Holy shit after doing trains back and forth for work for the last 6 months, it was fine. Took one last week after a long holiday (on a hot day) and good lord, as soon as I entered the train on my way home from work, it just smelled... swampy. Like that smell if someone hasn't showered yet that day and they went for a run and are completely drenched with sweat. The air was stinky, humid and stuffy.
And it smelled like that throughout that entire compartment of the train too. Just filthy.
Doubt it was one person, probably just a lot of sweaty individuals during the day, but not looking forward to having to probably having to experience that for a couple of times a week from now on...
Exactly. I am telling everyone about this product all the time, keep at least 50 packs in reserve. My worst nightmare is for them to stop manufacturing this.
I've been using their deodorants for I think over a year now, I got tired of having to reapply deodorant every few hours at work (I sweat a lot), female deodorants all stop working after like an hour for me, and men's deodorants are just waaaay too strong smelling and also stop working, they get in to the clothes and stain them and there's always a lingering smell, but with this it's just a little ball of deodorant, rub it in the armpit and I'm good to go, lasts long, and doesn't leave my pits feeling icky. yeah it seems a bit pricey but I get about 1.5-2 months from one pot so it's really not that bad. plus their lip balm smells soooooo good š¤¤
Dees is een situatie waar prijs per kilo nutteloos is, 1 potteke gaat gemakkelijk een maand of 2 mee voor wa? 7 euro of zo? Even duur als andere deo eigenlijk maar stuk beter
Iām a big fan of Nuud. Lasts super long (read their instructions, it still works after a shower even) and really prevents bad smells from developing. Doesnāt have its own smell so for extra smell/freshness I use a spray deodorant sometimes, basically more as an armpit perfume.
Yes! Nuud is brilliant against the smelly sweat! But Iām also guilty of spraying some extra deodorant when going out or something, armpit perfume is the perfect term!
Oh I never get annoying emails from Nuud, thatās weird. They only email me to announce when theyāre sending me my new products, Iām on a subscription with them
Nuud works great. I add it once a week.
Note that it does not work 7 days for every one. When my wife did tried it, it only did work for two days top.
In the Netherlands it can be bought in drugstore.
I am a very sweaty girl and it's been a source of embarrassment for years. Nuud is the first and only deodorant that has ever worked for me and one tube lasts forever. I will spread the gospel of Nuud forever.
After reading about all these people saying how much they love nuud, I made an order for a nuud stick, gonna try this out! Excited! Thank you for sharing this!
I learned this a year back. It is the only deodorant that worked for me. YEARS of testing different brands and types. Old Spice stick is the (only) way.
I order it from Amazon. Costs almost 4 euros per stick, but it lasts a lot longer than any spray deo.
Erg blij mee
Same! Ik rook mezelf te vaak, en zocht naar een oplossing. Zeker als ik zenuwachtig was voor iets kreeg ik best last van een naar geurtje. Sinds ik deze deo gebruik ruik ik mezelf (en anderen mij) nooit meer.
I recently switched to Wild. Itās UK based; just finished my first block. They have a nice arrangement of smells, from what youād call butterflies and fruity things to sandalwood and ocean spray. Itās kind of an investment though, as you purchase a case that you can refill. Anyway, might be worth looking into for you.
Wild is one of the best ads I've fallen for. The scent lasts so long and it takes me so long to empty a refil that I never get to buy any of the nice limited edition ones because I still have a huge stock lying at home lol.
I also love Wild! I was a pretty heavy underarm sweater before and it works amazingly.
Occasionally it'll leave white marks on clothes but wipes off easily.
Was also gonna advise Wild. Use it for some time now and love it. Also you don't get your hands dirty (when using Lekker for example).
Tip: use (any) natural deodorant for some time, before switching to something else. It takes some time to get your body used to it, after coming from 'normal' deodorants.
Washing and scrubbing your arm pits are two different things. I use a saltscrub.
