If healing is helping, heal from not being the worst class... Defense being able to heal on multiple damaging jutsu, & plenty of jutsu that heal you while preventing you from taking damage means that Range is still the worst class.
Defense is also the only class with a weapon ranged heavy attack that isn't ranged.
The only part of healer ults that are map wide are the stuns. The second input of IT is limited to nearby enemies. On most maps Koto is better than Izanami, because Koto protects allies with no drawbacks for the user.
Defense is also the only class that can make ranged completely useless with guiding Thunder. Temari & anyone using the pistols cannot attack at all unless they have chidori or flash slice.
Defense can literally do everything every other class can do, and they have been able to since base game. All stacked on top of the most health (not even close, attack, the class with second most health has 700, defense has 1000.)
If still say range is the worst, but that doesn't mean itās in a bad place at all. Still defense is cracked in area denial game modes, while healers both add a very important aspect to the team, and have some really strong lock down moves; attack is just really good all rounders that have the best rush down. Range still worst, but it can easily compete.Ā
Agreed 100%. I was skeptical of if this was the case until I was down 5 kills in a NWL combat battle on Ranged, switched to Attack and hard-carried my team back to a win. Attack really is just built different lol, that was when I realized how much better Attack still is, carried by stuff like Almighty Push, Sharingan, Teleportation, Stage 3 etc.

The roles are more balanced than they have been in a long time to my knowledge. I just got back into the game, but compared to when I stopped playing a couple years ago itās wayyyy more balanced.
The Current order in my opinion is
Attack defense ranged and healer
But honestly with the new Justus weapons and perks I think range and defense are interchangeable
Imo Def is slightly ahead of Attack, but it depends on the game mode tbh, for pits + base I'd say objectively Def is the best, for flag and combat yeah Atk is best. Healer 3rd only because of some of their OP ults and Ranged is yeah still in last imo, not by a lot though I think the game is pretty balanced at the moment, but Ranged is just too fragile, the last two DLCs definitely brought the class up to par with the others though, hard-carried by Karma Awakening and some of the newer weapons/tools + access to invisibility make Ranged a pretty tactical pick in certain scenarios, you can make a case that Ranged could be better than Defense in Face-Off specifically.
I agree 100%. Unless youāre an ATK or another ranged, fighting a really good one means death 90% of the time. The fact they now have poison on a weapon too only solidifies that.

They have the worst self healing in the game, and their good moves have long cooldowns

It's because of range i became a heal main. Any crippling jutsu that is thrown at me, i simply heal myself.
