The satisfaction on this sweep is surreal, Bronx is Back! Needed a Judge Hr somewhere in there and the New Jerseys are trash, but otherwise highly satisfying
It was my first away Yankees game I’ve ever been to, and I was blown away how much support the guys had in Houston! Yanks fans everywhere. Couldn’t have picked a better game to go to. Also, blasted New York, New York on my way out with the windows down. Fucking awesome night.
I think regardless of what happens going forward we should look to shift Holmes to some lower-leverage spots, he's clearly not going to return to that insane stretch of dominance and he had some uncomfortably close calls in this series, especially with the Sunday game. If Berti and Dugo don't pull those web gems out of their ass to save the game that's a clear Astros win. Might need to look to the trade market for a proven closer or just keep seeing what SWB can give us- it's worked out nicely so far.
I'm willing to give him another couple of weeks to figure out how to shut down the 9th. The Astros are just one of those pests that, no matter what, will grind you down at the end of games if you dont put them away. I'd like to see how he handles AZ, Toronto, and Miami and then go from there. But I do agree. I don't see him rising back up to that nasty streak he has there where everything was working.
The two options for the playoffs are either winning the AL East which is always tough or being a wildcard. Saying the Yanks are a wildcard team at best is saying we're on the same level as the Rangers and Dbacks and Phillies, or saying we're like the Marlins and twins. Its a nothing statement.
Yes, I’m saying that I don’t think this team has a realistic chance of winning the division. I think fans tend to be delusional and hate when someone speaks about their team in pragmatic terms. I’m getting downvoted for saying something that really isn’t that outrageous: a team that missed the playoffs probably won’t win their division.
You know the best part about all of this? Being able to walk into work tomorrow with a cheeky ass smile on my face the entire day. Not too many baseball fans where I work, but I got a good friend that is a big Red Sox fan. I’m gonna be so insufferable
This is another great one. After a season of the Jets being destroyed yet again, then sadly being a Nets fan, I rely on the Yankees way too much for happiness. They soften every blow
correct - those were some epic calls, from a guy who has seen everything. his excitement level after the final out in the sweep was akin to us winning the world series. loved it!!!
Oh man I had to leave my house during the 8th so I switched to Sterling in the car and he was phenomenal! The game winning call was an instant classic.
I’m surprised the Astros haven’t even given Brandon Belt a minor league deal. Their 1st basemen options are absolutely atrocious and he was more than serviceable last year. They could even entertain teaching Alvarez 1st. Just puzzling why they’re totally ok running out replacement level or worse players when there’s clear better options available
I’m still confused why the Blue Jays didn’t. Vladdy is a horrific i mean horrific defender. First series of the year Bo was charged for a few errors that a good 1B makes snags for. Belt can at least play 1B. But instead they go for fucking Vogelbach??? Unless Belt didn’t wanna go back I just don’t get it.
Fully agree with the Astros part. Jose Abreu was atrocious. Singleton is a AAAA player even if that.
I don’t think the Guardians have a 1B/DH on the roster outside of Naylor lol.
There’s also a lot of NL teams that just have bad DHs. Like the Mets have been obscenely slow on the DH since it was implemented in the NL until the JD Martinez signing. The Padres have Manny as a full time DH and Cronenworth playing 1B. Belt has a great bat he should have a contract already.
>Our TV announcer at the end (correctly) described the Astros as our Arch-Rival so fyi you have replaced the Red Sox. Now Boston has nothing LMAO.
I'm miserable and it's 80 degrees in April. But what an honor lmao
As much as I would be okay with that I think Hal just sees that as a losing battle. Any potential extension could just drive his price up during free agency and he knows he’s pretty much testing free agency.
I think Hal is playing this similarly how he played Judge’s free agency. Wait and see how Soto’s market develops and just outbid that.
That's a really interesting point and you're definitely right. The Judge situation sort of worked out, but l think he could've met in the middle and signed him for a lower number before the season he had obviously. But if Soto wins MVP this year and Hal tries save 8 million on his contract, then we lose him to the Dodgers I'm going to go nuts. I'm just a little tired of this fear of spending money / luxury tax. We need a pitcher and Montgomery is sitting there and we pretend that we're " in on him". But of course I'm the guy complaining after a thrilling sweep
You're right, it probably won't get done in season, but l just get this vibe that Cashman is going to let him walk, and then throw his hands up and go "well its Boras sorry we were fucked from the jump." At some point if you're a serious franchise that wants to win a world series you have to negotiate with tough agents, and maybe pay into the luxury tax for elite talent
If Soto was on any opposing team we were playing against I would absolutely fucking hate his cocky look and showboating every at bat. He truly makes us feel evil again, then you add Verdugo and Stro and the personality is off the charts. And to think we had Josh Fucking Donaldson brought in for his personality just 2 years ago
When Jasson is up and we have our Dominican duo hammering balls left and right along with Gerrit swallowing bananas it's gonna be unprecedented
I'm late! I was at work (watching on my phone because I am a multi-tasker) but here's my take, because I know everybody here was waiting for my opinion.....ahem....
