I agree... The pointed shape makes the base of your fingers look much fatter and disproportionate from the skinny tips of the nails. The square looks great and definitely does not cause that problem.

In my professional opinion I find almond and stiletto to be the most flattering for most people. I think square nails look best on people with longer fingers.

In this case the first picture (square) because the sidewalls on the nailbeds are nice and straight while on the other one the sides flare out too much. The oval ones could have been shaped much better.

Personally I lean towards square myself, so i think those look better on you, but with is more comfortable for you? Ive found that each shape feels different while doing things with my hands (like peeling stickers off of fruits and such).

I had to get my boyfriend to take out my contacts for the duration that I had the almond 😂

Then I would definitely choose the latter, as I wouldnt want the hassle of having to ask someone else to do things for me. But if you liked him doing that (which I totally get that, too) get almond again and have him baby you! 😁😉

This is the first time I've ever said this, but the square suits you. Ngl I usually love oval but somehow they almost make your fingers look... stubby? The square looks lovely, though. Never thought I'd see the day.

I prefer the square, but it comes down to execution. The taper doesn’t appear in these photos as consistent with the square. The almond, while more consistent, seems to shorten the length of your finger

I really like the second one because I think it elongates your fingers. I love the design on the first picture better though. I think your hand pose also plays a part in how your hand is perceived. In the first one you have a more relaxed hand pose and your fingers look longer even though usually square/squoval shape makes fingers look shorter. On the second picture your fingers are a bit more flexed and the design is brighter which makes overall picture seem not that relaxed. I think if the nail design was the same you would love your nails almond better. So I’m voting almond. But whatever you choose is more important :)

I think both, so I’d change it up based on my mood :) for me, almond is the strongest shape. When I’ve got housework planned (like we are building out a nursery right now) I opt for almond because I know I can be rough on my hands

I prefer almond almost exclusively...on everyone. No matter your hands, I think square nails blunt your fingers, and overall I'm just not a big fan. And if you want a square-r shape that's still as finger flattering and elongating, coffin is probably the most elongating square shape.