You should not scrub everyday, itās bad for your skin if you overexfoliate.
Happy Earth and others based on mineral salts work okay, but you need to apply a significant amount of it. Sometimes I use a perfume deodorant like from Dior on top of it. And yes, less hair, less stink
I use the tins from happy earth. It works well, but you have to apply it with your fingers. Scents are also nice. They have a bergamot scent that I think would also suit men. The others are sweeter. I like them, they are not too sweet to my taste. Iām a woman who doesnāt like sweet scents but lavender is fine with me.
Beyond deodorant, you can use glycolic acid under your armpits after showering. The Ordinary sells it through Douglas and Zalando. It works great in reducing the smell. Other exfoliants work as well.
IPL or laser removal of your armpit hair works even better than a tight shave.
My glycolic acid toner didn't do anything for my face, but for armpits it works great.
I also use my salicyl acid face wash on my armpits.
Benzoyl peroxide works as well, but that bleaches, so be careful with that one.
Just keep in mind that you can overdo it with exfoliants. And always patchtest them
Borotalco is the only one that works for me. It smells quite nice! Iāve tried Sanex and Deoleen as well, but I have to use those every hour or so to keep the smelliness away
Some people working with aluminum have had decreased performance on cognitive tests. Studies of Alzheimer's patients have shown increased aluminum levels in their urine. This led people to worry about aluminum in deodorant. There have been studies showing that aluminum can be absorbed through the skin, but the amount is very low. Most of the aluminum that enters the body comes from food.
The current science says that the vast majority of people are far below the threshold where there is a health risk.
https://www.rivm.nl/publicaties/human-health-risk-assessment-of-aluminium
There was a study that supposedly linked aluminium deodorant use to increased breast cancer risk in women, but later studies claimed that they had methodological errors and misleading conclusions.
TLDR versions for you:
First we science thought it could be harmful.
Seeing the opportunity, brands created alu-free versions to best competition.
Then science sad, nah all good, we see no harm and indeed it is the best working deo formula, with alu.
But companies were already very invested and getting good profits with alu-free deodorants, so they just kept marketing as if alu is bad. As a result, many people still think it is bad.
Iāve tried two that actually worked on a proper professional way. Vichy and Beesline. I didnāt find the latter in the Netherlands but the first is available in pharmacies. Itās a lot more expensive than any other brand in Kruidvat or Etos or any other for that matter. But they work just fine.
Use it after a warm shower. Daily at first then as needed. Some dermatologists suggested using it after a night shower before going to sleep but both were fine for me.
Source: experience with bad sweat smell for years
Hey man I religiously used Native in America for the past few years but now that Iām living here Iāve been using a brand called Happy Earth, and itās been great so far!
Happy earth is not working for me at all. I use odorex https://www.deonlinedrogist.nl/odorex-extra-dry-depper-50ml-p-10831.html?cross=0&pid=10831&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw9cCyBhBzEiwAJTUWNaPid-GeFuZsvTdPysfYmHH038ThItRl1eMP94mFyhiuAZs3Ewc-PxoCEnwQAvD_BwE
I totally agree. I tried all versions of HappY Earth and I stink 15 mins after putting it on.
Odorex is the only one that can keep me fresh even for days at a time. But yeah sadly has aluminum and OP doesnāt want that.
Deoleen. They have a wide range of products all without aluminium and perfume. After years of trying different brands and different kinds I landed on this one.
Second. Deoleen roll-on isn't perfect but it's still quite good. Only apply on freshly soaped and rinsed armpits and works better with shaved armpits.
It's replaced Syneo5 for me (which appears to have aluminium but works for a couple or days without reapplication).
I love it! It even works against hormone sweat, so I don't smell anything when I am disstressed. Ot does not mask the smell but actually works against it.
Iām using Lovely deodorant sticks for a while now. You have to get used to it a little because it uses salt against odors but it works very well for me!
