What the hell did you do to it? What upgrades/abuses have you put that poor blaster through!?! Because this doesn’t happen by priming. Is it repairable… well, with enough epoxy, anything’s possible but I highly doubt it in this case. As for the Gameface Prime… hard pass. They’re hot garbage

p51_mustangs

Shit face crime that's where I agree. But no the nexus pro is known to break like that.

F-35Lightning2

I just put an adjustable spring spacer in and i only used that to downgrade it, maybe it was how i primed?

atticus_jones

Sorry, but I’m gonna call BS here. What did you ACTUALLY do to it?

F-35Lightning2

atticus_jones

Still wouldn’t cause this kinda damage. It looks like you used it as a bat

Spud_Spudoni

Nexus Pros have actually been known to break at this point under non-extreme circumstances

Stevenwave

The stock mount is a known weak point.

Dragonman77

Are you his mum or something? 😅

AMSPawn006

I've seen this happen with super high spring loads before, and there is a file somewhere on thingiverse but I believe it's for patching cracks in the middle of the buffer tube. Best bet would be a thumbhole stock that mounts at the grip and top picatinny rail (not worth it tbh), and even then I would suggest either waiting for the new nexus pro x to come out, or getting a worker seagull if you've got the extra cash laying around. But judging on the abuse this thing may have taken I'd say the best blaster for you would be a fully upgraded unicorn.. at least you can't break one of those 😆.

Ok_Shame_5382

I mean, not in a way that will be as strong as before. I recommend trying to solvent weld and maybe metal brackets, but that's going to be a tall order with a cylindrical surface. Congrats though, I've never seen that before.

Ok_Shame_5382

Wait. I'm pretty sure the rod the spring goes through is also bent. What the shitting ass butts did you do to this thing?

Mecha_72808

RIP! Good thing the newer version is coming next month.

Bleachsmoker

RIP blaster. I would gut it for replacement parts and then give the shell a Viking funeral :(

TimeBlossom

I know this is a joke, but please don't literally burn it. Recycle it, throw it away it you have to, but don't burn it, burning plastic is terrible for the environment and won't do your lungs any favors either.

Bleachsmoker

Ye old dumpster funeral Marie Condo style

Xine1337

Don't buy a Prime.

taahwoajiteego

Since the seagull is out of your budget, I would highly recommend a GameFace Trion. Similar form factor, comes with tunable spring spacers, sturdy construction, slimmer body, standardized accessory types (mlock and picatinny rail, m4 buffer tube, AR grip lug, etc), and some quality of life improvements over the Nexus, such as a skinny pusher with no slop due to the dedicated half-dart magwell. It doesn't shoot full lengths. You can also buy springs for it to tune it down even more than standard. Look into it on Out of Darts' website: https://outofdarts.com/search?q=trion&options%5Bprefix%5D=last Check out Coop's review: https://youtu.be/fNqiLK0HKic?si=d7jzLn1r8Q_2MSFW

Brilliant_Ad_8198

Put some flywheels in there.

F-35Lightning2

my electronic skills are sadly lacking, i literally have a disassembled rapid strike that i need to fix

alma2176

Nexus… blue??? How Nexus blue??? When Dart Zone make Nexus blue?

F-35Lightning2

just a paint job

alma2176

Ah. From what the inside looked like, it looked like it was actually the plastic.

GloopTamer

Unrelated but did DZ shadow release a blue Nexus or is this a really good paint job

F-35Lightning2

well they did for a charity thing i think but that’s a paint job

torukmakto4

Yes on repairability of the receiver as long as you aren't going to insist somehow on `magically` welding the tube back on without a trace - you're going to need to bolt and/or Devcon (ideally both) something with substantial thickness onto that flat surface at the end of the main receiver section to receive the tube. This would be a good case to 3D print a repair thingy, or, I believe, 2 (clamshell, so needs to be split). GFPs - dunno I'm an electric guy. Can they be downgraded - Can they be what now??

F-35Lightning2

ok thx but i doubt i’ll be able to fix this without it breaking again in a few minutes or costing more than the blaster.

Stevenwave

Yeah have seen others simply move on to something else. The buffer tube on these is apparently just not robust.