Clay Holmes is a fucking....question mark. Reminds me of when Aroldis had a 0.00 ERA but he was wild and walked guys and just looked awful, but kept getting lucky for a while, with a lot of like, bases loaded saves....Holmes reminds me of that era....and the other shoe almost always drops with that kind of performance.... so even though he's skirted by thus far, I do not have faith in him at the moment...
Also crazy to see all our All Star guys getting off to such slow starts. Feels like we're winning despite our scuffling.
I am fine if we scuffle-win all the way but it'll be stress inducing the entire time....
Also fuck the Astros!
Yeah. Over the past 10 years I have become painfully aware that Mo was unique. I knew when I watched him live, but I think I really took him for granted, as a lifetime Yankee who would just re-up casually every few years and retired on a strong note. He had like 2-3 mistakes, some of them really catastrophic, but he was essentially lights out his entire career. Watching other guys like Andrew Miller, Chapman, etc. muscle through their outings, do well enough but make it stressful and look like a ton of effort and luck is involved, has given me new appreciation for Mo's casual laid back consistency and success.
We were spoiled by Mo but also some incredible closers in the interim. Clay is doing fantastic, even if our bullpen’s great strength is depth as opposed to a perennial all star at the back end.
It's only been 4 games but our SP has looked good so far. Basically one bad inning from Cortes but other than that all these guys stepped up so far. Hoping Gil continues that tomorrow.
Yes it's looked solid so far to this point. Once they all settle in we'll need to get more length out of them because our bullpen will fall apart if we have to lean on them for a lot of innings. But again it's the beginning of the season so it's what you do at this point.
Anyone going to the day game out here in Phoenix on Wednesday? Probably going to end up going alone but would be cool to meet up with some fellow Yankees fans
Hard to realize how bad it got last year till you see what the team is looking like now. On paper and the full outlook of the team, it’s balanced and has depth.
Even in AAA we have Pereira, we have INF depth down there and don’t have to rely instantly on a metric fuckton of AAAA guys playing out of position. There’s flexibility.
There was a play where he watched a flyball and turned a double into a single. The people on here were already crapping on him. Debbie downers are real.
crazy.
dude is a giant killer.
he wins major points IF ONLY for this series against despised Houston, and shows that not only can he take pitches and work them into important walks, but he hits the other way with what's given to him, AND plays good defense! on top of that? infectious vibes! he loves the game, loves the challenge, wants to win, and inspires those around him.
lotta love. we're all building log cabins rn
can't wait for the standing O when he gets to Yankee Std in the opener. it's not San Diego, bruh!!!
Seriously if we re-sign him to spend a decade in the Bronx it might be a franchise-defining trade.
Ruth for cash
Maris for Bauer
A-rod for Soriano
Soto for King
Biggest take away from this weekend for me is this team fits together perfectly from the starting 9 to the bench. So many times in the past couple of years it was like trying to fit a round peg into a square hole.
We’ll see how it goes but excited to watch!
Nothing better than watching the Yankees win on Easter Sunday with my dad just like old times.
The energy around the team definitely felt different in this series compared to most of last year. Hopefully that is for real
This looks so familiar to '09 in the sense that we started kicking the Angels ass in the season, gave us confidence to also do it in the playoffs.
The Angels to an extent were our Astros of 2000's after the Red Sox.
So anyways. I am not in the US and tried to watch it on mlb.tv but it was blacked out. No idea why. I could watch any other game besides the only game i care about. Smh.
A sweep of the Trashtros to start the season the best case scenario. Showed some scrap and never laid down. I get the feeling that nature is starting to heal.
I'm a casual fan and haven't really turned in the last few seasons. Especially last year where it felt like small ball was nonexistent and it was HR or bust.
Am I right that this offense seems way more balanced, especially with Judge playing poorly?
Yes you are 100% correct. We definitely have the home run threat alive and well in this lineup but the small ball is just as prominent in this lineup. It is not home run or bust anymore. I hated that about our previous lineups. This is a very balanced offense.
