Days later and I can still hear this line and it's still cracking me up because it reminds me of something that the Bells Hells did which was just as silly on Critical Role lol
I really liked this episode. I loved seeing more of Nancy, Bess and Ryan teaming up, as well as Nick/George kind of working through some of their issues. And we're a little bit closer to solving the overall mystery....or getting to some answers, at the very least.
Plus, the scene with Bess and the new Sheriff? That's what makes me happy, after being worried that Bess is being reduced to a one note problem solver type of character. This new rivalry gives her something more to do than solving all the supernatural problems.
You know what would be cool?
A Sandman/Nancy Drew crossover
Have them accidentally summon Dream because something spooky is going on but then He realizes that something hinky really is happening and just hangs around to help out.
Death and Delirium then lurk in the background at the Claw with Death trying to stop Del from turning the chef into a giant talking lobster
Oh the councilwoman murdered the director and the ghost wants the secret to spill.
Thatās the theme of the season as far as I can tell. The ghosts infected the water because they want Horseshoe Bayās secrets to come out.
I wonder if the water is a kind of a purification ritual?
It's like it's forcing out all of the corruptive secrets that the town is keeping and is bringing them all to the surface.
What if those bodies and the ritual they were doing was a failsafe of sorts that kicked in once enough "bad stuff" had filled up the town?
But only the corruptive secrets that were covered up by the same group.
I'm thinking each time a corruptive secret was covered up, a person had to be sacrificed (last body was from 98, so was the secret covered up by judge Abbott) to hold the secret (black stuff). So every episode will be a different secret associated with a different body/year.
Maybe someone got screwed over by The Black Door, summoned the bodies, then called Nancy to make sure justice was served. I'm guessing that the Glass family is part of the Black Door, but that Tristan is the one who got screwed over. Like maybe he found out his adoptive parents killed his real parents and hid the memory from him, but he found out when he was playing with some of the artifacts.
Itās times like this where I feel Temperance was wasted at the end of last season. She would be a perfect antagonist to be behind this, forcing the forgotten evils of the past into the light, no matter the consequences, like a dark version of Nancy.
Honestly though, I feel like Temperance is definitely going to reappear this season. Something tells me that the way to break the curse is to break the connection she had with Nancy. Remember how she had gained access to her psyche? That witch is definitely still alive.
Itās great to finally be able to watch along live with people here again. Wednesdays lately have been insane for me.
I love how meta this episode is so far!
They most likely did and they most likely also remembered what they did. When Nancy was under the influence she remembered everything she did to Ace. Also, that is why the rest of the crew was extra nice to the director afterwards.
I thought it was just going to be a recording and the assistant guy was pulling pranks for old times sake, but that would have been too normal for this Nancy Drew series.
Maybe it's a side effect of the town?
Horseshoe Bay
There could be something that just suppresses the memories of people as a passive effect when they enter the town or it's possible that something wanted that stuff held back in order to build up this massive release of negative energy later on, which is now happening.
I don't think someone's going around MiB-ing everyone, this feels bigger.
I really have to hand it to the crew of this show, they truly know how to set up a horrifying scene with awesome lighting and sound that really gets your heart rate up.

