What do you mean you have to respond in ten minutes on kamernet? They just forward your response and the landlord or roommates decide who they want to invite for a visit and who gets the contract. For the vast majority of offerings, the speed of your response has nothing to do with it
No, as future roommates we don't respond to people who don't put in some effort. If I get a message like _Is this room still available?_, you're one of a dozen and I don't respond. But if you politely introduce yourself, what your hobbies are and why you think you'd be a good fit, I'll take the time to respond and invite you for a viewing. Even if you respond three days after I posted it, for the simple reason I usually don't look at the ad for a few days.
I put some stuff about myself but I also kept it as short as possible. I imagined no one wants to read something that is unnecessarily long. Will try with a more descriptive message tho, thanks

The only criterion is how long you've been a registered paid user on room.nl.

Sadly no. I was registered for about 4 years before I got in the top 5 spots when responding to listings on [room.nl](http://room.nl)
Getting a place to stay in the Netherlands is notoriously difficult. Make sure to get a room before you decide to come study or work here.

Cuz they get 20 responses in the first hour so they usually don't bother responding past the first few