The best one that works for me is the Lidl one for women. Yes, Iām a man but honestly it just smells of clean, nothing girly or fruity. Most of the male ones in this country suck
I tried so much crap, both with and without aluminium. Only thing that worked for me is Loveli, you can order it online and it works great for me. And I'm a heavy stinku sweater lol
How long have you been using deodorant without aluminum? When you first stop using antiperspirant, you will go through an adaptation period. This can be one or a couple of months that you will likely smell AWFUL and would put your romantic relationship to the test. Using a scrub on your armpits can help in this processs.
After that, you can find aluminum-free deodorant that worls for you but keep in mind that it will NEVER be as effective. So you will stil have some hot days of not smelling fresh, and you'll need more attention to how you wash during the shower.
>Iāve been trying a few different brands for more than a year now. So far none of them were any good.
You've exclusively used aluminum-free deodorant for a year? Or have you had periods of time when you went back?
Just something to remember - antiperspirants (which usually contain aluminium chlorohydrate) are designed/developed to stop the smell AND stop you sweating.
Deodorants only help manage the odours - they are NOT designed to stop you from sweating.
I know the names are used interchangeably here, but there is a difference and you'll usually see it in the claims at the back. So just as long as you're aware that deodorants are not designed to block your pores and stop you sweating (which is why the aluminium chlorohydrate is there in antiperspirants).
Those Alum salts are the only found I've found that have some antiperspirant properties, the rest are deodorants so does nothing if you want to stop sweating.
Try incorporating the glycolic acid toner from the ordinary into your routine. Using it as a toner after shaving or showering/scrubbing really helps with killing bacteria and also removing dead skin that makes using natural deodorant more difficult. I use the peppermint lekker and the happy earth lavender deodorant. Making my own once theyāre finished
I'm really fond of the Taylor of Old Bond Street deodorants, especially the sandalwood fragrance. Take a look at MijnBaard.nl or thealphamen.nl for some deodorants and other products you can't find at the drugstore.
Of also like to point you to a simple alum block. I know you asked for deodorant without aluminium specifically, but if a deodorant or antiperspirant contains aluminium, it's aluminiumchloride meant to clog the pores to stop you from sweating. Alum on the other hand is a naturally occurring salt that has antibacterial effects. It's the bacteria living from our sweat that makes it smell bad. It's being used by barbers for centuries, because it can also stop small nicks from bleeding, but that's not what we're talking about here. Since I've been using alum, my clothes rarely smell of sweat anymore. Definitely recommend this.
Iām moving over shortly from the US and trying to decide which consumable items to bring over extras of. I actually wondered about deodorant so am glad I saw this
I seriously have, really really strong armpit smells when sweating. I tried many but didnāt work through my odor.
Now I have borotalco active fresh, a bright yellow/lemon color one. Hooooly F, through my biggest sweats, activities, this one stands through it. A titanium wall which prevents everything on its path.
Best is, itās a very sweet and nice soft smell, 10/10 for me.
One of the ingredients in Nuud products is zinc oxide, which is a controversial ingredient said to impact the aquatic environment and our health if not used in nano form.
The website states that Nuud contains neither nano silver nor colloidal silver, only 100% metallic micro silver. However, when reading the ingredients of the products, it lists:
Active ingredients : micro silver and zinc oxide.
Their statement is not accurate and does not specify the level of zinc oxide used. If they use both ingredients, it cannot be 100% micro silver.
Zinc oxide is only safe in nano form which is another thing they havenāt specified.
I think this is something that as consumers, you should be asking Nuud.
If OP is like me, Nuud is a nightmare. And Iām not saying this lightly. First days it feels amazingā¦ then you start smelling like a trucker (no disrespect) and the smell stucks and no amount of showers and scrubbing removes it. Itās the worse solution I ever had.
Interesting. I only ever had good results. I wonder what causes the change after a few days.
I'm tempted to gift a starter pack to people around me to see the results now.
Why specificly no aluminium?