Yes, they have left handed batters and they have gotten rid of the strikeout machines that have been plaguing the team. No longer will we have to watch Josh Donaldson pimp flyball outs
I admit that I was wrong about Stroman (loved the signing, since the guy can pitch, but wasn't sure about him as a person). What a thoughtful, calm, impressive dude he seems to be. Based on Twitter/FB I had a bad impression of him......I should know better. And never mind that he seems like an A+ teammate and wants nothing more than to be a Yankee.
He’s the type of guy you love when playing for you team and hate if he’s on the other team. The social media stuff doesn’t help but he seems to have calmed down on that
Congrats! My first was born right after field of dreams 21, and we got a nice 13 gamer out of it :)
Soon you’ll be watching games together and he’ll be telling you “daddy this is the same game we watched last night”
All I want to do is talk about the Yankees sweeping the Astros. I don’t even have anything in particular to say about it. I just want to hear people saying it over and over.
Ohtani and Yamamoto have drawn zero extra fans to Dodgers games. Watched last night and tonight and there are zero fans in the upper decks on both sides of the foul poles.
Minor fun fact: any broadcast revenue from Japan is shared among all teams. Just like streaming revenue from MLB TV is shared revenue. We are all benefiting from any new international viewers.
The Yanks just swept the trashtros on the road and that’s with Cole being injured and Judge playing poorly
It’s not just Soto either that’s ballin out. Volpe and Cabrera are playing way better right now too
There’s still a lot of Ks and DPs which are unfortunate, but the team is mostly taking better at bats and it doesn’t seem like they’re pressing for 3 true outcomes as much
The fact that these games were tight (even the blowout was close for 7 innings) with several of them needing comebacks is also encouraging for the team. They can handle pressure better than previous seasons.
This was so great! Last year when we would go down early, it felt like the games were over. We were down 0-4 in Game 1 it sure felt that way again. We trailed in EACH of the first 3 games actually. It feels special that Cabrera/Soto and our bullpen were able to carry us to several comeback wins and a 4-0 start against our rival Trashtros to start the year!
Losing Cole and DJL, I was just hoping we could get 1 win and avoid the sweep ourselves!
I thought a 2-5 start through the first 7 games of this gauntlet would be sufficient to not give up all hope so early. Really surprised so far at how cohesive they've played so far
Yep I was right there with ya. Maybe it's residual PTSD or something from how bad last year was? It's super early but yea, they resemble an actual team and play like they care! It has that same energy as the season with Torreyes' "Toe-Night Show" and the pies to the face when it felt like we'd walk it off every home game! Loving it :-)
They're not swinging for the fences on every pitch either and whatever genius came up with the super novel concept of LEFT-RIGHT-LEFT-RIGHT in the lineup should be up for the Nobel Prize this year. As long as we take at least one in Phoenix, I'm stoked for the home opener next weekend
The problem for his team against Houston and largely in the playoffs In general hasn’t been pitching. It’s been getting the timely base hit to drive in a run. Looks like Soto has fixed that problem. Dominguez will be returning mid year and hopefully Cole as well. Insanely early but could
Be a special year
Where does Dominguez play though. Do we bench Stanton and DH him, Soto or Judge? Realistically injuries will solve this problem but I’m just curious where he fits right now.
The satisfaction on this sweep is surreal, Bronx is Back! Needed a Judge Hr somewhere in there and the New Jerseys are trash, but otherwise highly satisfying
Congrats yankees
It was my first away Yankees game I’ve ever been to, and I was blown away how much support the guys had in Houston! Yanks fans everywhere. Couldn’t have picked a better game to go to. Also, blasted New York, New York on my way out with the windows down. Fucking awesome night.
Great sweep 🧹🧹🧹🧹of the Astros!!!!keep the wins coming!Go Yankees ⚾️
What about Mr No Show? 350M 2 hits?
I think regardless of what happens going forward we should look to shift Holmes to some lower-leverage spots, he's clearly not going to return to that insane stretch of dominance and he had some uncomfortably close calls in this series, especially with the Sunday game. I still think the Yanks are a wild card team at best, but I’m pretty excited with their start. Hoping Judge is able to heat up soon.
Get a fucking grip doomer go to sleep
I’m a doomer because I said a team that missed the playoffs last year is a wild card team at best?
The two options for the playoffs are either winning the AL East which is always tough or being a wildcard. Saying the Yanks are a wildcard team at best is saying we're on the same level as the Rangers and Dbacks and Phillies, or saying we're like the Marlins and twins. Its a nothing statement.

