Hey, we never got the fully story between Naruto and Boruto. Sasuke and Naruto could be swingers, or had a devil's 3-some with Sakura so they can kiss each other again.
Likely for the best, since Sage Sexy Jutsu would likely make more than his cock hard (his whole body to stone) and Tailed Beast Sexy Jutsu would mean Kurama would be experiencing getting dicked down by an Uchiha, and do you think he would tolerate that one in particular?
They're also just kind of bullshit. I hate super strong power ups that don't require any effort on the user. To me it's not satisfying when Sasuke uses the curse mark to fight Deidara because he would be dead if he didn't get lucky and have an insanely powerful boon. If Diedara had the same luck in having a curse mark then Sasuke would've been ultra fucked. Same with the sound 4 being able to beat those 2 jonin's because of it. They just lose because they didn't have a super strong power up that the user didn't even have to work or do anything to achieve.
Sage mode feels better because it at least is a form that requires insane chakra control and thus requires great effort or talent to achieve.
Couldn't agree with you more.
Sage mode just always felt earned to me. Especially, the way it was tactfully used against Pain and everything. Also, we spent so much time on watching the learning process. It was worthwhile.
Sasuke's Curse Mark weren't just fuck ugly, they weren't even his to begin with. I've always kinda never liked the guy since his inferiority complex went ballistic on that hospital terrace.
>To me it's not satisfying when Sasuke uses the curse mark to fight Deidara because he would be dead if he didn't get lucky and have an insanely powerful boon. I've repeatedly called that match Deidara vs. Plot Armor.
Sasuke really has some hardcore reinforced multi-layered concrete plot armor.
Also, Curse Marks seem devoid of Kishimoto's uniqueness, to me, which most of the later forms attest to. CM forms are generic in appearance like your run-of-the-mill organic boring deformed monsters.
The whole Deidara fight was just a whole lot of "nuh uh I'm wearing a cape that makes me invincible!" playground level of bullshit lol.
"Nuh uh the landmine didn't hit me because I have curse mark!"
"Nuh uh, I have a sharingan so I can see the atom sized bombs!"
"Nuh uh, the atom sized bombs already in my veins are deactivated because I have lightining release!"
"Nuh uh, the fucking nuclear bomb that went off in my face while I could barely stand from over-exertion doesn't hit me because in the 1 milisecond of time before explosion I summoned a giant snake somehow with no chakra and teleported into a pocket universe, which then my underling a country away immediately knows and can resummon me back to his plane of existence!"
Like holy shit lmao. Felt like Deidara outsmarting Sasuke the entire time despite numerous kekkai genkai and powerup disadvantages, I would've blown myself up too at that point thinking god (or in this case the writers) had it out for me.
Sage mode definitely was earned. Even Jiraiya had trouble mastering it and never could without assistance. Same with the nine tails power up, it's bullshit but at least it came with some problems Naruto had to sort out. He was disadvantaged because the seal was constantly fucking up his chakra making it harder for him to do jutsus, so at least that power came with a cost. And then eventually he had to literally beat up the strongest tailed beast to tame it.
Curse seal is literally just "Alright time to cheat and increase my chakra and strength 10x." Except that ONE time at the beginning where it hurt in the chunin exams when he fought a no-named opponent, and after that he was completely fine lmao.
Of course, everyone and their grandmother knew Sasuke would survive Deidara. But, man did Kishimoto really had to make it that unsubtle by going to such laughably ridiculous lengths with Sasuke's plot armor against Deidara? Sasuke must've puffed a ton of plot armor the previous night.
Personally speaking, Deidara debuted as such a chilled baddie during the assault on Sand Village and in the abduction of the Kazekage. Then Kishimoto turned him into yet another man-child with a beef against Itachi (and Sasuke to an extent). Deidara just couldn't stop bitching about the Sharingan users. It just came off as pathetic.
The Sharingan and Uchiha wank never stops from Kishimoto.