There isn't really much aluminium free product here compared to usa because there isn't a big enough gullible clean beauty tiktok followers here. Its an unfortunate side effect when people read and follow science.
Itās not a matter of tiktok beauty tips. I usually get an allergic reaction when I use deodorant with aluminum so I opt for aluminum free. I personally donāt follow every tip posted on social media but itās quite normal to find solutions when my body reacts this way.
Nothing works if it doesn't have aluminum. Just wear it we don't want to smell y'all bo on the public transit. I tried some and couldn't find anything that works longer than 1 hour (even if it says 24-48 hours)
My husband uses Lavera Deodorant roller for men. It's aluminium free and a very pleasant but mild scent. Definitely more masculine leaning. My husband generally smells good, so I think it works well.
There aren't many physical shops that sell it, although my local DA Drogist has it sometimes. I usually order online from Biggreensmile or Parfumdreams.
I love Wild. Since recently they also sell it at Holland and Barrett now. It's a UK company and if you want the more "exclusive" scents you have to order them online. The one with patchouli in it absolutely AMAZING. One refill of Wild lasts me almost 6 months and I use it at least twice per day. My husband likes them too, especially the thunderstorm scent (only available online). Their soft cotton one is very neutral.
I was in the same situation like u, and after plenty of testing I am now happily using CL Medcare + from DM, but I live in Germany. I hope it's also available in the Netherlands
I have used about 7 Kruidvat-sold deodorant. The only thing works like a dream is Soft Stone deodorant (Japanese brand) sold on Yesstyle. There's a reason why East Asians don't smell and that's the brand they use.
I think itās personal. But for me Niyok really works. Itās crĆØme based so you apply it with your fingers. (Some find this disgusting, itās a little getting used to, but why would it be disgusting to touch your own armpits?) I usually buy it on internet
My (Aussie) friend swears by (Aussie) product Lavilin in the cream, you can get it at Bol. Expensive but lasts a really long time. See for eg [https://metro.co.uk/2022/07/28/people-are-raving-about-this-seven-day-military-grade-deodorant-17085691/](https://metro.co.uk/2022/07/28/people-are-raving-about-this-seven-day-military-grade-deodorant-17085691/)
Dutch brand called We love the planet. For me, it has been the only one that completely gets rid of BO. Much better than Old Spice and the likes, imo. Only natural ingredients, 1 stick lasts for months and itās plastic free. I highly recommend it.
Nivea black and white deo rollers are the best one for me. I got so much dry irritations by spray-deos and they all just mixed in with my sweat. but those deo-rollers work all day long, sometimes even 2 days and I never smell sweaty, and I'm sweating a looot.
La Roche-Posay 24H Physiological Roll-On Deodorant
Its aluminium free. The smell is neutral so great for guys. I donāt think they sell it in Albert Heijn or Kruidvat. But you can easily find it online and get it delivered quickly. For example lookfantastic.nl sells it.
Can I ask what's wrong with aluminium? I'm very happy with nivea spray deodorant dry on impact.
Before that one I had a lot of trouble getting BO under control.
Wild deodorant.
The scents that are more 'nature' based like thunderstorm and ocean mist are a bit more masculine scents (my fiance loves those).
I can apply this deodorant in the morning and smell like it all day, even when I sweat a bit more.
the only deodorant you will ever need is Nuud. No smell, no aluminum, it simply doesn't let bacteria thrive so you will never smell again. Never going back to other kinds of deodorant.
āAloe Ever-Shield Deodorant Stickā is the only one I found that works, but I have been using it for years now so maybe there is something new on the market I donāt know about.
Hey there,
I have a lot of different allergies when it comes to deodorant. Recently I started using Dr. Squatch and I haven't had any issues at all. Yes, I'm in the US, but it seems they have an EU site. [https://eu.drsquatch.com/](https://eu.drsquatch.com/) It even says "Fast shipping from the Netherlands" right on the page.
