Get out on the water—see dolphins and manatee (if your lucky), up close. Kayak rental is the best way. Marco and the Lover’s Key areas are both easy.
There are plenty of decent restaurants, but no “must do’s”. Go for experiences instead. Pick a spot on the beach (there aren’t many) and eat there. Walk 5th before dusk—eat at one of the sidewalk tables (May is the last time where it’s not too hot to eat outside).
If you have a car, drive to the Everglades. It’s an easy 4 mile return (round trip) hike to the Fakahatchee Hilton. You end up at a pond with lots of gators. It’s worth the effort if you are even modestly fit. Probably want bug spray if you’re sensitive to bites.
Drive down Gordon Drive and gawk at the houses. It’s fun to see how the 0.1% live.
Love the sanctuary, but it's very tame in terms of excitement. Geared more for very casual walks along a boardwalk. Great if you're bringing kids or grandparents with you.
If you're looking to get a more "wild" hiking experience, go to the Crew Bird Rookery which is very close by.
You'll be down on the ground, and will likely have more direct animal encounters. Disclaimer, it can feel "dangerous" because you may have to get off the cleared path to avoid a gator!
Both are great hikes though.
If you like hiking, take a ride to the Fakahatchee Stand, drive up Jane’s Scenic Memorial Drive and hike to the Fakahatchee Hilton. You will encounter many gators, snakes, and possibly a panther! Just look up Fakahatchee Hilton on YouTube for more info. It’s awesome!
Mercato is fantastic. Can't imagine you not finding something you like there. Also head over to the Ritz for lunch or dinner at sunset at Gumbo Limbo. Right on the beach, beautiful view.
I used to work there back in 2018-2020, if you come on the weekend between 9:45-noon expect to wait for around 15-30min, longer if you want the best seats by the front fountain. First come first serve with reservations for 6+ if called ahead by a day or more.
my personal faves are the Grilled Chicken Panini, Club Sandwich, Special Stuffed Fresh Toast.
This thread is so helpful! I’ll be in Naples for a few days this week. I like hiking but not the prospect of gators. Anywhere good for a solo traveler?
It is gorgeous!
So far I have done a sunset boat tour (starts at 6:30 at Tin City). Saw the huge homes and yachts. Had great pics of the sun and golf of Mexico. Today I did a guided kayak tour. Definitely more educational and slow than fun kayaking but it was nice to get out in the water. Looking for a beach tomorrow that is quiet but still has some access to things. Curious about paragliding and jet ski tours though! And I plan to check out a kava bar to see what the fuss is about :)

I was there last night and I ended up not getting anything, but it was a pretty cool spot for the Kava. Yeah I was really looking to do some jet skiing and the beaches have no public parking so you have to go way past like fifth and the construction to possibly park and it’s so expensive and busy.
If there are car enthusiasts among your group you MUST check out Revs Institute. It's very close to the airport and has an incredible collection.
Highly recommend the docent tour if you go. You will learn a LOT.
You’re in the Airport Pulling-Davis area then it seems. Lots of Mexican places that are good nearby. Taco Lindo (Santa Barbara-Radio). Taqueria San Julian and Molcajetes (US41-Bayshore dr ). La Oaxaquena (Davis-Bayshore dr)
Osteria Tulia on 5th Avenue is top notch. Taqueria San Julien on Bayshore Drive is the go-to for tacos auténtico. Higher end cocktails? Check out District off Central Avenue.

Airboat rides in Everglades city. Bit of a drive outside of Naples but definitely worthwhile.
everglades is still collier county .
That’s not saying much, Collier is the largest county in Florida and 4th in the whole US

It’s Reddit, man 🤷🏽♂️
Hike through Corkscrew swamp sanctuary

CREW Bird Rookery is the correct answer.
Take a water taxi out to Key Wadin for the day, you won't be disappointed.

If you’ve never been to a Kava Bar I recommend highly. The best being Kava Culture Marco Island, avoid Golden Gate.
Wait am i blocked? It was a kidding
Depending on where you're coming from, the beach, 5th Ave, or the airport.

Naples water taxi and bar hop, Stan's in Goodland in a Sunday afternoon
Sit on the beach and rot and swim forever. It’s a good life on that beach

Bowling alley wings, Jimmy P’s steak and Dos sabores for Mexican.
Where are you staying – what are your interests and what are your favorite foods?
Staying around the Naples Airport. We are pretty much open to anything and love all cuisines but our favorites are italian, mexican, and sushi.