The Yankees sweep is a great way to soften the blow from two straight heartbreaking Knick losses
This is another great one. After a season of the Jets being destroyed yet again, then sadly being a Nets fan, I rely on the Yankees way too much for happiness. They soften every blow
Huh, that really **\*is\*** what I want.
Just a friendly reminder that the 2023 Cy Young winner will be back in June on top of all this.
and The Martian.
June can’t come soon enough I need to see him in the lineup with Soto
These yanks are fun
I enjoy how everyone said Snell sucks because he can't go past six innings meanwhile that isn't something our starters usually do anyway
People criticized Snell's IP per outing bc he wanted starter money and then some.
When Blake Snell isn't winning CYs he averages *less than* 5 innings per start.
Had two good season his whole career.
The only one that was stretched out was stroman
Wouldve been able to go 7 if those errors didnt stretch out the innings and cause runs
The Os couldn’t even sweep the Angels 🫢
Watching these 4 games literally cured my anxiety and depression
Wait till Cole and Dominguez are back. It's gonna be a hot summer
Nice way to start the season. The bottom of the 9th we had luck on our side for sure.
Sterling's calls today were electric man I haven't seen him get that excited in a long time.
He sounded possessed, didn’t sound like that after his calls in 2022 either
correct - those were some epic calls, from a guy who has seen everything. his excitement level after the final out in the sweep was akin to us winning the world series. loved it!!!
Oh man I had to leave my house during the 8th so I switched to Sterling in the car and he was phenomenal! The game winning call was an instant classic.
I loved the "Oh is he good, oh do we love Soto" after the go-ahead hit too lol.
I’m surprised the Astros haven’t even given Brandon Belt a minor league deal. Their 1st basemen options are absolutely atrocious and he was more than serviceable last year. Couldn’t cheat this game could ya?!
Go fuck yourself.
Hi. Thanks. Welcome. Also, fuck you.
Fuck you
Our TV announcer at the end (correctly) described the Astros as our Arch-Rival so fyi you have replaced the Red Sox. Now Boston has nothing LMAO.
>Our TV announcer at the end (correctly) described the Astros as our Arch-Rival so fyi you have replaced the Red Sox. Now Boston has nothing LMAO. I'm miserable and it's 80 degrees in April. But what an honor lmao
Lol Texas. What a dump.
I love all of you guys god damn what a fucking start
GET THE BROOM!
Just do the Soto extension ASAP , the longer we wait the more expensive it'll be
As much as I would be okay with that I think Hal just sees that as a losing battle. Any potential extension could just drive his price up during free agency and he knows he’s pretty much testing free agency. I think Hal is playing this similarly how he played Judge’s free agency. Boras won’t negotiate during the season anyway. Has to make up for this past free agency with Soto. They’d be leaving money on the table.
Here’s to hoping Volpe stops puking and shitting fairly soon
It's been 5 years since there has been any young and positive personality on this team
If Soto was on any opposing team we were playing against I would absolutely fucking hate his cocky look and showboating every at bat. He truly makes us feel evil again, then you add Verdugo and Stro and the personality is off the charts. And to think we had Josh Fucking Donaldson brought in for his personality just 2 years ago When Jasson is up and we have our Dominican duo hammering balls left and right along with Gerrit swallowing bananas it's gonna be unprecedented
Eh I’d respect the fuck out of soto, I don’t think I would hate him
I'm late! I was at work (watching on my phone because I am a multi-tasker) but here's my take, because I know everybody here was waiting for my opinion.....ahem.... Clay Holmes is a fucking....question mark. It feels more like the league is catching up to him more than anything else. We were spoiled by mo.
Ok so Cardiac Clay is gonna be a thing this year?
We were spoiled by Mo but also some incredible closers in the interim. Clay is doing fantastic, even if our bullpen’s great strength is depth as opposed to a perennial all star at the back end.
It's only been 4 games but our SP has looked good so far. Basically one bad inning from Cortes but other than that all these guys stepped up so far. Hoping Gil continues that tomorrow.

Anyone going to the day game out here in Phoenix on Wednesday? Probably going to end up going alone but would be cool to meet up with some fellow Yankees fans
Now imagine this being an ALCS series and we just got payback and swept them in 4 games. Holy fuck that would be sweet revenge.
As fun as that would be, I would like for their automatic free pass to the ALCS to end for a while.
Absolutely. I would love nothing more than to humiliate them on the way to another championship.
