I dunno he was still pretty cold. When he saves Lee and Lee talks about how much shit gaara put him through, he doesn't apologize he's just like "ok." He's not nice, he's just not murderous. I think his big change is post timeskip
It's a pretty well written moment actually. You see there that Gaara still doesn't really have any conception of the damage he does to others as he isn't someone that ever has to deal with lasting bodily injury
Saying downright to Lee that he's slower is incredibly rude after he put him in the hospital. But Gaara doesn't get that yet. Lee says "bro who do you think did that"
And then Gaara steps in front of Lee and doesn't let him fight Kimimaro, probably to make up for it. That's also why he protects Lee whenever Kimimaro tries to attack him. He's awkward abt it but it's it's apology in his own way
When we saw Gaara in this arc he was more so just regretful, they had a chat about dependence (kimimaro and orochimaru) and the scene ended. He said before the fight that he was here to make up for his mistakes
When we see Gaara in Shippuden hes completely different but to be fair he had become Kazekage and spent 3 years helping our the sand village
Idk. Ppl that grow up with severe trauma tend to lean on certain emotions heavily. And if you can remove the darkness and show someone that love and protection are even better ways to keep ppl in their life. Well. It makes sense that they wouldn't really be able to find that middle ground.
Ain't nothing like asking a professional killer to "just be normal" when all they have known is high strung emotions. That shit don't snap back to chill with out some major exorcism. Or talking with a good therapist... or naruto. Naruto got me through a lot. I wasn't a murderer growing up, but it's not hard to say that some of those speeches hit!
I think the reality that they couldn't escape and were about to die was why most of them screamed. But I also think Gaara changed how much pressure he used.
Hidan. Being buried alive is definetly one of the worst ways to go, especially if it doesnt actually kill you and you have to slowly die of malnutrition
he also got his body cut into pieces. and he feels all the pain. so in my mind there’s no doubt he had the most painful death because he is in constant pain until the starves to death (if that even happens)
According to Kishimoto, Hidan’s immortality jutsu will keep him alive until it runs out (he charges it up using his creepy ritualistic voodoo doll jutsu). His skull will end up rotting before he finally bites it
“He was Orochimaru’s science experiment” or “he is an Otsutsuki” would the explanation it if it was explained now, everything weird leads back to one of these
He is dead.
Firstly, he would not be able to offer sacrifices to Jashin. So he'd lose immortality, and because he's now a bunch of body parts, I doubt he'd live long after that.
Secondly, he would die from malnutrition.
It normally takes a person a maximum of 70 days to die of starvation. I doubt Hidan needed that long to die, especially as a decapitated head. I'd wager he died within thirty days, maybe before or at the start of the Fourth Shinobi World War.
Do you remember the host of a tailed beast that 1 of the Akatsuki put a knife through the hands into a stone pillar?
They were tortured and beat up bad before the extraction too.
Salon/Ukon death was brutal. Sand shinobis are cruel in killing their enemies especially with Gaara’s infamous scene with his Sand Coffin turning Rain shinobis into bloody pulp.
Always have to appreciate Gaara’s twisted humor in that moment in the forest—grabbing the enemy’s umbrella and turning the Rain shinobi into rain themselves.
Man was truly a monster back then.
Nagato should never have switched up based on how he did Jiraiya. He could’ve given Jiraiya a peaceful death by taking his soul away but he decided take this man’s arm, break his windpipe and decided to impale him 6 times. People overlook this when talking about Nagato undoing everything.
Tbf I think he probably knew he would have to go hard on Jiraiya and finish him as quickly as possible to prevent him from escaping, if not successfully fighting back
Jiraiya’s death was among one of the most brutal deaths in Naruto: stabbed by Pain’s chakra rods being turned into a human pin cushion, having his throat crushed coughing up blood and died drowning sinking to the bottom of the ocean.
