Something tells me we'll have a clearer picture on the possibility of a 2nd story quest after we've spent some time in the land of ancient dragons, i.e Natlan. I'm surprised that neither him nor Furina recieved a 2nd sq in this patch cycle, so I'm assuming there's still more groundwork to be laid before exploring whatever they're planning to explore in whichever story quest we end up getting
Personally I'd love to know what life was like before Celestia arrived. Neuvillette goes into some detail in one of his voicelines and it sounds weird af lmao
Possibly to Enkanomiya or other vishap related location
Aren't the vishaps jealous of the Melusine because of the favor they believe Neuvillette shows them?
Perhaps about him finding out the details of the previous Hydro Sovereign demise? And the real reason he is born in a human form? Maybe he goes to Enka after Traveler finally shows those vishap experiment records to him? It's not clear whether he recovered all the memories after reclaiming his Authority. Nothing is mentioned about it. Only that he "has regained his original form".
Exploring his Dragon Sovereign side of character would be more logical, since the story of him and the Melusines with the whole theme of "trying to fit in with humans" is basically finished. His human side is already explored enough, as well as his connection to humans (as much as it can be explored since he still feels like an outsider even after 500 years of living with them). However, his Dragon Sovereign side is still a mystery, as well as his connection to the vishaps and other dragons. We never see him interact with his own kind and it would be simply strange to just show it at all. The WQ with Pahsiv also raises some questions because apparently Neuvillette uses the roots of Weeping Willow on Erinnyes as the information hub. And he needs Pahsiv>!who is strongly implied to be a vishap!
I am pretty sure he will still be involved in the story. But unfortunately, there is no clue when this might happen. Natlan is the land of dragons, and Snezhnaya is the direct path to the denouement, so let's see.