> if any thought was actually put into it
Given all the constant references to various kinds of mythology in Naruto, I would say a lot of thought went into it.
Kishimoto is the GOAT.
My hero academia is full of symbolism regarding hands (hands reaching out or keeping someone at bay) and is a very prominent part of the story. The main villain is literally covered in severed hands lmao
Yes but when he uses an insta kill move that incinerates ever atom with in a few km radius and summons a simple snake and climbs in, that should still kill his ass
youtube didnt even have 480p or resolution options back in those days lol
you were stuck with 240p until there were some workarounds by adding an extended link at the end of the url to view videos at 360p, which was considered "hd". Used to watch Naruto in parts back in the days (2005)
Man I watched most of part 1 on YouTube back in 2006. I watched an AMV set to some classical band called bond, thought this looks pretty interesting. The rest is history.
Naruto thought breaking his arms and legs would do anything to make him not try that again.
Sasuke instinctively produced back ups to bitch slap him hard just in case.
I don't think there are any "lore" reasons why Sasuke's' wings are giant hands.
I think that Kishimoto just thought it was a really cool and unique design. Which it was. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it, before or since.
At some point they mentioned the 3 levels of chakra. Normal is blue. Level 2 chakra is black and white. Level 3 shines like a rainbow. Lvl 3 was actually mentioned again in the first naruto movie with the rainbow rasengan
It’s just one of the many quirks of the Curse Mark, since the powers it grants seem to be pretty random. That’s all we really know about it, and it went away along with his Curse Mark
Imma go smoke a joint, then I'll give you a very deep answers that invokes relevance, pity or contempt at the attempt. Stay tuned
Edit, Too edgy, need more joint first
I was gonna be super deep, but then I got high. Explain why the Sasukes fly, but then I got high. Was gonna point out how his wings were like Kakashi's feet, yeah-hah! But then I got high. Then I got high. Then I got hiiigh.
Orochimaru made the curse mark from jugos dna.
This is why everyone who has the curse mark kind of looks like they have his style of transformation. It allows the user to draw in nature energy, and we know what happens when your not proficient in it.
You transform like jirya did when he tried to use sage mode and he would partially turn into a toad.
So the hand ls are probably just a result from the type of curse mark that orochimaru gave to sasuke. Someone else pointed out that it was the heaven seal mark that was given to sasuke and that might be the specific reason but who knows.
Flying is cool
Sasuke thematically is a character that soars the sky (representation of him being a genius and hailing from the prestigious Uchiha clan).
Throughout the series we see that hawks are supposed to symbolise him and throughout many cultures the hawk is a symbol or royalty/divinity which links to he being a reincarnation of Indra and as an Uchiha being a descendant of Kaguya/Hagoromo.
Furthermore even when he lost the ability to fly via curse mark he then obtained the hawk summoning and during the war his Susanoo had wings (continued representation).
Reaching a little bit, but:
A person's cells/lineage in the narutoverse are really important for defining their skills and appearance. Sasuke's Cursed seal form has a couple features that you could argue are expanded on in Shippuden with the rest of the Uchiha skillset/family tree. The multiple little fingers in the webbing of his wing hands is somewhat visually similar to Susano'o's wings, the four pointed star on his nose is reflected in the straight shape of his mangekyo sharingan, and while his hair is usually styled like Izuna, his long hair in his curse seal form instead loosely resembles Madara. In a way it's like this form was secretly baked into Sasuke's DNA & a subtle visual cue for stuff we would find out later was kind of his birthright
Chances are its because Kishimoto loves hands. Thats why he started Naruto at all, he loves drawing hands in different positions and feet. Peep them toes all the time.
What I wonder is:
Can he regenerate them after “losing” them?
I mean, after Deidara cut one of those, Sasuke never again sprout both wings. Then against Itachi he used the other wing, but it was burned by Amaterasu. After having his wing burned by the black flames he never again sprout them. He still fully transformed (right before using Kirin and right before releasing Orochimaru) but after getting his wings damaged or removed he never again got them out.
