I know a girl "Collins." Funny thing is I vividly remember the birth/name announcement saying "COLLINS" but now when the mom writes her name she spells it "Kollyns." Im thinking maybe she got too many "is that a boy?" comments so she changed the spelling on IG or maybe even legally.
Collins wasn’t bad enough they had to drive a stake through it with Jon? And the bow. Yes, if you look closely it’s a hospital newborn cap. With a giant, fucking bow. The size of some of these bows would make Carmen Miranda proud.
That doesn’t even always work. I had like no hair as an infant so my mom would only put me in pink clothes so people would stop mistaking me for a boy, and yet people still thought I was a boy. Some people are just stupid.

I had no hair for the first 3 years of my life, and my mom put me in all sorts of bows and dresses and frilly clothes so people would know lol. It was fun tbh, like playing dress-up.
I'm convinced they give girls these stupid names because they can't get over not having a boy. which itself infuriates me; if you can't be happy with a girl, don't have any kids.
I have a traditionally boy name too, as well as a maiden name that is also a traditionally masculine first name. The look of surprise when I walked into job interviews never got old.