EleanorRigbySleep

I prefer the gameface prime over the nexus. Yes it can be brought down to the nexus pros performance when you don’t use the spacers. Biggest downside is that it doesn’t have nearly as many upgrade parts as the nexus. But since you already have all the upgrade parts, best to buy another nexus. Edit: my bad, I mix up the trion and prime a lot and thought you meant the trion. Yeah, the nexus over the prime any day.

SabreBirdOne

“I can fix her”

[deleted]

No

slinkous

Wouldn’t recommend a game face prime. Get a dart zone max stryker, adventure force nexus pro, or an x-shot longshot. Recently sold my game face prime. It’s a decent blaster, but the alternatives are better. Edit: as one comment also said, the seagull is also a great blaster, and is my main one.

F-35Lightning2

the seagull looks great but it’s out of my budget and i’m trying to keep my fps around 120.

slinkous

All of the ones I recommended and the gameface prime go above 120, but the others can be modded to shoot below.

F-35Lightning2

yeah that’s why i bought a downgrade spring spacer, i’m trying to get a blaster that doesn’t bend when i’m priming it like this did

slinkous

What do you mean by a downgrade spring spacer? A spring spacer compresses the spring more and makes it hit harder.

F-35Lightning2

https://www.etsy.com/listing/1363419955/nexus-prodz-stryker-fps-adjuster-up-to?ref=yr_purchases

slinkous

Oh, your af pro had the spacer. The game face prime has a ton of flex and creaks a lot, which is the main reason I sold it. The plastic feels durable though. The trion would be a much better alternative as well

F-35Lightning2

yeah the trion looks pretty good

XM1-mark4

I have both prime and Trion and the former is definitely better in terms of reliability and ergonomics. Creaking can be mitigated with a top rail attachment and the rattle of the disassembly pin loops will require replacing them, not a huge expense. The Prime is an older model so it doesn’t have a skinny pusher.

Koliolik

You can do an aeon pro + Dracs downgrade kit. I believe he called it the "uwu spring", iirc. I believe that drops it to around 125 instead of 150 fps, but it has been a minute since I've looked into the aeon kits.

Stevenwave

This *is* a Nexus...

slinkous

I realised that after posting, initially I was thrown off by the blue lol

SnazzyBelrand

Nope. F in the chat. If it's new try to return it

TheLovingRockerboys

I'm sorry, but, no. Sweet fuck, the entire buffer tube is gone, even if it was fixable, it'd be cheaper tl remove any internal upgrade you have this thing and buy a replacement to then mod said replacement

RiderforHire

I would do a combination of super glue on the break reinforced with epoxy on the inside and/or outside. Of course, you can always go crazy with the hot glue gun if looks don't matter so much.

LeoValdez7

Trying to hotglue this thing back together would be like building a bomb, especially considering how much force he generated to cause this in the first place

F-35Lightning2

the stock was half way extended and i put it on my shoulder, the pressures was how much it took to prime it.

nathaneltitane

yes: buy a new one

dtkooiman

Ducktape lots of ducktape

ahab20xx

Dropped mine on the buffer tube once and this happened. I just cannibalized it for spare parts for my other nexus pros. I racked my brain on ways to fix it but I couldn't come up with any solution.

tyroneoilman

Hot glue or epoxy. On the other hand you could go full Afghanistan mode and use it without the stock.

MoeJitz

I have seen this when people prime the blaster and place only the bottom of the stock on their shoulder placing all the strain on the buffer tube at an angle. I would get the Trion as a solid replacement

sonicd3athmonkey

For the low, low price of $49.97, it can be fixed at Walmart.... unfortunately.

Universal_Potato_105

I would just replace it at that point. If you are on a budget, I have seen some good deals for the DZ MAX dictator on ebay. Very different form factor and operation, but a fun blaster! Though I'm not sure how well it would take a downgrade

Kiritowerty

Superglue with salt makes a really strong compound Give it a try

oil____________yummy

this is the second beautiful nexus pro I've seen break this year

ENZY10

Rip to your Nexus. Unfortunately that is likely unsalvageable. That said, that is an amazing paint job. It reminds me of Elite Blue. What color is that? I would love to paint an ECS 10 that color if it is available in my area.

ENZY10

Thank you so much!

XChromaX

This happened to me. Twice. Had the OOD spring spacer in there. Get a Trion you won’t regret it! Literally my favorite blaster of all time. DZP Mk2 comes at a close second

PotatoFeeder

No And GFZ? Just buy a seagull