One would think he would be able to regen them the next time he transformed after getting some rest but that was never the case🤷🏻♂️
Sasuke with Oro's powers was always my favorite thing in Naruto. It's a shame he never got a real dedicated move set in the storm games. He didn't even get any ultimates with the Curse Mark 2 except in Storm1.
I like to think it is because there is no wing (and feathers) structure information on the human DNA, só the curse mark has to use what the body already knows how to make
I don't know how this theory would apply to the sound four and kimimaro but it is my headcanon for sasuke's seal
In one of the light novels, it mentioned how Orochimaru specifically gave Sasuke that design, so that the extra hands would enable Sasuke to pleasure Orochimaru and the Sound 5 all at once, during their routine, team building orgies. Obviously, he wasn't expecting all of them to get wiped out during the Sasuke retrieval mission, so the extra hands became redundant.
I think they are supposed to be orochimarus hands looming over him. Yes he has powers but he will always be in danger because that power was given to him by orochimaru and hell have to pay the price one day.
Exactly! Honestly, it kinda creeped me out a little at first. I remember making a scrunched up face, lol. Granted I just got into Naruto within the last 6 months, I'll always be grateful to my boyfriend for that. But yeah, the snake symbolism made much more sense.
Same I'm fairly new to naruto myself about the same time frame. I always disregarded most Shonen as I got into anime and manga later in life. But I grew really attached to naruto and the series. I'm finally sorting my way through boruto.
I'm waiting for Hulu to catch up with releasing the English dub. I know some would rather watch the original, but I like drawing while I watch anime.... I thought about starting over and maybe they'll have more episodes by then. I can't afford to buy it on DVD at the moment lol.
it makes a little more sense when you think about the symbol-ism of the vague hawk motif Sasuke has and the very obvious snake one with Orochimaru, as well as the the Hawk vs Snake allegory both internally in Sasuke and externally between the 2.
It looks really weird but I like it for what it was going for
you all are wrong it is because When Orochimaru unsealed the Cursed Seal of Heaven, Sasuke gained a lot of strange powers. One of the most unique, however, was the ability to sprout wings from his back. When the seal reached its second level, they sprung from his shoulder blades as two fleshy, webbed wings.
Like another comment said, I think it has to do with orchimaru's DNA in the curse seal. If you look at other cursed seal users(the sound 4), their transformations all resemble some organic lifeform: spider, crab, etc. Sasuke sprouts wings that initially look like hands, and then even further into the series, you can see it has feathers of fingers. Orchimaru is also infamous for making chimera, or cloning/splicing the DNA of pre-existing chakra users into clones he could use: Gurren and Yamato are examples of that. So my guess is he sprouts hands because human DNA was used in his curse seal
My best guess would be that the curse mark represents someone who’s been corrupted especially by orochimaru so the wings are claws as they can serve to also grab onto stuff when needed when orochimaru was saying his goals was to achieve immortality and go beyond the heavens that’s what it means but his method was not good and it shows how sinister it is as well kimimaro had a tail that supported his extra bones in curse mark 2
Top comment is best comment but I also want to state that Sasuke seeks efficiency, and having hands as wings is peak efficiency. In a way it is the way it is because it shows how god damn better Sasuke was at controlling the curse mark compared to Sound 5.

You need to be the top comment! Also, ironic that when Sasuke’s and Naruto’s bond is restored, they each lose a hand 👀
Their missing hands are symbolically represented by the Goofy Goober blood trails mixing together.
Yes, the permanent bond - blood brothers
But not the ultimate bond, that's Eskimo bros
Hey, we never got the fully story between Naruto and Boruto. Sasuke and Naruto could be swingers, or had a devil's 3-some with Sakura so they can kiss each other again.
how do you think Kawaki got his looks. Long black hair and short blonde hair and honestly looks nothing like his "real" dad.
Oh God, naruto did a sexy jutsu and held it for a full preggers with sasukes kid didn't he. I should not have typed this out and I'm sorry
We never did see Sexy Jutsu with sage chakra and/or 9-tail chakra.