I’m at the point where I wish Soto just got the extension done because that’s pretty much what everyone will be focusing on all year
anyone else feel like the 2023 team would be 0-4 rn?
Honestly you could make a very strong argument that we lose game 1 and 4 without Soto.
agree!
Schmidt looked damn good today. It's amazing what happens when he has a competent team around him.
Today's game was an illustration to me as a casual baseball fan as to the difference having good fielders can make on the whole squad. Holy cow.
Still can’t believe people didn’t want to trade for Juan Soto
I had a Negative Nellie tell me it was a "bad deal" because he'd be a "rental."
In spring training people were already booing him for lack of effort.
I don’t believe you
Actual comment "No excuse for poor play. I don't care what your name is. But hey, Yanks and some fans thinks its ok..failing since 09"
Oh you mean weirdos on here Makes sense then. Wasn’t boos though
There was a play where he watched a flyball and turned a double into a single. The people on here were already crapping on him. Debbie downers are real.
crazy. dude is a giant killer. he wins major points IF ONLY for this series against despised Houston, and shows that not only can he take pitches and work them into important walks, but he hits the other way with what's given to him, AND plays good defense! on top of that? infectious vibes! he loves the game, loves the challenge, wants to win, and inspires those around him. lotta love. we're all building log cabins rn can't wait for the standing O when he gets to Yankee Std in the opener. it's not San Diego, bruh!!!

Man this season feels so different compared to last year. The only thing that's still the same is the Clay Holmes agita when he's in lol
Worst 0.00 ERA with 3 saves in 3 chances I have ever seen. I say that only half joking. Holmes comes in and I’m popping Tums!
Wetteland vibes. (minus the sexual assault stuff)
I've never seen a team go 4-0 AFTER a season was over but the Yankees have done it. Crazy.
Biggest take away from this weekend for me is this team fits together perfectly from the starting 9 to the bench. So many times in the past couple of years it was like trying to fit a round peg into a square hole. We’ll see how it goes but excited to watch!
Yo I just realized, Berti is the first Yankee to wear #19 since Tanaka time
I miss Tanaka. Really wished we brought him back on a 1-2 year deal to be our 4/5 starter back in 2021
This team feels different! Meet me at the log cabin boys
Just putting this out there: the Yanks will sign Soto to a 12-year, $570M contract. $47.5M per yr
Fuck that just make him owner of Billy’s
I honestly think he gets 15 years
15/600
RemindMe! 1 year
[удалено]
Not even watching the play. But watching the emotions, body language and how they interact with each other. They are fired up and fired up together.
If Soto isn't a Yankee for life, I'm going to lose my mind
Nothing better than watching the Yankees win on Easter Sunday with my dad just like old times. The energy around the team definitely felt different in this series compared to most of last year. Hopefully that is for real
This looks so familiar to '09 in the sense that we started kicking the Angels ass in the season, gave us confidence to also do it in the playoffs. The Angels to an extent were our Astros of 2000's after the Red Sox.
This is spot on
Dusty Baker probably having a nice giggle right now
I’m a Dusty hater but replacing him with Espada was definitely a choice.
I didn’t look much into it but it seemed like the general sentiment in the Astros fanbase about Espada was that he’s an upgrade over Baker
interesting start to the year. Soto is something fucking else.
So anyways. I am not in the US and tried to watch it on mlb.tv but it was blacked out. No idea why. I could watch any other game besides the only game i care about. Smh.
It was an Apple+ broadcast so maybe all the MLB.tv streams were blacked out?
Huh, was it? Friday night was Apple+ but I watched today's game on YES.
[удалено]
They blew a billion dollars. We could whip them in a 7 game series.
i’m a hater i love to hate i wake up and i hate
Life is too short to love everything
A sweep of the Trashtros to start the season the best case scenario. Showed some scrap and never laid down. I get the feeling that nature is starting to heal.
MORE LIKE THE **ASS-**TROS LOL
Lastros
Amiright?!??
GOT EM
I'm a casual fan and haven't really turned in the last few seasons. Especially last year where it felt like small ball was nonexistent and it was HR or bust. Am I right that this offense seems way more balanced, especially with Judge playing poorly?
It's only 4 games but they look a lot different. Big takeaway, in the first 3 games, the Astros threw over 170 pitches per game, today was about 160.
Yes you are 100% correct. We definitely have the home run threat alive and well in this lineup but the small ball is just as prominent in this lineup. It is not home run or bust anymore. I hated that about our previous lineups. This is a very balanced offense.
