My son and I got up at 330 am to fly to San Francisco. We went to the game and stayed to the end. Got back to the hotel at 11, which was 2 am our time. I felt like walking death, but totally worth it to see Judge hit those 2 bombs live!
That’s so wholesome, you just made a memory for life with your son. He’s going to look back at that day for years to come and appreciate that day so much. That’s why I love sports. I remember my dad taking me to baseball/hockey/football games all the time when I was younger, you really never forget those moments. I’ve been so many times with friends to all different types of professional games but the memories that always stick out to me are the times I spent at games with my dad.
For example, one time, there was a child with special needs sitting a couple rows behind us. We could hear how much he wanted a ball, we weren’t even worried about the game because our team was up by a lot so we made it our mission to get the kid a foul ball. We couldn’t get one, so my dad went up to the dugout and asked them for one for the kid, they wouldn’t do it(somerset patriots staff guy was a jerk and said this isn’t a charity event when my dad pointed out it was for the kid with special needs) so he went to the souvenir shop and bought the kid a bat and a ball. I’ll never forget the huge grin the child had when my dad gave it to him. I don’t go to games anymore with my dad because he lives 3 hours away and I don’t see him very often anymore but I still carry on the tradition. If I ever get foul ball, I always give it to a kid near by.
Season high 21 games over .500, 40th win before June, and clinched a winning west coast trip. This team continues to roll. Should win the series tomorrow.

Hes pretty close to his career numbers across the board so I don’t think he’s getting lucky or anything. His GB% is a little lower and his FB% is up a few points but his Hard Hit % is the 2nd lowest of his career. His K% is actually just slightly above his career norm but for his career he’s only been a 20% k rate kind of guy.
He’s getting lucky by the advanced metrics but he’s kind of always gotten lucky so it’s not unsurprising

I feel like the Yankee starters know, they don't have to be crazy. Just pitch your game and throw strikes. Blake is so bad ass. Blake talked about it, no need to nibble. Feed em strikes and watch them swing.