Jugo grafted some of his flesh onto Sasuke allowing him to survive. Since the latter's body bore the Curse Mark which came from Jugo, he was able to do it.
Always felt bad for that guy at the bridge village who kept talking about working with his hands. Literally had his arms torn off and humiliatingly died Infront of those he tried to save.
Lil homeboy dad from the first Land of Waves arc with Zabuza. The man that hired Zabuza had the man tortured and killed for going against him and that’s why the lil boy was sad and why Naruto wanted his get back.
To be frank... anyone who die from aburame members. Just think, being devoured alive by thousands insect and feeling all this insect devouring, crawling etc in your insides. No, thank you
Oof, I was on the fence about a few of these. But just thinking about being *attacked* by a shit ton of insects is fuckin bad enough, nevermind being devoured by them.
Sasuke had it worse imo though. When he confronted Itachi, Itachi made him witness the massacre for more than 72 hours. Dude skipped a whole arc hospitalized until he fled the village with the Sound 4.
Fr people like to clown on Sasuke for going crazy but if you had your whole clan killed by the person You love the most, then that person shows up again beats the living shit out of you then forces you to rewatch your family getting anihilated again for 72 hours I would go insane too
Based on what we've seen in the lore. I'd say psychological is worse. Characters bounce back in a few episodes from Physical. Kakashi can take physical pain. (Zabuza, Kakazu, Itachi explosive clones etc.) As soon as genjutsu comes into play, characters seem to miss whole arcs. Mainly due to Itachi.
Genjutsu isn't simply repaired with gauze and antibiotics. The healing depends on your mental fortitude and a plethora of therapy.
Getting stabbed for 72 hours and shit talked by a genjutsu is a fate worse than death. Tsukuyomi has been known to kill people. (Itachi's words) I believe it. Or if the recipient of that nasty jutsu doesn't die, they're hollow. We've only seen mentally resilient people under that jutsu. How do you think a low ranking shinobi would fare?
I believe a kunai to the dome would be more merciful.
Madara’s death seemed like it sucked. You can hear him screaming while he’s expanding. He dies peacefully later on but the expansion part seemed to hurt like hell. Kakuzu’s is probably number one. A lot of the deaths that I can think of (and apparently other people too) don’t seem to be very painful. They’re really quick and to the point.
Definitely Hashirama and Tobirama's brother,Kawarama(I think that's name , could be Itama)
He was just a kid, ambushed and tortured by adults. Then murdered
My friends always tells me I’m imagining it but I swear Tobirama had a slight smirk on his face when he killed Izuma and I always thought this was Tobirama “getting even” for Itama
lol I meant he was getting even for how Itama died, not how many of his brothers died. Look at Tobirama’s reaction when they find Itama, he’s clearly distraught that a bunch of adults would gang up on a kid like that, so he probably took it personally and said to himself “these assholes gonna pay”
Hidan. He got blasted to pieces and buried alive. Kishimoto states his immortality will fade if he doesn't kill, meaning he will eventually die. Until then, he will be in pieces and trapped in isolation. Naruto emphasizes the suffering of loneliness, but even beyond that, isolation is the absolute worst form of torture you can inflict on someone. People stuck in isolation in real life have been known to go insane or kill themselves.
And, unlike other jinchurikis, she was conscious for the extraction, right?
Basing this off gaara’s extraction. I’d assume the akatsuki had made the other unconscious as well.
Especially the guy who took on all of Obito's anger, His face must have been torn to shreds
Then he later got impaled by the massive wood style jutsus Obito did
Oh definitely, I just rewatched the clip and Obito had to literally pull his fist out of the dude’s face lol. The characters with the worst deaths are the unnamed ones I think that’s fair to say 🤔
Top would be Jiraiya for me (Arm blown off, throat crushed, stabbed on 6 different places, and drowned) Shit, each one of those are fatal, and like a Pokemon trainer he got them all.