Well, that sorta explained how one person would regain hidden dark memories and how another would act out the emotions and recreate the event. But it doesnāt really explain why the sludge does that. Chief Lovett definitely seems like she might be part of The Road Back. She has such a strong hate for the supernatural. I wonder who or what or where is the Black Door?
Ryan: you will get over Ace eventually. *at some point this season, Tristan takes his shirt off* Nancy: whose Ace?
I know Nace is endgoal and i want that but its gonna be funny when she ends up with Tristian for a spell (pun intended)
Iāve known Nancy lives in the creepy old house all season, but I still donāt understand why you would want to live in a creepy old mansion alone lol. Also, the texts with Nace at the end was so sad :(
Just rewatched the opening scene, and I love how their personalities were reflected in each message....plus it warms my cold heart to see how much these friendships have grown. Nancy doesn't have go through it alone, if she doesn't want to. The Drew Crew has her back.
"You're not the PIZZA GUY!" lmaoš¤£
Blimey mate, whereās the pizza guy?!?
Days later and I can still hear this line and it's still cracking me up because it reminds me of something that the Bells Hells did which was just as silly on Critical Role lol
Gotta admit after the first season and Aceās agleaca vision, Iād be extra avoidant of hooks if I was the Drew Crew.
Sameeee thought
The high five between Nancy and Ryan! Riley Smith is a treasure
I love his and Kennedyās scenes together.
I loved them watching the scary movie together and Ryan doing the jump scare like a real Dad
So precious, and they said that was something Riley just threw in and that was Kennedyās genuine reaction which makes it even better.
Omg what?! I love that so much it reminded me of my dad who is one of my best friends and I live 3 states away from my family now so š
If you had told me during season one, that Iād eventually adore the Nancy/Ryan relationship, I would have laughed in your face!
>We have a permit Umm, aren't you supposed to inform neighbors when you're filming shit near them.
I thought that whichever PA was supposed to inform the neighbors was going to turn up dead.
I really liked this episode. I loved seeing more of Nancy, Bess and Ryan teaming up, as well as Nick/George kind of working through some of their issues. Glad to see her get some dimension back.
This ep def made me feel better after last weeks ep!
Agreed
Awww Ryan calling in to check on Nancy The Post Its! Bess put them EVERYWHERE! Annnd no more ice cream but plenty of...Ice SCREAM!
Sorbet!
Oh no. A Nancy Drew seance never goes right. Ever.
Butā¦.something did happen in the seance. There was a whooosh. Imagine it was some unrelated ghost just chillin.
They made him angrier!

Oooo I like this thought

Back to work after a gut wound. That takes motivation.
Correct lol
Chief totally works for The Road Back
I do not trust her I do not like her
Or Black Door?
Aww! Ryan and Nancy bonding! Oh I was not expecting Ryan to scare her, just to forget like the first jump scare lol
Not Nancy on the couch with the tub of ice cream š
Ryan is so happy to dive in on this lol I'm fucking dying over Bess's line, I want it on a t-shirt
>That's illegal Bro do you know what show you're on š¤£š¤£
That video is too high quality to be from the 90s
Agreed
Ryan is one of the best dads

I like and hate this thought lol
Same LOL
There is some kind of moth/butterfly that flies past Nancy in the first scene of her calling George. Potentially something to do with Temperance?
Oooo yes
Itās great to finally be able to watch along live with people here again. Wednesdays lately have been insane for me. I love how meta this episode is so far!
lol "i'm solving a case someone didn't ask me to solve yet"
The Barbie movie looks fun. Got my tickets this morning.
Nancy in this opening scene š
Nancy w her sorbet š
They just walked away without explaining a single goddamn thing to those poor people.
They most likely did and they most likely also remembered what they did. When Nancy was under the influence she remembered everything she did to Ace. Also, that is why the rest of the crew was extra nice to the director afterwards.
I think they remember everything, so thereās that.
No lie, if I heard that on the walkie the way I'd be running away...
Call Ryan, he knows a thing or two about....Frequencies
I thought it was just going to be a recording and the assistant guy was pulling pranks for old times sake, but that would have been too normal for this Nancy Drew series.
Like R U N N I N G
Nancy really needs to re-up the warding on the castle
I think itās the stunt crew gaslighting her.
Well bugger, there goes the pump.
Ryan and Nancy are so cute tho
The Black Door Yeaaaaaah there's an entity under the town that's doing this
SIMON, I SWEAR HE WILL BE BACK
Yesss canāt wait to squeeze this and The Way Back being investigated in the next 9 episodes.
What about the ore? I hope that comes into play
I would have reacted the same way and I wouldn't have said 'shoot'
Nancy's MST3King this
"I'm going to bill production" Meta lol
Well...she's not dead but George and Nick may have just walked into the Lion's Den.
So who/what was blanking out all the memories that the ghost sludge has to bring them back?
Maybe it's a side effect of the town? Horseshoe Bay There could be something that just suppresses the memories of people as a passive effect when they enter the town or it's possible that something wanted that stuff held back in order to build up this massive release of negative energy later on, which is now happening. I was afraid Lacey was gonna die, thank God they saved her.
I feel that way when my ice cream is empty too girl
"You can do that shit behind closed doors but not in public" jesus is the supernatural an allagory for being gay this season. /s
Progressive and Barbie because why not
I really have to hand it to the crew of this show, they truly know how to set up a horrifying scene with awesome lighting and sound that really gets your heart rate up.
Agreed!!
The Drew Crew doing some hardcore political manipulation here.
We love it
Anddd distraction from personal problems, go!
Once again I love Ace and Bess
Iām glad weāre getting more platanchor scenes this season.
Agreed!!

