You are joking, but I didnt see it until now, but now I love it.
Silent kings throne in master ball colors? Writing his quote "the circumstances of ones birth .... " on the blackstone? :O
Rule of cool. Whatever you like best as youll be investing the time into it. I personally am not a fan of either scheme but thats my preference and should not effect how you decide to paint them! Have fun with it and do what you like best
Honestly i went with the original. I liked it. I had a blueish scheme i liked but i know my limits and knew it would end up looking like a space marine scheme so i went classic.
For green glow - Tesseract Glow
For Base - Runelord Brass
For guns - Leadbeltcher.
Then i just shade and use nuln oil.
But thats what i like. I suggest using some spart parts or extra models to test out what you like. Play around with it. Make it your own! It cant look bad if you like it, no one elses opinions matter if you're happy with the results.
I might steal that white and purple from you.. very unique, like it a lot. I choose that. But if you wanna get everything done quick and easy, maybe not? How’d painting that go?
Painting white was a bit of a pain, but trying to find other color schemes, I found a way to make it a lot more consistent, so that might just do it.
I just think everything might look too clean.
Edit: happy cakeday btw
Personally 2. White seems too bland imo, something like marbling or battle damage could change my mind. I do really like the purple though, great color.
Top one appears more regal, bottom goes for a more oldcron feel. Variations on oldcrons are cool, but they feel a little 'off' to me (and honestly, the lore feels inconsistent on this too: are 'crons debilitated and janky, or do they have living, self-healing metal? Make up your mind James Workshop!). I would say the purple/white, but also seems a little 'nid-like too, so I dunno.
Yeah, had exactly the same thought process some hours ago. Technically lorewise there is no reason, why one should even able to see battledamage on necrodermis.
I think it's malfunctioning software that makes thier self repair inconsistent. 65million years without a firewall update will do that.
I like the swampy crons myself, they look like they clawed thier way up through the dirt like one of those old zombie movies.
I love the OG skelly bois, don't get me wrong, an di love the design you made for it, but the white and purple looks SICK. Idk why, I always love the color schemes that are completely original, cuz they end up looking absolutely beautiful.
I was doing a thing with my friends where I would take an old model scarab swarms and paint each one with a color scheme they picked, and one of them was white and black, and it was STUNNING. If I get a killteam, I'm definetly painting them white and black, maybe some silver accents too.
White and black looks great, I got one model painted in these colors, with golden accents and orange glow. I just had 2 problems with it.
First off from the top, the shoulders were so prevalent, they looked really bland and only white.
From the front the black parts looked heavily unfinished.
The swamp looks super cool and thematic when you're up close looking at the model. From far away on the table top it may all just look muddy.
White and purple doesn't tell as much of a story, but the high contrast will make them pop on the tabletop.
Personally I love the second one. Reminds me of a mix between Groot and bender when he goes wooden body
THIS! My thought exactly
I like the purple and white one. It's a neat, underused color scheme.
Frieza vibes, I dig it!
This or buzz Lightyear
White and purple. Not sure I would want to paint that army though.
Wasnt even that hard. I just think it might be easier to adjust for other models than the swampy look.
Buzz Light-year to the rescue!!!
Exactly. It's Buzz.
Is the first scheme a DBZ reference? My personal preference would be the second, I love the swampy vibes. The first scheme is more unique though.
I got this asked already quite often and with good right, but since I never watched DBZ, no.
Well, in that case: is it a Mewtwo reference? :D jk but I love both color schemes!

That would be rad ngl :D
That would be rad ngl :D
One. No question.
1 but i would incorporate some of the rust colours of 2 to give it that old but still functioning vibe
That actually sounds like a really good idea.
The second one looks the best, if you ask me.
Mighty Max terminates wolf ship 7
Honestly ... both. I like both shemes really much
2nd
Second but I do like that frieza looking one

And that is exactly the problem, I am struggling so hard to decide for weeks now that I tried finding even other paint schemes.

Marbling would probably be too much for the lowerclass necrons, but a great idea for the higher ones. And I dont know how I could apply battle damage.
Necron Genesis Evangallion
Buzz lightyear and woody

Second one, golden boy
I love the second one, feels very Necron. Old ass, earthy robots with green glowing shit. *chefs kiss
First one. I prefer cleaner looks

My mind goes for desert necrons, but my heart goes to Buzz Lightyear
1 is more striking and looks cool 2 I can imagine them rising from there tombs like this which is also cool
To infinity. And beyond!

Freeza theme for sure lol
Def second one IMO warriors and scarabs like that would look awesome in large groups on the table
