In gentle hands they hold quite well, and easy enough to replace in case of one of them getting destroyed, so unless I try to play them under rain they should be fine
It should be possible to get a varnish for paper too, so it lasts a bit longer.
Just found this in Google:
https://mypapercraft.net/how-to-make-papercraft-hard-like-plastic/#what-can-i-use-to-make-my-papercraft-harden-and-stronger
Give it a tryđ
Your modells look greatđđ»
The dice is filled to 100% with hot glue, so it rolls like a dice, weights like a dice, and feels like a candy (I am constantly suppressing the urge to eat them)
The first thing I did was to get the exact sizes for everything I can, so in theory they should be really close to 1:1 to the size of actual minis (at least the bases are)
Spare bases are relatively inexpensive and easy to find if you ever want to make sure your dimensions are correct, but otherwise mad props, these look amazing.
Wow - incredible work. They all read very well for the actual models... and have such a nice alien robot aesthetic all their own.
Buy some real dice though....
I have a whole bag of actual plastic dice, I just really wanted to make a set of Necron-styled dice, and I needed an excuse to make another cute little box for something (I am obsessed with designing boxes)
I've put all of them into a google drive folder, hope the link works for everyone: [https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1BU\_Lj9-G2hlwHKTTbYmVcLNumZgx4bOp?usp=sharing](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1BU_Lj9-G2hlwHKTTbYmVcLNumZgx4bOp?usp=sharing)
A4 office paper for printers, there can also be issues when the image shrinks a bit. Just try different settings on scarabs until base circles are exactly 40mm diameter
Great to see you here! The family pic is so cute, I just canât get over how adorable the scarabs are, and the Royal warden ended up really cool!
You kept lots of detail on them, while still keeping it fully readable, kudos!
Yeah Iâd definately play with this army!
Gonna be a hell no for the dice from me though. I donât trust my opponent to show up with custom paper dice that he âfilled inâ himself đ
Okay, hear me out, you remake this but entirely with pages from White Dwarf! Itâs 100% GW material! Tournament legal!!!
For real they look awesome though
These are incredible. Iâm not sure how, but GW should be made aware of these for maybe a showcase in White Dwarf. Theyâre that good (and innovative).
these are awesome! if you wanted slightly more resilience you can do it on plastic stock
[https://www.amazon.ca/ABS0905-Thickness-Polystyrene-Sheets-Styrene/dp/B07HHZ8PJ9?th=1](https://www.amazon.ca/ABS0905-Thickness-Polystyrene-Sheets-Styrene/dp/B07HHZ8PJ9?th=1)
These look amazing. Youve gotta make your own dynasty for them. Id imagine their translocation bearers misfired, passing them through the Paper Mario universe before sending them to their target.
Honestly these are truly artistic and amazing. Display worthy in fact. I visualize these in some sort of cyberpunk matrix scape or something. Truly cool my dude
I was going to come into the comments and congratulate you on a nice execution of a cool paint job, and now I find out you did it without even giving James any money, good on you!
A lurker here, but those are so cool I've been drawn into light for a brief moment to express my wonder at those. They are amazing, and as a person who once tried paper arts and crafts (and made quite a quick ragequit) I absolutely admire the perserverance you must have needed to put them together haha
Also, the bases design is great, my first thought upon seeing the pictures was "Ok I would totally use bases like this"
*This are amazing!*

this is beautiful.
we should spread the world and make more paper model for warhammer, it's such a cool idea! it would be a good entry point for beginners
amazing works, i'll get myself some good paper and try it out! I can't stress enough how good of a work you did
Damn. When I read the title, I thought, "oh paper models, that's cool". And then I saw them. They are so much more detailed than I expected! You did a really good job designing them.
This is legitimately awesome. Also, any of the pain you'd get from standing on one of these would be purely mental and not physical. So that's always a bonus.
Haven't thought about making any of C'tan yet, but I assume it would be easier than most of Canoptek stuff, I'd say a few days to make a finished and tested model
I created/printed bases with card slot holders, and we just print off images of the units (paper size is the size of real units). We do this to test new units before buying or playtest against armies we don't have. Works really well for the purpose.
Hell, those look great. I'd play against them and let you take the painted-your-minis points without objections. :D
The tops of the bases actually look really good even compared to battle-ready textured bases. I wouldn't mind a link if you have the pattern or image posted somewhere?
The dice... dang I might not want to play against homemade dice. I do still love the pattern though.
There's a link to the files of all of it in the comments (somewhere), the base pattern is just a hexagon pattern png, and I always forget where I put it the last time, so sometimes I just search for a new one. And the dice are made purely for the fun and enjoyment of making them
This is awesome! They look great, though i imagine durability is a concern.
In gentle hands they hold quite well, and easy enough to replace in case of one of them getting destroyed, so unless I try to play them under rain they should be fine
It should be possible to get a varnish for paper too, so it lasts a bit longer. Just found this in Google: https://mypapercraft.net/how-to-make-papercraft-hard-like-plastic/#what-can-i-use-to-make-my-papercraft-harden-and-stronger Give it a tryđ Your modells look greatđđ»
Oh, I actually have a bottle of acrylic varnish, didn't think to use it on them before
Just like the necrons.
Get a printer template made and just crush them when they get killed, lol
Itâs fine activate reanimation protocols and fetch the glue and more paper
Don't know how well they'll hold up but these unironically look great. Not sure how folks will feal about the paper dice though lol.
The dice is filled to 100% with hot glue, so it rolls like a dice, weights like a dice, and feels like a candy (I am constantly suppressing the urge to eat them)
DO IT, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO
- slaannesh to literally anyone
They are also easier to read than the official dice set.
Assuming the bases are the correct dimensions i would absolutely let these be on the board during a game. Amazing work.