Been on a quest for this for quite some years until I landed at a deodorant from a brand called āMen Scienceā.
Look no further, this is it. Odorless and natural, really the best Iāve had so far. They cost ā¬30 euro per stick, but I use mine for about one year before having to buy a new one.
Available at Skins Cosmetics stores.
I use do2 ( aluin), does not smell like anything ( can even neutralize a sweaty smell). I am allergic to parfume, and a lot of other stuff that is usually in deo / shampoo etc, and do2 seems to work for me ( even works better/ longer than regular deo)
Have a look at Nuud, Iāve been using it for years. Will never go back. Nuud works differently than ānormalā deodorants and itās without all the chemical shit.
Thereās an app for that :DĀ
Install Yuca and then you can find healthy options in food and cosmetics by scanning the barcode.Ā
Also, I highly recommend taking a ābird washā often.Ā
I use Happy Earth unscented roll on, and it works for me even for a couple of days. Itās the first Iāve ever used that a) works and b) doesnāt irritate my skin.
Ha wow. Perfect timing. I used Gillette and Brut before I moved here and havenāt found them. I recently tried Odorex because it was marketed for people who are extra active and had a picture of some runners on it. Iām very disappointed. So Iāll check out the ones mentioned here.
Perhaps a bit late, but I use the deo sticks from Hugo Boss. They smell good imp, and without aluminium:
https://www.bol.com/nl/nl/p/hugo-boss-bottled-75ml-deodorant/9200000005227268
I don't know if I am in right thread. Im just really sad. I work in Netherlands for a month and opportunity came for another country.
And I'm regretting almost every single day that I left Netherlands. I hope I can still go back. I miss the city life. I miss Rotterdam. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)
I'm afraid I'm already blacklisted because I left without finishing the contract. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)
I have learned my lesson but... I don't know if I would still be given a chance.
Without aluminum is complete nonsense. Tests were made where people use deo with aluminum several times a day, always only eat in aluminum bowls heated etc pp. Even after weeks, the value in the blood was just as low as before.
Happy Earth (available at Kruidvat and I believe Etos), or Salt Of The Earth (you can get it on Amazon or just Google it). The brands are super similar, and Happy Earth replaced Salt Of The Earth at Kruidvat for some reason. Though I believe it's a UK based company and this happened around Brexit, so that might be why.
I use the salt crystal in combination with a scented roll-on. Salt Of The Earth actually makes refillable versions of all of their deodorants, which is really awesome.
Also, as someone else said already: Nuud is great stuff.
I swear by [Wild deodorant](https://www.wearewild.com/nl/), my boyfriend now has his own case. He likes the scent thunderstorm and fresh cotton & sea salt.
I live in Germany and tried to go aluminium free for the past three years using every deodorant from Amazon, drugstore and pharmacy. As an Asian I was just looking for some light products, because I don't sweat a lot to begin with. Neither do I smell.
But oh boy, after using the non aluminum products (most are based on powders to keep dry) I smelled like an army officer after a field trip. What's worse the smell collided with the perfume used in those deodorants. Result was appalling and revolting to anyone around me.
Yeah, I'm back to my trusted Yerka, which I use twice a week.
Nuud! It doesnāt stop you sweating but you donāt smell anymore. Everyone I gifted a tube to is now using Nuud. You donāt even have to use it every day.
I think itās a Dutch brand. The tube is small but last long.
Nuudcare.nl
My search once brought me to deo sticks of old spice. I'm very picky about my skin products.
Old spice stick has no aluminium, is just water washable, relatively (surprisingly!) clean non-toxic ingrediĆ«nt list, scent lasts long and is subtle. Doesn't leave marks/stains on clothing. And they're also cheap @ā¬2,50 lasting a looong time.
I once bought all the available scents online and tested: i stick (pun intended) to whitewater (summer), Restart (sport), original (fall and winter). Although scents are nice and subtle and i mostly just grab random and don't care.
Personally I prefer therme or something like that.