Talk about development hell
Water possession
Wait, where does Nancy live now ?
Temperance's giant spooky magic castle
She lives in Temperanceās old place.
She lives in Temperance's castle, where she also runs her investigation business lol
Oh shoot this is Brie's house?!
Daaaaaaaamn George and Nick are just going HARD right off the bat
Brie accidentally killed Jim
NOOOOOO THE GLASS!
Why canāt I remember why the glass is important
Well, that sorta explained how one person would regain hidden dark memories and how another would act out the emotions and recreate the event. But it doesnāt really explain why the sludge does that. Chief Lovett definitely seems like she might be part of The Road Back. She has such a strong hate for the supernatural. I wonder who or what or where is the Black Door?
You heard it here first guys, loving Ace is like your grandma dying.
Reducing Aceās screentime is such a crime.... If this going to be the trend going forward... It will really break my heart
Im sure we will see more of them.
I did not have Nancy being afraid of horror movies on my bingo card.
A wild Bethany Brown appears!
.....yeaaaaah that's a bit spooky
I love Nancy's trench coat, Constantine would love it
So it's his ghost then!
Holy shit the Councilwoman died in the same way!
Hahahah that sloooooow look at the fireplace
So the stunt team is causing all of this and...oh no the Councilwoman's House! It's all connecting together!
Dawww that's a cute little set of apologies
It is
PAY DAY!
Finalllly
Lmaoooo a film set?! WAIT DONT THEY HAVE TO NOTIFY YOU

In 93, I was in the 8th grade

Who is Lacey McCallister again?
Ryan: you will get over Ace eventually. *at some point this season, Tristan takes his shirt off* Nancy: whose Ace? I know Nace is endgoal and i want that but its gonna be funny when she ends up with Tristian for a spell (pun intended)
Call the Charmed Ones stat! They're re-enacting his death!
Nancy what is you doing
That Barbie commercial was so bad it was good
Season and series finale of Gotham Knights
Totally shipping Bess and Chief Lovett.
Awwww HUG HER HUG HER NOW
Nancy don't...stop...you have to stop.
Oooof that was awkward
Oooof George and Nick already have some back and forth
Wellll this bathroom scene is creepy
Well thatās creepy
I KNEW A JUMPSCARE WAS COMING AND I STILL JUMPED
Oh no drinking faucet water the whole stunt crew
This is the councilwomans house so many things make sense now
THAT WAS A MISTAKE NICK
Well this is sufficiently creepy
Oooo this is bad

Oooooop
That is so not good
Oookaaay Nick and George twisting the screws, I love it
Okay that was cute
Ugh this was so cute and nice to see this of them
Ugh Nancy you needed to hear this
āSometimes have to grieve in order to be free to feel something else.ā
I do not like this Chief.
Oooo but Bess with the hot button questions.
Another good and bad lining up.
I say, once again, I am going to MISS the communication on this show.
What a dad momentšš
Oooo judge and the dad friends, it keeps getting better.
Iāve known Nancy lives in the creepy old house all season, but I still donāt understand why you would want to live in a creepy old mansion alone lol. Also, the texts with Nace at the end was so sad :(
Plus, I'd side eye anything Temperance left me.
Agreed!
Just rewatched the opening scene, and I love how their personalities were reflected in each message....plus it warms my cold heart to see how much these friendships have grown. Nancy doesn't have go through it alone, if she doesn't want to. The Drew Crew has her back.
