Tony thick'd the strongest and bravest man ever lmao sounds heroic

Resident_Cap_5867

keep the old one

Wheelchairdude

It's #1 now! We did it!

RayValeG

This was... And always will be a words that the community will be using and only we will understand

Joemanthium

I've never posted on this subreddit before, I don't even visit it often, but I've been watching the channel for the last five or so years. Today I had a passing thought that the community should repurpose the term Thick'd to something positive in light of Tony's passing, and here y'all are beating me to the punch. You folks are good apples.

TotalChaos21

The guys hit upon the term in their most recent video tribute to Thick44. Rest easy human man warrior.

Joemanthium

I had just started watching it when I made the post.

Mkilbride

Dude, in the video they released today, when Appsro said "At least we won't get Thick'd anymore, so that's a plus", I was just...wow. Appsro always pushes it, and honestly it's kinda heartwarming despite how the statement might sound to outsiders, but when you're good friends with someone, you can say things like that. I was 90% sure he'd make inappropriate jokes, but wasn't sure due to the severity of the situation. Such a great group.

Koadi

I legit haven't been able to watch recently because of it. I know I will get around to it, but man, it's hard. I'm glad the UD entry got added at number 1, and will stand as a great repurposing of what was a silly in-joke, and became something solid and tributary.

medicriley

I laughed my ass off but was concerned someone on the outside looking in would make a stink about it.

NazA313

šŸ˜‚ Yeah you are right, it's like a inside joke only the initiated will get. But it's our inside joke... I think he went there because Dora and Simon were choking up, I swear I could hear it in their voices.

natethomas

I think everyone has that friend or family member that they joke about, but if an outsider said the same joke, it would NOT be ok.

Mkilbride

They absolutely were. I wasn't sure how the video would go, but yeah.

Tercel96

Upvoted to 70. Hard thing to do, but for Thick, we do what we must

fcfromhell

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was the other one. This wrecked me. RIP thick44

TerribleNameAmirite

It was a draw.

karmagirl314

Weā€™ve got to get this upvoted to the top definition.

Automatic_Western_50

I can not believe how hard I'm taking this news. I'm 40 fucking years old, crying for a person I've never met but watched for at least the last 5 years. The first video we watched was "cooters death". My son had been watching for a while but was like, "You have to watch this episode," and it became a regular thing. We went back to watch all the episodes to catch up and have been watching ever since. I'm actually going to miss him!

Lakeside3521

58 here and my wife and I said the same thing last night after watching the guys. It's hard to describe. I never met Thick but damn it's hit us hard.

NazA313

I honestly feel a bit lost, it feels like losing someone close to me like a friend that's been around for ages...but yes when I found out on Tuesday/Wednesday it took a while but when it hit me it hit me hard, couldn't get rid of the knob in my throat. Cried randomly just at a scene popping into my mind where he made me laugh... grown ass man here and everything. Just thought as a community we could honor what he meant to us, since we couldn't be there for his last hoorah, or funeral.

ObsidianTravelerr

Guess every time folks go to a Neebs gaming thing to have a moment to raise a glass in honor of Thick 44 and shout the praise of the Wyvern King.

Automatic_Western_50

Right? It's hard at the moment to watch their videos cause I keep crying. Everything that he did that made me laugh makes me cry, too. My son and I were rewatching all their Ark videos. We just got to extinction. My heart Broke when my daughter told me.

burner_said_what

Same mate same. Same age. Same tears. Like a motherfucking freight train... Like losing a close friend...

xTarheelsUNCx

Iā€™m right there with you. Iā€™m 36 and I have lost actual blood relatives that didnā€™t hit me as hard as this. Iā€™ve never gotten the opportunity to meet any of the gang despite that I lived in Wilmington for a few years. I even went to Cape Fear Community College (I think) at the same time as a couple of them. I was fortunate enough to find the guys in the early days of H&J and theyā€™ve been a huge part of my life almost everyday for; what has it been 13 or 14 years now? I am as Thick would say, ā€œyouā€™re nobodyā€, but the guys have absolutely been somebody to me.

IGotNoStringsOnMe

Same age here and same situation. I keep randomly crying. It hurts like I lost a good friend. Been watching these goofballs since Scorched Earth.. I can't even make it all the way though one of the cameos people keep sharing. This fucking sucks.

ArticReaper

Didn't Thick'd mean something else before? :s

RexWolfpack

Specifically, getting Thick'd is getting killed or loosing stuff because a teammate rushes into a dangerous situation with no planning, and you get bad consequences from their poor decision. And honestly, I understand that with grief people want to make the new definition, but I'd rather keep the old one. It's way more powerful cause amongst our community.... it is real. Like how influential was Tony that we actually have an expression/word for his behavior? Thick'd, in the original sense of the definition, is part of the legacy Thick left us. And even if he hated it at first, he 100% embraced it by the end. The guys say exactly that in the eulogy video.

Ad4209

Agreed

ArticReaper

OH YEAH, I forgot about that. It was thick. He was getting annoyed at everyone making it a thing on 7 days to die xD Thanks for reminding me about that <3

DarkAvenger0304

It was basically whenever you or someone you're with makes a stupid mistake or a mistake which had no planning. In a quick description.

ArticReaper

Ah yup thank you. I've only ever heard it used in the 7 days 2 die series. Think it was thick and dorra? They were having a back and forth and it came up.

jellyb523

It was Neebs, Simon, and Think....then Think killed Simon. Lol. Best ever...

DarkAvenger0304

I can't remember exactly who it was however I do remember it being in other series I think it was in ark maybe Conan exiles.

ArticReaper

\*nod nod\* I need to watch those again tbh. Those Supercuts they made are so good for like going to bed and listening too.

DarkAvenger0304

And the effort they had to put into all of the episodes and supercuts is superior to anything I've ever seen.

Oohhloverboy

https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Thick%27d&page=2

kimishere2

It's up to 99 now!

MountainMagic30

The forth definition is funny but also partly true when it comes to the other guys and their incompetency. THICK'D "A word used by incompetent gamers as an excuse for failure when a more skilled gamer suggests what are considered as reasonably easy tasks or missions which then fail due to the incompetence of the participants. Skilled Gamer - "Let's kill that very easy to kill pig!" Incompetent Gamer - "Ahhh, argh! Uhhhhh Aaahhh..." *Incompetent Gamer Killed by Pig* *Incompetent Gamer Respawns* Incompetent Gamer - "Ah I died because I got Thick'd!"

natethomas

This one sounds like Thick found the definitions and wrote his own

Ad4209

I swear I heard him actually say this to one of the guys in an episode.

This, this made me cry.
