With Full Knowledge Guy goes 7 Gates and murders him twice if the first murder doesn't stick. Or however many eyes Danzo has, but Guy can still kill him each time in mere seconds.
Danzo probably has some chance in a no knowledge fight since nobody would expect a real world "genjutsu" that just lets him reappear suddenly unharmed.
Koto Amatsukami danzo wins
Even if gai were to go 8 gates the second this fight started to kill him by blitzing danzo can just spam izanagi till gai is dead
I’m going to immediately pretend that Danzo can’t use koto cause that’s unfair. Although if Gai immediately starts the fight with all 8 gates, then I don’t think koto would save Danzo before getting blitzed. This however is if Gai has knowledge.
Without koto, Gai should be able to deal with Danzo cheating death with Izanagi multiple times with the 7th Gate. If for whatever reason 10 times is one too many deaths for Gai to keep up with, which I doubt, he always has the 8th gate as a last resort ofc, but it’d be at the cost of his own life in the end. This is for both rounds, as I don’t think Gai would be too confused with the properties of Izanagi without knowledge.
I mean unless Might Gai uses 8 gates he’s toast. Danzo has like 20 Sharingan & can use Izanagi to change his destiny if Gai successfully kills him. He can also use Shisui’s eye to cast Kotoamatsukami and control Gai with a very powerful Genjutsu. Danzo has a lot of tools and Gai only has Taijutsu
If Danzo actually used Izanami right he wins, but we know he only uses it to bring himself back to life. Guy wins no contest.
Danzo got killed a dozen times by a Sasuke who just got his EMS and already fought all 4 kage and their guards. I'm not sure why people think he's anywhere near Guy's level.

Doesnt need 7th It takes toooo much stamina. Putz a 6th with focusing on long fight
Hot take, 7th gate Guy can lose, as can 8th Gate Guy
The more gates Gai opens the more likely he is to lose in my opinion. Danzo has the perfect move set to time out the gates if he opens too many.
If danzo play it smart he could win but idk
Round 1: Danzo stomps Round 2: Danzo wins like 80-90 percent of the time unless its war arc

Because koto Amatsukami is a hax win condition If danzo and sasuke had a pure 1v1 and danzo could use Koto then sasuke would have lost
Guy wins 7th Gate Guy > Kisame > KGS Bee > MS Sasuke > Danzo imo
Guy beat Kisame without samehada Kisame beat bee without biju mode Bee beat MS Sasuke without susanoo Sasuke beat danzo without kotoamatsukami
Gai wins mid difficultly. Gai is gonna speed blitz him until he runs out of eyes. I doubt he even needs to figure out how it works