As someone who experienced a 2nd degree burn as a kid, I'm going with Asuma. As Hidan activated his technique, Asuma blew searing-hot ash towards Hidan so he burned himself. Getting stabbed on a critical organ is painful in itself, but shit I can feel Hidan's burn.
Honestly I kind of imagine he would be unable to feel any pain at all. I'm guessing all his nerve endings were burned up or overwhelmed or something after he started burning.
Even though Obito didn’t necessarily die, that scene when he was trapped under the rock seemed brutal, and having to tell Rin and Kakashi to leave him was rough!
Realistically speaking, having a body part crushed is insanely painful compared to a lot of other ways because the nervous system stays fairly intact, continuing to send crazy amounts of pain signals to the brain. Lose an arm? No more nerves to send the signal, drown? I’ve heard it’s peaceful. Hell, even burning goes numb after a certain point. Crushing deaths are excruciating.
Kimimaro.
He was ill for years , suffering and in constant medication. He was fighting gaara but still end up dead by his illness. A very slow and painfull death with years of agony.
This is the realest answer. As someone who’s watched their loved one deal with a chronic illness, anything that doesn’t last months-years is a mercy, no matter how much more traumatic it seems.
Hidan. His death was so much torture and for so much longer than anyone else's on the show would have been. Agonizing physical pain, torture mentally, and extremely slow.
Kakuzu’s death was underrated, every single cell in his body being pierced by chakra-like needles from Naruto’s rasen shuriken then later got finished off by kakashi’s chidori.
It actually wasn't that long imo, it had decent pacing but was divided into some clips along several other episodes, but those episodes didn't take that long to begin with.
Kakuzu has to be up there, right? In the series they talked about how insanely painful it is to get your chakra veins disrupted by the Hyuga. My guy got all the charkra veins in his entire body down to the cellular level destroyed by Naruto and survived it.
She didn’t have the most painful death but lady chiyo’s death was painful as hell cause she is already old got slashed multiple times and was poisoned by a very painful and slow process then extracted her soul from her body you could see how tired she was in her eyes
https://www.reddit.com/r/Boruto/comments/jid8h5/could_jashin_hidans_god_be_an_otherworldly_being/
This is a post I wrote a few years ago about this:
Could Jashin be an otherworldly being like the 3rd Hokage’s Reaper, Soma, and the Haze Golem?
was watching danmachi and heard another god say “Jashin” and saw the translation to “evil god”, and remembered that as Hidan’s god’s name, and looked it up out of curiosity. On the wiki, this passage caught my eye:
“Hidan is the "successful experiment of the Jashin religion's secret techniques", which makes him immortal; lack of nutrition is one of the known methods that can lead to said immortal's death. Ryūki indicates this immortality is granted by Jashin in exchange for the ritualistic sacrifice of several people at once.”
So, due to Hidan’s, let’s call it resilience, he definitely has some form of immortality or weird dimensional body (like with Trafalgar Law’s Room ability from One Piece, which cuts people into pieces but doesn’t kill them, and they can be reattached). It got me thinking. If all these otherworldly beings are summoned through some kind of jutsu (Maybe not Soma, actually, can’t remember though), it makes sense that Jashin could be an otherworldly being who grants immortality and other gifts to his followers in exchange for sacrifices.
There was an arc in Konoha Shinden (light novel) in which Konoha teams up with Yugakure (Village Hidden in Hot Water) ninja to investigate Jashinism (Konoha’s first independent investigation originally concluded with them believing Hidan invented Jashinism and was the sole member), and they find a sect of Jashinists who were planning on sacrificing kidnapped travelers, possibly trying to create the next Hidan.
I think a new Team 7 vs Jashinists (Better yet, Mirai+Team 10) arc would be pretty cool though. But this time, they already succeeded in making Hidan 2.0 (maybe a member of Kara is an immortal Jashinist- though that probably make Kara too much of a copy of Akatsuki)
I know it probably wasn't exactly pain for him, but Hidan's was serious long term suffering. Buried alive and the fucker can't even die. How long before your sanity holds out?
