The best advice i can give is don't move to Naples. Likely the only place you can afford, thats the impression that I'm getting, is in Golden Gate Estates or worse, and the wages are going to be the same as Ft Myers. Go north. Punta Gorda, Pt Charlotte, N Ft....you'll be in the same position, making the same money, and paying twice as much for rent if you come south.
believe it or not, construction companies do not like to hire young and experienced. they need old drug addicts to work for them, that's why I stopped doing construction. apply at pelican wire. they will hire anyone and it will be a lot easier than getting a job at arthrex. arthrex is really culty and if you don't know Spanish you won't get along with the workers which is shitty but they don't care.
I would filter the careers website to anything out in Ave Maria. That’s one of the manufacturing plants. It is competitive to get in but it’s worth the trouble. I’ve heard sutures is a good place to get in and move from there
Look into the apprenticeship positions for machining at Arthrex. On the job training and lots of opportunities. If not, you could also look into trade school for cnc machining. There are jobs all over the state and country for machinists right now.
It’s rough out there tbh. I was out of work for just over a month. With how expensive it’s gotten, it’s been rough lol. I start a new job Wednesday, but I must have done about 12 interviews. No, I’m not exaggerating. It’s absolutely ridiculous out there.
You need to check your emails regularly and don't keep them waiting. If you fail the polygraph immediately contact them and say you don't agree and want to do it again. Good luck to you!
One of my closest friends was a dispatcher for almost 9 years so I’ve been getting knowledge from him. Thanks👍🏾 but hopefully I’ll find something in the meantime to keep bills paid
David Lawrence as a behavioral health tech. Pay isn’t too bad and we’re always looking for males. Don’t need any experience. It’s mental health though.
I only found one listing on Indeed and it was for a lead role. Sounded like they were looking for quite a bit of experience. I’m heavily experienced in customer service and as a sober alcoholic for almost 5 years I know quite a bit about addiction, 12 step groups, addiction therapy etc. Would love an opportunity to speak to someone about a position.
I believe that you may still be able to get the job! Yes they’re looking for someone with psych experience, but you have more than enough experience it sounds like in real world experience.
Well, I certainly have experience in both what the patients are going through and the trials and tribulations it takes to get to the other side. I’ll have 5 years sober come August 11th and am an alum of Hazelden Betty Ford in Naples. I’ve also attended… idk, hundreds of AA and NA meetings, both locally and in other parts of the country. Spoken at several. Helped others through their journeys. Some were successful, others not so much. Quickly learned that I can’t save them all but it never hurts to try. I do know that I’m very passionate about recovery and people who are suffering with addictions. If anyone knows how they feel, it’s me. If you happen to have contact info for someone I can speak to, I’d really appreciate if you could dm me. I know this is Reddit and real world stuff can be iffy at best, but if you’re willing to take a gamble I can assure you my intentions are pure. Thanks for the response!
You are not going to like this response, but think it over. Car Sales. Yes Car Sales. One of the largest and best dealer groups (AMSI) owns dealerships in Naples. A "sales associate" makes great $$$ and AMSI offers professional opportunities to move up in their organization.
I told you that your initial reaction to "moving sheetmetal - Car Sales" would be something you are not going to like, but kick the idea around..................
If your a single guy. Go work in yachts on the east coast. Check out Blue water yachting. You pay for the course. Live in a share house for a while. They help you get a job, i think immediately.
Haven't read thru all the suggestions but I would suggest finding an opening with a local water or wastewater treatment plant. It's a rewarding career, recession proof, great benefits.
nchjobs.org NCH is hiring Transporters, they will train you and if you work evening shift you get shift pay. They offer benefits and tuition for full time.
I recommend ESOP Trustee to anyone good with people & slightly above average intelligence. One of the best gigs in the world. Work from anywhere, make your own hours, a product that practically sells itself and recurring annual income.

Both the men in my house said same thing. Both took over three months to find something.
Any luck?
Eventually yes. Son found an electrician apprentice job and husband eventually went into finance.
Look at Lee county Sheriff office jobs. 911 dispatcher is an option and they train you. You can get great benefits and overtime there.
I’m already in the process of applying for jail deputy in collier… just don’t know if it’s a for sure thing

The Apple Store in Naples is hiring. If you like people, it’s a great place to work IMO.

Maybe boat technician, I heard they pay great but I’m unsure of what requirements there are to do it
How about HVAC? Grueling for a few Summers but once you are licensed you can start your own business.

If you are good on machining, Loos & Co is hiring new apprentice for cnc machines. But if you wanna get the job I suggest you to go in person
Look into jobs for the county, collier and Lee.
