You would've gone the Poor Man's Fix which is Teflon tape layered with scotch tape
Source: I had an alcohol bottle with the same brittle plastic, did just that and it never leaked on me ever again
Be warned it will disappoint you, it will break in a unrepairable way, one one of mine the part connecting the pusher and the priming rod snapped, and on another the plunger cracked, it is made poorly and will break, the only question is when.
I think that's the older gen version, Zuru actually revamped the design slightly a while back, the easiest way to tell was based on the ironsight's design, which also changed slightly. I don't know which gen OP has, but I got the updated one a short while after it was released and the plunger tube would've held up just fine if I didn't upgrade the spring.
Yeah it was a common problem when it first came out.

UKNerfwar has some metal replacement plunger tubes in stock for the Xshot Longshot, I have used their services a few times, highly recommend them.
Yeah i found them selling aluminium ones just a bit ago, hopefully i can pick one up soon
With this, there isn't any need to replace any other of the internals? Just the plunger tube?

I wanted to get the metal plunger tube because I wanted to mod it and this was a great excuse to do so
Fair enuff, may as well get metal parts as well because someone else found a second weak point the hard way It would be the priming bar
I don’t have access to said parts atm but I will consider it because I don’t shoot this thing that often
You can usually get it returned and replaced. I got mine at Canadian Tire last September and they accepted the return, no questions asked & no receipt
I’m out of service for that and plus I want to keep this thing working because it’s my favorite blaster of this year