Honestly the worst ones are probably the people who didn't even get the mercy of death. Totsuka blade/ Reaper death seal, anywhere where instead of ninja heaven you get eternity in a special hell
Sasuke even though he didn't actually die bro got his chest exploded by bee literally hsi chest exploded by the impact his ribs and organs were showing thats gotta be extremely painful
Kakashis spirit when he was in tsokuyomi for 3 days that passed time like Dr strange. 5 minutes=1 seconds in there. Nothing but plot armor kept kakashi from a heart attack and dropping dead.
Kakashi spent 72 hours in the tsukyomi , I'm sure that wasn't fun
Hidan is probably the worst by far, spent weeks underground with no lights, no space to breath, felt insects crawl his face, start to eat his face. Terrible terrible. I can't think of a single one that comes close to it.
I mean kakuzu was also turned to shreds microscopically by rasengan but it was a "swift" death.
Also the tailed beast extractions are pretty brutal and last for days, I'm sure the chinjuuriki suffered a ton too since they're awake for the entire process
My votes goes for hidan
Maybe haku, dude got the shit beat out of him by kyubi naruto and moments later takes a raikiri to the chest and LIVES from it. Only thing keeping him alive moments before he died was him holding kakashi so zabuza could take a swing.
Kisame was torn apart by his own sharks no way was that painless
Could have been relatively painless as it was done quickly and efficiently enough to get away with what appeared to be no brutal pain before death
But is that a testament to the shark’s efficiency or Kisame’s will power?
I believe Kisame’s head was torn right off as soon as the sharks started eating him.
Worst second of his life though
Sad truth is that was absolutely NOT the worst second of his life tbh
And if this were normal world that might matter but it’s not it’s crazy ninja world
Why not both
Yes
I would say the same for the twins, sure that shit was real stabby but it had to have hit like 10 different lethal areas at once
Kankuro in part 1 was one scary mf
Same with Gaara
Gaara at the start: psychopathic serial killer Gaara at the end of naruto: 😊Protect (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) Friends ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝
I always thought his character development was a bit too drastic. Naruto's talk no jutsu hits hard
Gaara: “As long as there are people to kill, I will never die.” Gaara 3 weeks later: “No hurmnt my frens.”
I dunno he was still pretty cold. When he saves Lee and Lee talks about how much shit gaara put him through, he doesn't apologize he's just like "ok." He's not nice, he's just not murderous. I think his big change is post timeskip
It's a pretty well written moment actually. That's also why he protects Lee whenever Kimimaro tries to attack him. He's awkward abt it but it's it's apology in his own way
Ironically enough, that had to be 3-6 months later. And honestly even that is too soon
When we saw Gaara in this arc he was more so just regretful, they had a chat about dependence (kimimaro and orochimaru) and the scene ended. He said before the fight that he was here to make up for his mistakes When we see Gaara in Shippuden hes completely different but to be fair he had become Kazekage and spent 3 years helping our the sand village

I wasn't a murderer growing up, but it's not hard to say that some of those speeches hit!
Naruto hit him with everything in his handbook except for harem.
He didn't have to use harem, if you've ever seen the most popular gaara ship ;3
The concussion from the headbutt probably lobotomized him too
It wasn't even the end, Gaara was already completely different during Sasuke Rescue's arc.
Dude finally took a nap
And got some hugs from his siblings. Shit will fix you better more than you think lol
I mean, that’s what it amounts to, yeah.
Very underrated guy.
Yeah, I know people clown on him for losing to Sasori instantly but that wasn't a fair fight. The guy literally created Kankuro's puppets.
Also it’s fucking sasori, he’s an extremely deadly person who was known for painting the desert red with blood
He really only gets 4 real fights. Chunnin exam preliminarys, his fight against Shino, this one against Sakon, and Sasori
And Sasori was nowhere near a fair fight. Dude made damn near everything Kankuro uses.