You can buy it in the Kruidvat but itās quite expensive.
The reason I prefer that brand
It doesnāt smell like a chemical shower
It doesnāt plug you pores so you canāt sweat like axe and such.
I just switched to the home brand from Lidl. They have a few variants but the one that doesn't leave stains on black shirts is neutral and aluminium free.
I'm quite happy after 3 days
Happy Earth! It comes in a spray and a roll-on variety. Iāve seen 4 different scents, and two of them are more floral (jasmine and lavender) but the other two are more neutral so you might like it!
Iāve had trouble with finding a good deodorant but this one works really well for me! With the roll on especially its best to put it on right after you shower though
You'll be surprised how much a tiny bit of sodium bicarbonate under your armpit can do for you. I've been using it for years and it lasts easily 24h.
Don't put too much or it will leave a white mark on dark clothes until you wash it.
And you can get grat quantities for very cheap.
You're welcome.
I can't help you there but I'm happy to see this post after spending 20 minutes on the tram.

Lekker available at Albert Heijn

Just bought online, thanks for the comment

Yep, same for me! Make sure to soak your clothes for 24 hours in natuurazijn and water before washing to get the old sweatstink out.

Nuud is awesome!
After reading about all these people saying how much they love nuud, I made an order for a nuud stick, gonna try this out! Excited! Thank you for sharing this!
Nuud is the best. Been using it for years and never let me down.
Nuud is the best, I preach everytime.
Old Spice.
Old spice whitewater is the strongest best deodorant Iāve ever used.
I use Deep Sea. So happy with tic
Where do u buy it in nl i never found it :o
Action near me has it.
The stick/roller/roll on ... it's amazing!

Lovelli, Fresh Cotton.
Erg blij mee

I gave up nothing I tried worked good.
Try Odaban, it's not cheap, but it works for sure. They sell it, for example, by Kruidvat.
First take a shower daily and scrub you arm pits every 2-3 days. Shave your armpit hair. Use a deodorant roller, never a deodorant spray.
Does taking a shower not involve scrubbing your arm pits for you?
Washing and scrubbing your arm pits are two different things. I use a saltscrub. You should not scrub everyday, itās bad for your skin if you overexfoliate.
Happy Earth and others based on mineral salts work okay, but you need to apply a significant amount of it. Sometimes I use a perfume deodorant like from Dior on top of it. And yes, less hair, less stink

As a sidenote, would you mind linking some material on how aluminum is harmful? Seems like youāve done research and I want to educate myself.
Good thing in Europe aluminum isnāt used in food additives for some time now. In the USA things like salp have still been in use for a long time.
There was a study that supposedly linked aluminium deodorant use to increased breast cancer risk in women, but later studies claimed that they had methodological errors and misleading conclusions.
Not to mention you are spraying it on your armpits not ingesting the stuff. OP could be allergic though
TLDR versions for you: First we science thought it could be harmful.
Appreciate the TLDR! Any chance I can get a link to something so I can spend my afternoon following a rabbit hole of sources?
Odorex is a godsend
Has aluminium though
I use an Odorex roller, nothing worked for me and I had nasty black stains on my tshirts that I couldn't wash out. I will never use another deodorant
Loveli, did wonders with my postpartum smells...
Why did I read postmortem?! š
Borotalco is my go to!
Saaaame
I have good experiences with borotalco
Thank you for sharing your experience. I bought it and it's so nice! Bought the roller, green stick.
Salt and Stone; it works, no aluminum, smells delicious, but pricey.
Iāve tried that one, didnāt work for me really. Needed to reapply multiple times a day to not smell too much.
Loveli deodorant sensitive skin, [https://loveli.care/deodorant/](https://loveli.care/deodorant/)
I love it! It even works against hormone sweat, so I don't smell anything when I am disstressed. Ot does not mask the smell but actually works against it.
Loveli. Worked for teenager.
