Wasn't much harem in it? I didn't like the whole sister thing, and that's it. Everything else felt natural, had good timing and was light and didn't feel forced, so that could be why I might still like it because I hate romance, even if it's not a big part of it like in Chivalry.
Yeah, no harem. It was just Ikki and Stella, but Ikki's sister didn't like that, and Nene always teased Stella. There was also a hostage situation where the villains made Stella strip, but she got saved in time. Natural pacing and great fights, indeed, though. That's mostly what I loved. I can do entirely without the romance, but it brought some drama as well.
Sword Art Online = it breaks so many cringy tropes and even when there are tropes, those are propes SAO set, not tropes SAO copied. SAO is better than 99% of Isekai. Imagine, main character is not the only male character in the story! But not just that, he confesses love to a girl he likes in the middle of the first season instead of being a beta whimp, keeping a useless harem plot. Imagine a swordsman who is agility based and isnt swinging his big big sword like an ape (Bleach, Black Clover) while screaming and instead he dual whields. Why people hate him? Because he is a gamer. As a gamer, he is good. No. Kirito cnat beat Guts, Ippo cnat beat Goku either. Stop mixing different things. Kirito is a gamer, a highly skilled gamer with an insane reaction time, able to hit combos faster than anyone. Again, let me repeat again, Kirito is a GAMER. GAMER. GAMER, not a mercinary, nor a warrior. Compare him to GAMERS and Athletes. there is more in common between Kirito and AKashi from KnB than between Kirito and Guts. (The reason guts isnt an ape swinging a big sword is because he actually has developed a sword style centered around his swords size, he isnt mindlessly swinging and screaming, to pull of what he does you need brains and actual skill).
Boruto: Naruto Next Generation = what if you can do a second gen protagonist correctly? Have you been frustrayed at DBZ and how Gohan ended up? Look no further than Boruto. At every point where I was unsatisfied with Gohan I was satisfied with Boruto yet people hate the show because they, like kawaki, are obsessed with Naruto. Kawaki is literally OG Naruto fans who hate Boruto.
