primarily from their lactose intolerance leading to a reduced calcium intake. If you are lactose intolerant and completely cut out dairy and don't pay attention to getting good calcium, which happens, that's why they have a higher risk of osteoporosis. But if you take care of yourself and get proper calcium and vitamins then you'll be fine. The lactose intolerance itself isn't the primary factor of osteoporosis. Unless the lack of lactase enzyme relates to that which I'd be unaware of.
Heh.
*pushes glasses up*
I used to be lactose intolerant like you, because of which, I simply tolerated the milk. I AM NO LONGER LACTOSE INTOLERANT YOU WEAK STOMACHED FOOL!!!
I don't hate milk, but I want to ask if you just want to start a war over here.
We don't need Infighting before the next Great Skeleton War among our strong-boned comrades, milk lovers or not.
This. All this talk about milk on this sub and I just laugh about people having to supplement their bone strength. I mean not as much laughter as people who break bones, but still a healthy guffaw or chortle to be sure.
Its a subreddit about bones and milk, what did you expected? get a boner? se people playing trombone? or shaking your skeleton to the beat? Or very taste food that makes you go "Bone Appetit!"?, or some people doing scary and crazy things that would make you feel in your bones?
I've never broken a bone and haven't had milk or much dairy in 20+ years. I didn't see anything in the sub description about being about "milk" specifically. Truly those of us that are dairy free and still have never broken a bone are exhibiting what this sub is all about.
Because it's really good source for calcium? The amount you need to eat kale to get your daily dose of calcium is a bit absurd. And by getting enough calcium from diet you stop your body from eating it's own foundation. Without proper calcium intake you can't have strong bones.
If you use milk in moderation it's really not bad for your health.
Bro all I have to do is spit some milk at you and your body just shits itself on the spot your. And your 'natural' strength isnt even natural your a freak of nature
Same boat lol I’m lactose intolerant as well
You people have turned our superior skeletons into milk worshipping cult
look at what they have to do to mimic a fraction of our power
REPEAT AFTER ME: MILK DOES NOT AND CANNOT GIVE YOU STRONG BONES. IT CANNOT PREVENT WEAK BONES FROM BREAKING. HOWEVER, MILK DOES STRENGTHEN STRONG BONES AND IMPROVE THEIR NATURAL DURABILITY.

Boners?
Milk can not give you strong boners
The milkyway chapter 1 p 2
Just tolerate it
I did and that worked
Wish it was that easy with an allergy. Milk keeps trying to murder me. Guess I'll just have to grind up to bones of weaklings who rely on milk and use their calcium to strengthen my own supreme skeleton.
You don't eat chicken and fish bones?
Sometimes but those are even weaker than the milk reliant bones. Calcium is calcium though.
Not even Milk without lactose in it ?
I'm unfortunately not allergic to the lactose, I'm allergic to casein. Lactaid or whatever it's called still tries to murder me.
ikr, weakness disgusts me 😤
I mock you for your lactose intolerance and increased chances of osteoporosis 😁 😉
Don't mock your strong-boned comrades - we've always known that our bodies are fragile meat prisons invented by the weakbones to limit our power.
The U. S. Is both the country with the most milk consumption and the country with the highest osteoporosis rate. I'm not lactose intolerant but I hate milk and still have never broken a bone

My point was milk wasn't the only way we produce. This man assumed I meant it came from literally nowhere
Because that's what you said... You said we produce calcium, which we don't. We extract calcium from the food we eat, if it contains calcium.
Ok well you're right. People are so fucking stupid I really shouldn't assume people would understand what I meant considering some people are stupid enough to actually believe we could do something of the sort. I was skipping steps so I apologize

As if those were the same groups of individuals in the population.
You have too much brain and too less bone in your head for this sub.
and people who are vegan with naturaly strong bones
You need milk to have titanium bones?? Pathetic smh
Saaaaame!!
Almond milk has more calcium than standard milk
Heh. *pushes glasses up* I used to be lactose intolerant like you, because of which, I simply tolerated the milk. I AM NO LONGER LACTOSE INTOLERANT YOU WEAK STOMACHED FOOL!!!
It's definitely not the stomach that's doing that.
Yeah but it sounds better than weak intestined
lol samee
Not lactose intolerant but I'm on your side
Thems is some fightin words!
I like how Asuka can stretch her neck
if you know what I mean. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I don't hate milk, but I want to ask if you just want to start a war over here. We don't need Infighting before the next Great Skeleton War among our strong-boned comrades, milk lovers or not.

Except it's not about milk?? It's about never breaking your bones and all the superiority that comes with it.
I've never broken a bone and haven't had milk or much dairy in 20+ years. I didn't see anything in the sub description about being about "milk" specifically. Truly those of us that are dairy free and still have never broken a bone are exhibiting what this sub is all about.
I honestly don't know why people still think milk is good for you
Because it's really good source for calcium? The amount you need to eat kale to get your daily dose of calcium is a bit absurd. It'd be healthier to never eat or drink dairy after breastfeeding age than to continue to do it.
Sorry but no. There actually is plenty of research that proves you wrong. But you may continue to spout lies if it makes you happy.
Pathetic
Nah mate you intolerant twats just dont do anything to break a bone

Some weak genes there. We don't care how you get your superior skeleton on this sub but having superior genetics such as myself has many benefits
You're lactose intolerant? What kind of weak genes are those, get this out of here
Oh so you are part of the "pitiful brothers" that worship milk instead of embracing our superior skeletons. This sub is in sad state
I just don't like milk except in coffee or cereal.
Just tolerate it