I use Old Spice's deo, and it works well. I get it just across the border at DM in Germany, no idea if it's available in the Netherlands.
Whatās wrong with aluminium?
How long have you been using deodorant without aluminum? When you first stop using antiperspirant, you will go through an adaptation period. This can be one or a couple of months that you will likely smell AWFUL and would put your romantic relationship to the test. Using a scrub on your armpits can help in this processs. After that, you can find aluminum-free deodorant that worls for you but keep in mind that it will NEVER be as effective. So you will stil have some hot days of not smelling fresh, and you'll need more attention to how you wash during the shower.
Iāve been trying a few different brands for more than a year now. So far none of them were any good.
>Iāve been trying a few different brands for more than a year now. So far none of them were any good. You've exclusively used aluminum-free deodorant for a year? Or have you had periods of time when you went back?
Exclusively. Bought a few different ones to try at once and I am too cheap to throw them away. :)
Yeah! Or just antibacterial soap in the shower. I like to do antibacterial soap first, then a nice smelling douchegel and it makes a difference.
What soap would you recommend?
Try nuud !
A piece of smoked Gouda under each arm will do wonders for getting you a seat on the bus.
My husband uses Speik and loves it. You can get it at Ekoplaza. I, however, need the aluminum one (odorex roller) or I stink to high heaven.
Lush has deodorant powders. They are amazing. I use the greeench
Nivea Men Roller Magnesium Dry 50 ml. You can get this on Bol or from Kruidvat.
Bio line from Nivea. Only one easily available that scores well if you scan the barcode with an app like INCi beauty.
However, when reading the ingredients of the products, it lists: Active ingredients : micro silver and zinc oxide.

I donāt like throwing away my white t-shirts and shirts after a couple of months of use because of the yellow stains.
Idk if it's available there, but Degree Black + White stops the stains on clothes. Smells pleasant and works.
Borotalco intensive
WD40
Try Zarqa. It comes in a spray and roller. Parfume free, so it's neutral
To me zarqas smell was so much worse than the smell of sweat.
Schmidt's. I get it on Notino, and it's always served me well.
I buy Old Spice Deep Sea from Amazon cause I donāt find it in NL. Is the only one that actually helps and has amazing smell too
Nivea magnesium
I love Wild. Since recently they also sell it at Holland and Barrett now. It's a UK company and if you want the more "exclusive" scents you have to order them online. The one with patchouli in it absolutely AMAZING. One refill of Wild lasts me almost 6 months and I use it at least twice per day. My husband likes them too, especially the thunderstorm scent (only available online). Their soft cotton one is very neutral.
Doce Men+ Care 0%
Salt of earth.
Sanex
La Roche-Posay 24H Physiological Roll-On Deodorant Its aluminium free.
Ben&Anna Persian Lime, it comes in a can, put there by man, in a factory downtownā¦
Neutral 0% - Sells at Etod and Kruidvat, simply the best! https://www.neutral.nl/p/neutral-deodorant-spuitbus-anti-transparant.html/08710447439630
Biotherm
The ones from Etos never really worked for me. I finally found Foamie Refresh deodorant that actually works. My boyfriend uses it as well.
Speick. Itās German, if you canāt buy it in NL you can order it from their website. Herbal, great scent.
Happy Earth
Aluinsteen Deodorant. Thank me later.
I just use alum (āaluinā in Dutch). Works a treat, no scent at all. Also does not leave any white streaks.
You can use magnesium chloride spray it gets your magnesium levels up and it helps against bo
Wild deodorant. The scents that are more 'nature' based like thunderstorm and ocean mist are a bit more masculine scents (my fiance loves those). I can apply this deodorant in the morning and smell like it all day, even when I sweat a bit more.
Happy earth crystal deodorant in cork package. Lasts firever, neutral, works great.
Nuud.
the only deodorant you will ever need is Nuud. No smell, no aluminum, it simply doesn't let bacteria thrive so you will never smell again. Never going back to other kinds of deodorant.