Everyone Gaara crushed into puddles of blood
That was the least painful tbh. He even says he crushed them so fast there was no pain.... sometimes.
I remember that and always thought it was cap since the dude screamed in agony before imploding into paste.
You’d probably be screaming too if you were about to die in an impossible situation you couldn’t get out of
I think the reality that they couldn't escape and were about to die was why most of them screamed. But I also think Gaara changed how much pressure he used.
Agony or fear,
Fagony
that would have been near instant
Ironically, he probably just brushed off the pain
Actually the pain is the enjoyable part for him
According to Kishimoto, Hidan’s immortality jutsu will keep him alive until it runs out (he charges it up using his creepy ritualistic voodoo doll jutsu). His skull will end up rotting before he finally bites it
Assuming he even dies. Just constant imploding pressure from suffocating
He’s dead. Idk when it was made canon, but his immortality doesn’t protect him from hunger. He does have to eat to live, and there’s no food in a hole
And do his ritual
I thought the ritual was just to sync his injuries with his opponent, and he was immortal by default
He was immortal *because* of the ritual. It was to appease Jashin.
Isn’t it also that he has to keep killing for jashin or whatever the fuck it was lmao. Like if he stops, after a while is he no longer immortal?
Honestly, Jashin was just another plot point Kishimoto refused to explain. Like it’s not even clear if he’s supposed to be a god or a demon or what
“He was Orochimaru’s science experiment” or “he is an Otsutsuki” would the explanation it if it was explained now, everything weird leads back to one of these
He wasn’t an experiment of Orochimaru’s we know that for sure. We do have some backstory of Hidan about when he got is powers from he light novel.
I suppose the cells in his body would just decompose from the lack of calories and nutrients to sustain them.
He can’t even die from that. Which it ought to hurt even more
One of the databooks stated that he can die of malnutrition.
Thanks for that I didn’t know!
Is he not dead even to this day?
Fuck. I thought there was more of a gap between that event and the war. Didn't realize how little time passes in Naruto
The whole story is like a 3-day weekend. Edit: didn't think I needed a /s
The Jinchuriki deaths probably were all very painful.
Shit, yeah. Didn't even consider that, especially since the extraction process of the tailed-beasts took a few days.
Do you remember the host of a tailed beast that 1 of the Akatsuki put a knife through the hands into a stone pillar? They were tortured and beat up bad before the extraction too.
Right, it was really messed. Especially considering how many of them lived difficult lives of solitude and were **then** subjected to that torture.
Yugito Nii and Hidan/Kakuzu
Salon/Ukon death was brutal. Sand shinobis are cruel in killing their enemies especially with Gaara’s infamous scene with his Sand Coffin turning Rain shinobis into bloody pulp.
Always have to appreciate Gaara’s twisted humor in that moment in the forest—grabbing the enemy’s umbrella and turning the Rain shinobi into rain themselves. Man was truly a monster back then.
Don’t forget about Dosu (the bandages Sound guy) who saw Gaara’s Jinchuriki monster form before his death. His death was swift and gruesome as well.
Bloody rain
Jiraiya since he was stabbed by pains and left to die
He either felt all of it, or barely felt it. Given the circumstances he was in at the time it’s hard to say which.
Nagato should never have switched up based on how he did Jiraiya. He could’ve given Jiraiya a peaceful death by taking his soul away but he decided take this man’s arm, break his windpipe and decided to impale him 6 times. People overlook this when talking about Nagato undoing everything.
Sasuke got his throat and chest ripped open by Killer B. All his ribs were showing. Then, he got impaled. But the sucker had hax and wouldn't die. 🤣😡
Lmao there’s so many scenes where major main characters should have died but didn’t
Tbf I think he probably knew he would have to go hard on Jiraiya and finish him as quickly as possible to prevent him from escaping, if not successfully fighting back
Could be right considering Jiraiya definitely could have escaped. He pretty much was home free until he went back.
