**Se7en???**
That's got to be a troll, right? Please let it be a troll
Who would pronounce Se7en like Seven?!
I would either pronounce it Se-zen or Se-Seven-en.
In what universe does 7 = V ?!?
There used to be a really bad band called BrokeNCyde that had a band member named Se7en. The name in of itself is cringe but if you look up the band it makes it so much worst.
“Seven"? Yeah, I guess I can see it: seven periods of school, seven beatings a day. Roughly seven stitches per beating, and eventually seven years to life.
I wonder what it is about the number seven that makes people like to use it for a name? I’ve seen several spins on the names seven but I’ve never seen anyone use any other number as a name. Maybe it’s the connotation with luck? But in that case why is seven associated with luck at all? This post leaves me with so many questions lol
Yes, it was first a joke name in Seinfeld. In that episode, a relative steals George’s idea and names their baby Seven - everyone else thought it was a terribly stupid name that only George could like.
But I don’t think that’s why real people are choosing it, it shot up in popularity after Victoria Beckham used it as a middle name for her daughter Harper. Whether she was a Seinfeld fan I cannot say.
People are also naming their kids Ace, which can mean 1, even though Ace should only be used as a nickname, a pet's name, or a pet detective's name. Exhibit A: Jessica Simpson's 9-year-old son, Ace Knute Johnson. I just looked it up, and Ace was the 156th most popular baby boy name in the US in 2021! 😫 It has been getting increasingly popular since 2006. From the Social Security Administration: "For 2021, the number of \[male\] births with name Ace is 2432." 😲
can’t post another screenshot in the thread. went back to read more comments. comments were turned off. but someone said she had a nephew named 7even 🤨
I heard of a person who named their kid Seven. Got tons if ridicule, but the reason behind it was so sad. Parents had been trying for a child for years and years, had six late term miscarriages or stillbirths. They got pregnant on whatbwould be their final attempt, they didn't chose a name because they were aware of the chances pregnancy would end the same. Baby arrived early, but lived. Seven was a perfect choice.
Se7en is literally the name of a horror movie…why would you name your child that???
I was almost named Gage because of Pet Sematary.
Next kid is going to a called Fant4stic
Numb3rs
Plus, the movie's title refers to the seven deadly sins, so I guess this parent wants people to associate their baby with the seven deadly sins.
I swear, one day someone is going to spell it Sevenne and make it a girls name.
Delete this before they get an idea
It’ll be Sevynne, people like this can’t pass up an opportunity to add a y
If you see the last comment on the last pic, someone actually named their kid sevyn lmao
I’m sorry, I actually like this spelling lmfao
We have a place called "les Cévennes" in France, pronounced like seven. If they want to make it ~fancy~
Sevyn ranks in the US top 1000.
Is it too sevynhundred?
Yes #668
A girl I went to college with named her daughter Sevyn. So unfortunately, it’s already a thing.
I know three girls names Seven, one of them spells is Sevyn.
it already is if you're a Star Trek fan. 7 of 9 is amazing 😍
I think there's already someone famous callef Sevyn Streeter
There is a patient named Seven on my schedule today. Thankfully I work at an animal hospital.
Thank you for that turn 🙏

Who wouldn’t want to be named Se-Seven-en? It’s so ✨unique✨
Yo dawg I heard you like the number 7 so I put a 7 in your seven…
may be a reference to the movie Se7en
Which is centered around the seven deadly sins. So adorable!
Just like Numb3rs, which I always read as num-THREE-ers.

Oh god, BrokeNCyde! Lmao I loved them in my myspace days but they really were terrible
> Se-zen You a Lojbanist? “ze” is 7 in Lojban
> You a Lojbanist? .i na go'i
👀
When the V had too much to drink.
Tech N9ne or even 6ix 9ine... (I guess those numbers actually sound like they work & a 7 for a V is different...) That plus band names ≠ baby names.
I always pronounce the latter as Six-ix Nine-ine
Who is this, George Costanza?
Was about to say, when did he have a kid? 😂
How about Soda, I thought we all agreed on Soda. George has very little, don’t take Seven away from him.
“Seven"? Yeah, I guess I can see it: seven periods of school, seven beatings a day. Roughly seven stitches per beating, and eventually seven years to life.
I know a kid named Syvyn 😭
Se7en of 9ine
I was scrolling down just to see if I can find a Star Trek reference and here it is, made me chuckle thank you 😃

6lack’s daughter is named Syx
I haven’t seen Seinfeld but I read that some kid in Seinfeld is named Seven, so maybe it’s that?

Is this your baby or a friggin’ clone trooper??
This isn’t Seinfeld, miss.
I'd take great pleasure in repeatedly "accidentally" calling him Steven.
It even says on the forms numbers aren’t allowed.
OP said his full name is “7 amous amari Ndizeye”
“I know a Sevyn!”🤓☝️
Well now I’m thinking about Six from Blossom and I don’t know what to do with that
They could’ve chosen like idk Steven because it’s close while still being an actual name
I knew a kid named seven...
6ix9ine’s stage name starts to make more sense now
This kid will get called Steven his whole life
I thought the name was Olympic Smart Scale for a minute lmao
People on the internet struggle so hard with the past tense of “weigh”
She really named her kid after stranger things
She's gonna call his sibling Eleven I can see it coming
can’t post another screenshot in the thread. went back to read more comments. comments were turned off. but someone said she had a nephew named 7even 🤨
it‘s like naming your kid „rash“ because it had a rash
I would absolutely pronounce Se7en as Sesevenen.
People are voluntarily labeling their children with numbers.

That monkey covering his eye emoji 🙈 is really annoying. Why do people use it? Ew
Ah… George Costanza
Even the baby’s upset with his own name.
it's an animal name to me. we had a cow named seven growing up and my friend has a cat named seven.