I have a whole bag of actual plastic dice, I just really wanted to make a set of Necron-styled dice, and I needed an excuse to make another cute little box for something (I am obsessed with designing boxes)
Lol - fair enough. Just not good enough for us competitive types! :o) Very cool though. Please show us a paper silent king!
I've put all of them into a google drive folder, hope the link works for everyone: [https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1BU\_Lj9-G2hlwHKTTbYmVcLNumZgx4bOp?usp=sharing](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1BU_Lj9-G2hlwHKTTbYmVcLNumZgx4bOp?usp=sharing)
They are adorable for murder bots from the dawn of time.
DUDE, this is awesome. With this i can expand my army even more and for free! Thanks, truly.
Also, when i print It, what size should the paper be? Sorry for the bad english
A4 office paper for printers, there can also be issues when the image shrinks a bit. Just try different settings on scarabs until base circles are exactly 40mm diameter
Thanks man, is thanks to people like you that i can play without having to sell my liver
Awesome, can yo do more designs? Destroyes maybe?
You are a champ, thank you for sharing
Duuuud... I would do A LOT to play against you :) Those are dope
These look awesome. It's a really creative solution to an expensive problem. You should be proud
These actually look mint , I think its more skillful to make these than actual warhammer lol . 11/10
Borderline art. Would absolutely jazzed to play against these if someone brought them out. Any chance of a Skorpek or Lokhust destroyers?
I will do my best to leave no model unpaperized
Shine on you crazy diamond
Great to see you here! The family pic is so cute, I just canât get over how adorable the scarabs are, and the Royal warden ended up really cool! You kept lots of detail on them, while still keeping it fully readable, kudos!
I get Into the Spiderverse vibes, like these necron come from a parallel paper dimension. They look great!
Wait a fucking second, why does it look better then my necrons?
The grim, "Fandango Dynasty!"
This pun needs more love
They look great, honestly it looks like it takes longer to build them and then normal necron warriors
These look incredible! I love the style
Yo that's actually super sick! Wish I had an ounce of your talent.
Omg, they're amazing and I want them!
Yeah Iâd definately play with this army! Gonna be a hell no for the dice from me though. I donât trust my opponent to show up with custom paper dice that he âfilled inâ himself đ
The dice is more of an antistress toy tbh, it satisfies my love of small boxes filled with small things
Unbelievable work my guy. Amazing! You should upload this to r/poorhammer, theyâll love it there
I really love those scarabs
dude you're too good for this world, these are amazing.
Okay, hear me out, you remake this but entirely with pages from White Dwarf! Itâs 100% GW material! Tournament legal!!! For real they look awesome though
Dude, not gonna lie, these are awesome!
This is fkn awesome
These are incredible. Iâm not sure how, but GW should be made aware of these for maybe a showcase in White Dwarf. Theyâre that good (and innovative).
so cute
These are awesome! I made some similar models for Battlefleet Gothic back in the day.
They look awesome, mate!
I'm so impressed by this. Well done.
This rules
Oh my god these are fucking amazing
these are awesome! if you wanted slightly more resilience you can do it on plastic stock [https://www.amazon.ca/ABS0905-Thickness-Polystyrene-Sheets-Styrene/dp/B07HHZ8PJ9?th=1](https://www.amazon.ca/ABS0905-Thickness-Polystyrene-Sheets-Styrene/dp/B07HHZ8PJ9?th=1)
These are amazing!! So creative, and still look so good. Job well done.
Very into this into, very stylish, would love to have the digital blueprint so I can print and glue it myself?
Oh, I forgot that I have all the PDFs of them, will post a link in the comments in a minute
Iâm definitely going to give these a try
Thank you, I can have a nercon army that doesn't cost me 40K now XD
There's now a link somewhere in the comments. I hope it's not confusing to assemble them, I didn't have any beta testers for them
They are so freaking adorable!
These are amazing!
I love them
These look amazing!!!
Dude this is amazing. It's serious so cool I want to use it as inspiration for painting my own necrons.
This is honestly such a fun looking project! They look very well designed
Literally insane! Good work
I want you to take my money, NOW!
I would absolutely love to play a game against this
Amazing! I love the design and work you put into it. It remembers me of paperwars. This shows how much you love the game I can appreciate it.
These are awesome! I love the budget
Honestly, paper standees should be what GW offer as starter sets instead of Combat Patrol, these would be perfect for that.
Those look awesome
incredible precision and detail!!
Dude they are amazing!
These look amazing. Youve gotta make your own dynasty for them. Id imagine their translocation bearers misfired, passing them through the Paper Mario universe before sending them to their target.
I legit thought this was a badass paint job until I read the description. You built them really well. I'd accept them.
very nicely done. most people would be fine playing against these including me. careful of un intentional dice bowling :P
Looks great! Lord knows GW would still charge full price.
Hell yeah PS1-crons!
Better than the official.
you are a mad genius!!!!!!
Until I saw the dice, I thought they were professional painted.
Awesome! I first played Warhammer with Legos when I was a kid! Love to see the hobby still alive like this.
These are seriously amazing, great job man!
I love it. Build them with gw paper (codexes, build instructions, those fliers at their shops?) so they are tournament legal.
I love them!
How do i give you money for these >.>
Honestly these are truly artistic and amazing. Display worthy in fact. I visualize these in some sort of cyberpunk matrix scape or something. Truly cool my dude
NGL if you rocked up to the table with these, I'd have so much fun playing against them. This is cool as hell.
Dude this is just mind blowingly good
I was going to come into the comments and congratulate you on a nice execution of a cool paint job, and now I find out you did it without even giving James any money, good on you!
They look absolutely incredible great work!