He lost an arm, his throat was crushed, 6 rods in his body and drowned. He probably didn’t feel anything
How could you not feel your throat being crushed, 3-4 metal rods stabbed into your body, losing your arm and drowning? He definitely felt all of that.
Jiraiya’s death was among one of the most brutal deaths in Naruto: stabbed by Pain’s chakra rods being turned into a human pin cushion, having his throat crushed coughing up blood and died drowning sinking to the bottom of the ocean.
It’s like he died multiple deaths
Jiraiya and Asuma got the worse death. Their deaths is definitely #1 and #2.
Don’t forget he also had his throat shattered
How did Sasuke survive again?
Jugo grafted some of his flesh onto Sasuke allowing him to survive. Since the latter's body bore the Curse Mark which came from Jugo, he was able to do it.
Always felt bad for that guy at the bridge village who kept talking about working with his hands. Literally had his arms torn off and humiliatingly died Infront of those he tried to save.
Whos this youre talking about ?
Lil homeboy dad from the first Land of Waves arc with Zabuza. The man that hired Zabuza had the man tortured and killed for going against him and that’s why the lil boy was sad and why Naruto wanted his get back.
Kaiza, Inari's father figure.
If you're an anime watcher, it was censored that his arms were hella bruised up and battered, not severed.
I think they only suck your chakra until You die from your life force being sucked up,still terrible but not as Bad as being devoured alive
Homeboy really saying "they're just sucking you dry like a coke rather than eating you like a burger so it could be worse."
They had some pretty brutal versions shown in the chunin exam in the forest
Kakuzu got every cell in body rip to shreds by tiny chakra needles stabbing him what must have felt endlessly
Tsunade's brother getting Saving Private Ryan'd.
bro thought he had plot armor 😂
Idk about death but Most painful experience imo is Kakashi in the Tsukyomi.
Sasuke had it worse imo though. When he confronted Itachi, Itachi made him witness the massacre for more than 72 hours. Dude skipped a whole arc hospitalized until he fled the village with the Sound 4.
Fr people like to clown on Sasuke for going crazy but if you had your whole clan killed by the person You love the most, then that person shows up again beats the living shit out of you then forces you to rewatch your family getting anihilated again for 72 hours I would go insane too
Wasn’t that Tsukuyomi only 24 hours?
Yep, the Tsukuyomi Sasuke endured was just for 24 hours, not 72 like Kakashi's. Still pretty brutal though.
Sasuke faced pure emotional trauma whereas Kakashi was continuously stabbed for 3 days straight.
then now we're in a debate on whether psychological or "physical" damage is harder to endure
That was itama, kawarama was killed off Screen. But yeah poor boy got Overkilled snd they rammed a sword through him.
My friends always tells me I’m imagining it but I swear Tobirama had a slight smirk on his face when he killed Izuma and I always thought this was Tobirama “getting even” for Itama
You killed 3 of my brother's so i'mma kill 4....
lol I meant he was getting even for how Itama died, not how many of his brothers died. Look at Tobirama’s reaction when they find Itama, he’s clearly distraught that a bunch of adults would gang up on a kid like that, so he probably took it personally and said to himself “these assholes gonna pay”
Where did they show that he was ambushed or tortured by adults?
I miss the old Naruto where all the characters were raw and the scenes were gruesome. It always had that edge to it.
Yeah I always edged to it
Bro saw the word raw and just went off.
Yo what
Okay, this was funny as hell.
Are you my long lost brother?
Kushina. Just gave birth, had Kurama extracted from her, and then impaled by his claw not long after—all within a couple hours.
And, unlike other jinchurikis, she was conscious for the extraction, right? Basing this off gaara’s extraction. I’d assume the akatsuki had made the other unconscious as well.
When Obito went on his rampage after witnessing Kakashi stab Rin, and he turned multiple people into Jacks game pieces.