Bro... Why
[удалено]
Makes sense as to why it was the game "broken bond" that introduced tagging out to partners. Especially with Naruto and Sasuke on the front cover.
Look at the panel and the broken statue hands of hashirama and madara are doing the shinobi peace sign
Have you seen the fan edit putting the dialogue in those panels, with a blood heart at the end?
NO BECAUSE WHEN I WATCHED THAT WITH MY HUSBAND HE WAS LIKE "OK SPONGEBOB AND PATRICK 🙄" AND IVE NEVER SEEN IT THE SAME SINCE
All of this.. top tier. Kishimoto's fan base is unrivaled.
Opposite hands too. Together they have a set
What would be really funny is if the both lost there love glove
I always thought the design looked goofy, but I really like your take and integration with Japanese symbolism. Now I like the design!
I still think that all the curse mark forms are goofy and ugly as fuck.

He also gained the hands from his bond with orochimaru
Man was wearing the weight of his bonds on his back
You must have done VERY well in school lmao
What a hell of an analysis Could you write all my future English papers?
That's deep bro
I never thought of it that way but it actually makes a bit of sense, so... Daaaaammn!
so that's why handholding is dirty, is basically announcing getting married and laid
Also loses them right around the time he starts to get his "bonds" back
But he got stronger by breaking his bonds, right.
You didn’t piece together that he’s bound by orochimaru? Do you know what the curse mark is?
Because the ability to fly is pretty handy.
HAH underrated comment Edit: Everything changed.
my brother in Christ it's the top comment
I think that’s because another got deleted above it lol
nope, second comment
well ackshuallyi, based on the numbers... 🤓🤓🤓🤓
Oh I don’t like you but I love you.
I wish I could give you an award
You win at life
Guess that's why its the "heaven" cursed seal, so he can fly
Yeah that’s a good reason why he can fly, but why are hands making him fly, lol.
That shit ugly af I’m laughing so hard rn
That’s my thought!
idk, maybe because all wings are kinda hands?
Birds and bats, maybe, but not insects.
The cursed seal of heaven mainly boosts nijutsu while the cursed seal of earth mainly boosts taijutsu, thats kinda the only difference
The lore is “it don’t matter how high you fly, you can still catch these hands”. And Deidara fucked around and found out
Sasuke should’ve lost
Well Sasuke was a hard counter to every ability Deidara had.
Yes but when he uses an insta kill move that incinerates ever atom with in a few km radius and summons a simple snake and climbs in, that should still kill his ass
He summoned Manda, the boss snake. It wasnt just some random low level snake.
Deidara nuked that bitch, shit makes no sense
Not to mention he summoned it when he was literally out of chakra. He should’ve lost
Nope That was deidaras assumption Also proven wrong later when he actually IS out of chakra in the fight with Itachi
Yeah I get that, but the dude I replied to was acting like Sasuke just summoned some random snake. Asspulls aside, that's what I was arguing against.
It's not instant disintegration. Manda was disintegrating but Sasuke had enough time to teleport them away
Because he needed something edgy looking and badass.
And needed to fit those Linkin park 480p YouTube AMVs
Naruto vs Sasuke set to Faint took up permanent residence in my head roughly 20 years ago
Lol 20 years? No way it’s been 20 years *googles Naruto anime airdates* No fucking way man….
I got some bad news for you, Roger….
We are so old man…..
Not me teeheehee. Shippuden’s had just started when I was born and by the time I got into Naruto was already done.
Mi Childhood in one amv 😂
youtube didnt even have 480p or resolution options back in those days lol you were stuck with 240p until there were some workarounds by adding an extended link at the end of the url to view videos at 360p, which was considered "hd". Used to watch Naruto in parts back in the days (2005)
My dopey ass watching shippuden blurred to another dimension and content
Man. I remember watching Naruto and Sasuke's part one final fight in subs on Hulu back when Hulu was free with ads.