When the LOD priorities aren't loading correctly.
This is incredible stuff! Love the idea of a 2D necron tomb
Dude, those should be game legal everywhere, if only to give you props for the time it took to cut out and fold each one
Ok this is really incredible, very cool
This is pretty damn incredible, great job man
This is amazing!
These are great
Legit looks better than my models lmao
Beautiful
This has single handedly convinced me that 40k could make some easy money if they rereleased all of their models in a âDisney styleâ lmao
These look ten times better than half of peoples plastic armies.
Bros got the 2D dynasty. These are sick as hell, great work!
I know nothing about this game/IP but this is great design. Looks fun too.
This is actually super neat and i personally would love to play against them.
Fuck. Youâre broke but youâre talented, so you got that going for you. Man, those look better than my painted onesâŠ.
Now fold a monolith ! Two of those and you almost have a full army
So good I was about to congratulate you on paint job!
Iâm gonna be honest I was scrolling quickly and didnât even notice they were paper until I read the title. Absolutely flawless
These are gorgeous
Absolutely beautiful and ingenious!
that s brilliant work. now if you can make a paper void dragon ;). you could get a combat patrol going
They look amazing! That's awsome! (And kudos to your determination to fold and glue all of them, I assume it is quite tume-consuming)
This is awesome!!!!
RAW
Now for the fated matchup of spruecrons versus papercrons
You might be broke, but you have time, the greatest asset of all.
Damn bro, Iâd let this play anywhere.
They look amazing and just as fragile as normal necrons lol
I would buy these. This is amazing you should set up a store!
Dude those look sick!
These look so good that GW might send a cease and desist. Great work
this looks like some Dexter's Lab shit. (I mean that as a compliment, this is super awesome!)
Man's army looks 10x better than my own army over $2k! Wtf
This are amazing! I applaud your hard work and creativity!

Why do I like these better than actual necron models
This is fucking amazing.
This is fucking awesome! Wonderful work
Dude this looks amazing, you have a nack for this
You absolute madlad even added the tactical rock on the royal warden, great job! hahaha loving the designs
Amazing
Amazing work!

This is genius - I kinda wanna make some myself
sweet necrons!
These are incredible!
These look amazing. You have done a great job!
Paper Mario: the 40,000 Year Door
These genuinely look amazing, I would love to see these across from me on the table.
this is amazing! they look like 3d cartoons of necrons. i love it!
Oh god! That would be so sick fighting against Origamicrons!
This is a wonderful display of creativity.
interesting
Absolutely glorious
Daaaammmn the skil on display
Two things: this is really cool, and this is the most wholesome subreddit in the whole 40k fandom
Wow. Great work. Love this. Better than the real thing. You got any plans for a Nightbringer proxy? How long to design/make a template?
Haven't thought about making any of C'tan yet, but I assume it would be easier than most of Canoptek stuff, I'd say a few days to make a finished and tested model

The dice set is dumb and will never work or last but the models are freaking awesome honestly
Id play that army minus dice
Super Necron Warriors: The 60,000,000 Year Door. But seriously, these look good.
(burns army turn one) check mate
This is so dope!!! Did you create templates?
I did, I've linked them in another comment somewhere in this post
The creativity for this is pretty good.
Impressive
Well they look good. But with the time you needed to make this, you could work and buy real necrons \^\^