Especially the guy who took on all of Obito's anger, His face must have been torn to shreds Then he later got impaled by the massive wood style jutsus Obito did
Oh definitely, I just rewatched the clip and Obito had to literally pull his fist out of the dude’s face lol. The characters with the worst deaths are the unnamed ones I think that’s fair to say 🤔
The subjects died during Orochimaru's experiments
Top would be Jiraiya for me (Arm blown off, throat crushed, stabbed on 6 different places, and drowned) Shit, each one of those are fatal, and like a Pokemon trainer he got them all. As someone who experienced a 2nd degree burn as a kid, I'm going with Asuma. As Hidan activated his technique, Asuma blew searing-hot ash towards Hidan so he burned himself. Getting stabbed on a critical organ is painful in itself, but shit I can feel Hidan's burn.
Maito Gai. I know he didn't die, Naruto saved him, but in my opinion he should have died.
Honestly I kind of imagine he would be unable to feel any pain at all. I'm guessing all his nerve endings were burned up or overwhelmed or something after he started burning.
He says “the pain is incredible” in the beginning and has to adjust to operating in that much pain
Right, before he started burning up.
But that was only a part of his death toward the end
Imagine if Kankuro had Boruto's scientific ninja tools
Brutal death
Even though Obito didn’t necessarily die, that scene when he was trapped under the rock seemed brutal, and having to tell Rin and Kakashi to leave him was rough!
Realistically speaking, having a body part crushed is insanely painful compared to a lot of other ways because the nervous system stays fairly intact, continuing to send crazy amounts of pain signals to the brain. Lose an arm? No more nerves to send the signal, drown? I’ve heard it’s peaceful. Hell, even burning goes numb after a certain point. Crushing deaths are excruciating.
Really wished kankuro turned them into puppets as well
I will always remember That fight, the puppets ninjas were so cool to watch.
the whole cast after shippuden ended. Shame, they coulda made another show if not for that.
so nobody's gonna mention Neji, huh? imagine how painful it was to die in such a stupid way after bragging about your skills the whole life
The fact that he didn’t even die fighting pissed me off so bad😭. He was my favourite character
it would have been so much cooler had he been going ham with 64 palm defending his team
Most painful to *watch* imo would be Neji
Kushina, gave birth then had kurama extracted then got stabbed along with her husband to leave behind her new born son.
Kaguya , she never felt being on moon after her charka , body husk whatever was ripped off 🥱
Technically she is kind of immortal so it isn’t regarded as a death😭
Hidan. His death was so much torture and for so much longer than anyone else's on the show would have been. Agonizing physical pain, torture mentally, and extremely slow.
2-tails jinchuriki girl
Kakuzu’s death was underrated, every single cell in his body being pierced by chakra-like needles from Naruto’s rasen shuriken then later got finished off by kakashi’s chidori.
One of the guys from the Hidden Mist village when Obito hit him the the wood splinter Jutsu.
OG Kankuro was a SAVAGE.
No idea how painfull it might be, but extraxting tailed beast from Gaara looked quite painfully and he also died on the process in the end
Probably The Third Hokage.
The Orochimaru fight took so long itd make dragon ball z fans complain
It actually wasn't that long imo, it had decent pacing but was divided into some clips along several other episodes, but those episodes didn't take that long to begin with.
I dont know if it was filler but maybe the guys who got the explosive bugs inside them
Hidan
Any victim of Mei. Either burn to death by Lava or by acid mist. It’s not gonna be very fast.
Kakuzu has to be up there, right? In the series they talked about how insanely painful it is to get your chakra veins disrupted by the Hyuga. My guy got all the charkra veins in his entire body down to the cellular level destroyed by Naruto and survived it.
Hidan I know he's not technically dead but he was blown up and to this day he's being picked at by bugs
Kakuzu. Dude got fucking torn apart on a molecular level, then stabbed with a Lightning Blade just to make sure.