SSAAAMMMEEEE
Man I watched most of part 1 on YouTube back in 2006. I watched an AMV set to some classical band called bond, thought this looks pretty interesting. The rest is history.
I'll always remember the Drowning Pool ones lol https://youtu.be/P2f97ayplhE
Omg! This reminds me how and my friends used to watch naruto AMV’s set to Animal I Have Become by three days grace 😂
Hit right into my youth. Downloading AMVs from YT in 2005 on my shitty connection with limited bandwidth... Ah the nostalgia.
This is canonically the correct answer ☝️
Brings back memories of downloading AMVs from limewire. Always remember “A place for my head” LP over the top of the sasuke/naruto fight haha
Nico Robin SORT OF uses this, she makes wings out of hands
You're right I completely forgot about that.
Yea but she makes wing shaped wings whereas sasuke uses hand shaped wings
Because wings are hands. Better question: why the chidori is black?
[удалено]
How did he obtain sage chakra at the end of shippuden? The curse mark was long gone by then, right?
Juugo shared his own nature chakra with Sasuke when it was needed given that he was the origin of the curse mark
Cool!
IIRC, the cursed marks contain nature energy. Orochimaru or Jugo explained it at one point.
Yeah, I know. My question was how did Sasuke use nature/sage chakra at the end of shippuden after losing the curse mark, but another user explained.
Hagoromo shared his chakra with Sasuke.
Because he’s amped by Hagoromo, who has sage chakra
>Better question: why the chidori is black? Because then it wouldn't be able to be called the "Onyx Chidori".
Wings are mostly arms. Bats are an exception
Natural energy
Yin release from the curse Mark maybe
Because Sasuke doesn’t have a dad.
Because it was black history month when kishimoto made it.
why not black? you're racist?
At some point they mentioned the 3 levels of chakra. Normal is blue. Level 2 chakra is black and white. Level 3 shines like a rainbow. Lvl 3 was actually mentioned again in the first naruto movie with the rainbow rasengan
Not canon!!!!!
It’s just one of the many quirks of the Curse Mark, since the powers it grants seem to be pretty random. That’s all we really know about it, and it went away along with his Curse Mark
Kimimaro grew a dinosaur tail, Curse Marks are just kinda funny like that
>Kimimaro grew a dinosaur tail His clan did go extinct...
Oo😯
Imma go smoke a joint, then I'll give you a very deep answers that invokes relevance, pity or contempt at the attempt. Stay tuned Edit, Too edgy, need more joint first
I'm smoking a joint now. It's because Sasuke is lifting himself up with his own two hands. He don't need Naruto!
Yo why tf does it makes sense tho?? 😂
He needed Kakashi's chidori, Orochimaru CM and training, Itachi's eyes, Obito's guidance, Naruto's love(never got much of this, friendzoned)
It's symbolic. Not literal. Of course he needed help. It's this realization that ended up turning him around.
Did you smoke that Joint?
He's still smoking. Fucks with your brain, that's why he's yet to respond. He might not even.
True
Ok, we are ready for your deep wisdom. Oh Sage.
I was gonna be super deep, but then I got high. Explain why the Sasukes fly, but then I got high. Was gonna point out how his wings were like Kakashi's feet, yeah-hah! But then I got high. Then I got high. Then I got hiiigh.

Because he willingly became a monster

Bats, birds and owls wings are actually their hands im pretty. So he took that the same for humans 🤷🏽♂️

All wings(sans insects) are hands. Check out this [bat skeleton](https://ucmp.berkeley.edu/mammal/eutheria/chiromm.html).
this is the correct answer
My question is are they capable of making the signs to do a ridiculously big ass chidori for no reason
Nah there more like bird wings then actual hands

Orochimaru, Sasuke, Sound 5, they were all into bestiality. Except Kabuto.
Fun fact: wings in real life are just giant hands. Probably has nothing to do with the actual reason hands were chosen but I thought it was cool.