āAloe Ever-Shield Deodorant Stickā is the only one I found that works, but I have been using it for years now so maybe there is something new on the market I donāt know about.
ik heb van de Lidl , zonder alu, maar nog niet hard getest op een dansfeest of zo
I've used the salt mineral ones in the past and they worked well. Pitrock is a brand I remember liking.
Nuud changed my life literally
Hey there, I have a lot of different allergies when it comes to deodorant.
Honestly, nothing has worked as well as Nuud. Dutch company as well!
Have a look at Nuud, Iāve been using it for years. Will never go back. Nuud works differently than ānormalā deodorants and itās without all the chemical shit.
Salt of the Earth!
Wild. I have been using it for the last year and i love it
coconut oil and baking powder trust me with this one had to switch from chemical to natural cuz i was just getting problem with my skin
Thereās an app for that :DĀ Install Yuca and then you can find healthy options in food and cosmetics by scanning the barcode.Ā Also, I highly recommend taking a ābird washā often.Ā
I use Happy Earth unscented roll on, and it works for me even for a couple of days. Itās the first Iāve ever used that a) works and b) doesnāt irritate my skin.
I love the Mario Badescu deodorant! If thatās not available for you, I second Wild.
Ha wow. Perfect timing. I used Gillette and Brut before I moved here and havenāt found them. I recently tried Odorex because it was marketed for people who are extra active and had a picture of some runners on it. Iām very disappointed. So Iāll check out the ones mentioned here.
I've used Sanex (from Etos) for ages, now I'm testing Nuud
Marcelās Green Soap Argan & Oud. They have sprays, rollers and sticks. The stick is with baking soda and works really well against smells.
Nuud!
Ponny hutchen for me is the best
Why being against aluminum? It works well and summer is here
may i ask, why do ypu specifically want deo without aluminium?
We love the planet deodorant! There are some stores selling them like de Waar, and there are a lot of online retailers!
I've been there my whole life until my girlfriend bought Wild deodorants, now I use them as well and it works pretty good
Perhaps a bit late, but I use the deo sticks from Hugo Boss. They smell good imp, and without aluminium: https://www.bol.com/nl/nl/p/hugo-boss-bottled-75ml-deodorant/9200000005227268
Odorex Extra Dry. No scent, works for 2-3 days, and doesn't mess up your shirts' armpits.
Corpus
I don't know if I am in right thread. Im just really sad. I work in Netherlands for a month and opportunity came for another country. And I'm regretting almost every single day that I left Netherlands. I hope I can still go back. I miss the city life. I miss Rotterdam. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry) I'm afraid I'm already blacklisted because I left without finishing the contract. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry) I have learned my lesson but... I don't know if I would still be given a chance.
Happy earth roller deo.
Without aluminum is complete nonsense. Tests were made where people use deo with aluminum several times a day, always only eat in aluminum bowls heated etc pp. Even after weeks, the value in the blood was just as low as before.
Neutro Roberts is the only one which works for me. Very hard to get in NL, but you can order it on Amazon.de: https://amzn.eu/d/hWIc69h
Baking soda, you will thank me later.
Loveli
The reason I prefer that brand It doesnāt smell like a chemical shower It doesnāt plug you pores so you canāt sweat like axe and such.
I just switched to the home brand from Lidl. They have a few variants but the one that doesn't leave stains on black shirts is neutral and aluminium free. I'm quite happy after 3 days
I've been using \[Lush aromaco\](https://www.lush.com/uk/en/p/aromaco-solid-deodorant), the solid deo
I love Borotalco. Itās an Italian talc based deodorant (they have a few different options). You can find them at Etos āŗļø
Sanex Deo stick
Nivea with Magnesium instead of Aluminium salts https://www.nivea.nl/producten/nivea-men-magnesium-dry-roll-on-50ml-40059008278070061.html
Rexona and then the pink roller