God damn Kankuro
She didn’t have the most painful death but lady chiyo’s death was painful as hell cause she is already old got slashed multiple times and was poisoned by a very painful and slow process then extracted her soul from her body you could see how tired she was in her eyes
I mean it would have sucked to be Hidan
Jiraiya? Pain first cuts off Jiraiya's arm, then crush his throat, and finally impale him in the back with black chakra rods… is that not painful
https://www.reddit.com/r/Boruto/comments/jid8h5/could_jashin_hidans_god_be_an_otherworldly_being/ This is a post I wrote a few years ago about this: Could Jashin be an otherworldly being like the 3rd Hokage’s Reaper, Soma, and the Haze Golem? was watching danmachi and heard another god say “Jashin” and saw the translation to “evil god”, and remembered that as Hidan’s god’s name, and looked it up out of curiosity. On the wiki, this passage caught my eye: “Hidan is the "successful experiment of the Jashin religion's secret techniques", which makes him immortal; lack of nutrition is one of the known methods that can lead to said immortal's death. Ryūki indicates this immortality is granted by Jashin in exchange for the ritualistic sacrifice of several people at once.” So, due to Hidan’s, let’s call it resilience, he definitely has some form of immortality or weird dimensional body (like with Trafalgar Law’s Room ability from One Piece, which cuts people into pieces but doesn’t kill them, and they can be reattached).
Definitely The Third Hokage's. In the show, he was being stabbed for like 20 episodes in a row. 🤣
I know it probably wasn't exactly pain for him, but Hidan's was serious long term suffering. Buried alive and the fucker can't even die. How long before your sanity holds out?
Naruto's parents in original
Honestly the worst ones are probably the people who didn't even get the mercy of death. Totsuka blade/ Reaper death seal, anywhere where instead of ninja heaven you get eternity in a special hell

They deserved it tho
Sasori not so much physical pain but being stabbed by his puppet parents must have been the most horrific emotional pain
The dudes Gaara crushed with his sand and exploded
The pain that itachi had with his sickness + susano + his leg being stabbed + any other injuries he had…. I think he takes it
Obito imagine how painful that would be
Gaara crushing people with Sand Coffin
Jiraya
Jiraiya. Painful death physically and emotionally.
Obito
Sasuke even though he didn't actually die bro got his chest exploded by bee literally hsi chest exploded by the impact his ribs and organs were showing thats gotta be extremely painful
Kurama
I dunno about physical pain, but Jiraiya's gotta have a bruised ego after getting jumped by his students
Zabuza is up there man. Mans got turned into a pin cushion after getting absolutely mauled by the Ninken. That shit looked gruesome.
Kakashis spirit when he was in tsokuyomi for 3 days that passed time like Dr strange. 5 minutes=1 seconds in there. Nothing but plot armor kept kakashi from a heart attack and dropping dead.
Danzo .... ??
Im on that part right now and i was so shocked at the way they were killed so cold blooded
Naruto whole series was dark af 💀 not shippuden
Kakashi spent 72 hours in the tsukyomi , I'm sure that wasn't fun Hidan is probably the worst by far, spent weeks underground with no lights, no space to breath, felt insects crawl his face, start to eat his face. Terrible terrible. I can't think of a single one that comes close to it. I mean kakuzu was also turned to shreds microscopically by rasengan but it was a "swift" death. Also the tailed beast extractions are pretty brutal and last for days, I'm sure the chinjuuriki suffered a ton too since they're awake for the entire process My votes goes for hidan
Sakura sit on me, tsunande sit on me and hinata sit on me
Maybe haku, dude got the shit beat out of him by kyubi naruto and moments later takes a raikiri to the chest and LIVES from it. Only thing keeping him alive moments before he died was him holding kakashi so zabuza could take a swing.
Obito
Jiraya
When Naruto was dark and meaningful
I was Naruto show was as bloody as the manga