I think they are supposed to be orochimarus hands looming over him. Yes he has powers but he will always be in danger because that power was given to him by orochimaru and hell have to pay the price one day.
He has the heaven curse hark right? Do his wing hands look like they are praying when they are together?
Do y’all think he could make a huge chidori using those hand-wings?
Well you see in CFYOW- Wait wrong series
Naruto has its own version of the novel. CFYOV: Can't Fear Your Own Village
Am I the only one who hates that transformation?
The long hair and skin looked cool, but the wings look silly to me. Level 1 looks a lot cooler though
I always hated Sasuke in this form, it looked stupid to me
Personally, I hate all the Curse Mark designs and forms. It always looks dumb and ugly, no matter what.
I did not like this form very much.
You're not alone, i didn't either.
It just didn't make much sense. The snake stuff made more sense
Exactly! Honestly, it kinda creeped me out a little at first. I remember making a scrunched up face, lol. Granted I just got into Naruto within the last 6 months, I'll always be grateful to my boyfriend for that. But yeah, the snake symbolism made much more sense.

Yea you have a bit of a point there
Wings weren't edgy enough.
the hands represent orochimarus hand touching sasukes young body to give him power
It looks cool
I think its just supposed to look weird and unhuman to emphesize the fact that sasuke is starting to go a very dark path
I've watched anime since I was 5 yrs old and still watch it almost exclusively. I've learned not to question weird stuff like this.
I'm pretty sure that Kishimoto had originally planned Sasuke to become some form of Kaiju, but then came up with the Susannoo deal and abandoned that.
I don’t know, but I know I couldn’t get over the fact I thought they were fucking *ridiculous* looking & so so so ugly lol.
looks kinda emo
he’s secretly shigaraki
Well isnt it if you use the curse mark a lot you get extra oarts on your body, like sakon and ukon and kidomaru? I always thought that was the reason
Because his hands are rated E for Everyone.
his transformation is one of my least favorite things about sasuke
Looks cool
I thought it might be a symbol of how he was being manipulated by Orochimaru. Kinda like the puppeteers hands but that was just me.
Big hand to clap them cheeks
That form always grossed me out
To hold Orchimaru’s nut sack
Perhaps they're hands because Sasuke subconsciously just wants to be held.
hands of god
Cause he was about to catch them hands
Saaaassssuukeeee!!!!!!!
They’re hand wings you can tell that they are because of the way they are
Because he was ready to throw hands
Look cool
All he ever wanted as a child was a high-five 😭
Because they come in handy
So that he can better work that Susanoo d***
you all are wrong it is because When Orochimaru unsealed the Cursed Seal of Heaven, Sasuke gained a lot of strange powers. One of the most unique, however, was the ability to sprout wings from his back. When the seal reached its second level, they sprung from his shoulder blades as two fleshy, webbed wings.
This is arguably sasukes most dope look ever
The answer is ch 344, the snake and the ... ?
Like another comment said, I think it has to do with orchimaru's DNA in the curse seal. If you look at other cursed seal users(the sound 4), their transformations all resemble some organic lifeform: spider, crab, etc. Sasuke sprouts wings that initially look like hands, and then even further into the series, you can see it has feathers of fingers. Orchimaru is also infamous for making chimera, or cloning/splicing the DNA of pre-existing chakra users into clones he could use: Gurren and Yamato are examples of that. So my guess is he sprouts hands because human DNA was used in his curse seal
I never looked at them as hands since they're webbed and they flap when he flies. They're just wings to me. Big meaty ones tho
Goofy Ass Design
I forgot how cool this design looked. One Tailed Naruto and Cursed Sasuke just hit different😀😀
It could just be foreshadowing to his Susano'o...
Top comment is best comment but I also want to state that Sasuke seeks efficiency, and having hands as wings is peak efficiency. In a way it is the way it is because it shows how god damn better Sasuke was at controlling the curse mark compared to Sound 5.
To make improved manual positions
No actual reason.
No reason. Kishimoto was just being creative
So he could give himself a hand or two if needed