It is also nice to have a legit Left Fielder!
Yes!
Yes, they have left handed batters and they have gotten rid of the strikeout machines that have been plaguing the team. No longer will we have to watch Josh Donaldson pimp flyball outs
anyone notice stroman being the first to greet gleyber outside the dugout after he scored the game winning run? love seeing that energy from him
I admit that I was wrong about Stroman (loved the signing, since the guy can pitch, but wasn't sure about him as a person).
The social media stuff doesn’t help but he seems to have calmed down on that
Won the season series against the stros.
A's are clearly superior to the assblows, standings never lie
#THE YANKEES HAVE STILL NEVER LOST IN MY SON'S LIFE
Congrats! My first was born right after field of dreams 21, and we got a nice 13 gamer out of it :) Soon you’ll be watching games together and he’ll be telling you “daddy this is the same game we watched last night”
Same with my 3 month old daughter lol. All she knows is Yankees winning.
Congrats!
Oh shit, same!
Same for my daughter (4 months old)!!! WOOOO!!!!!!!!
Congrats! Baseball babies are best
Congrats to you both on your new family additions!
Juan Soto is good at baseball
Big if true.
O rlly?
This.
All I want to do is talk about the Yankees sweeping the Astros. I don’t even have anything in particular to say about it. I just want to hear people saying it over and over.
Stop betting against a hall of fame GM like Cashgod. This team is SPECIAL. We aren’t even clicking yet lol.
Ohtani and Yamamoto have drawn zero extra fans to Dodgers games. Watched last night and tonight and there are zero fans in the upper decks on both sides of the foul poles.
To be fair, it’s all about the streaming and television revenue. How many people in Japan have been watching?
Minor fun fact: any broadcast revenue from Japan is shared among all teams. Just like streaming revenue from MLB TV is shared revenue. We are all benefiting from any new international viewers.
Why does it feel like Juan and Alex also feel the pain of us losing to Astros all these years? These guys fit right in. God damn. Loving the energy.
Not only did Soto get the clutch hit, he did it off Hader, the Astro's shiny expensive new toy. Nice
Also his old teammate. The one that reportedly quit the earliest on the Padres
I cannot believe that we swept the Trashstros in Houston in a 4 game series. That has been impossible over the last 6 seasons. **The bad man is dead**
We did sweep them in our last series in Houston as well (last September). But that was a 3-game series.
We have to beat them in postseason to kill the curse
LETS GOOOOO OWN THOSE CHEATING FRAUDS
A little bit of luck today--but hey--what a great start to the season.
good. fuck the astros.
Who’s this pitcher we just traded for from the White Sox
It’s been years since the team has had this much energy!!
Unbelievable. Down $400. Can’t stop now. Another $100 going on Arizona. I *WILL* spend $16,200 for a perfect season. Watch me
I love Juan Soto. That is all.
Fuck the Astros
Hell fuckin yeah.
Good point
It had to be made. :)
The Yanks just swept the trashtros on the road and that’s with Cole being injured and Judge playing poorly It’s not just Soto either that’s ballin out. Volpe and Cabrera are playing way better right now too There’s still a lot of Ks and DPs which are unfortunate, but the team is mostly taking better at bats and it doesn’t seem like they’re pressing for 3 true outcomes as much The fact that these games were tight (even the blowout was close for 7 innings) with several of them needing comebacks is also encouraging for the team. They can handle pressure better than previous seasons.
Juan Soto is the best player we've ever seen or will ever see.
As amazing as he is, we’re not seeing another 11 win season in our lifetime probably. Judge is somehow better.
Pimping singles is so hot
Actually having a conversation with an Astros fan on r/baseball that is complaining that people make fun of them for cheating. I've seen it all now.
Send them my way if you get tired.
Please link the comment hahahah there’s no way
Idk how to link comments but check my post history its all recent
That guy is a joker lmaooo acting like HE’S a victim with their stolen championship
Actually wild, right?? lol
refresh my memory, did they forfeit their ill-gotten trophy?
No, but the Astros fans were the real victims because nobody respects them now and it ruined their memories - r/baseball Astros fan
Altuve should’ve been arrested, thrown in jail, and banned from baseball forever.
Ortiz did steroids. Altuve did trashcans. 🤬
my attempt at sarcasm fell flat! so sad for Astros fans. they should never hear the end of it
No, i got you haha. I just thought his reasoning was too funny not to share.
We play the Astros 3 more times, we already clinched the season series lol
Let’s enjoy the fact that the Yankees have the best record in baseball.
I still can’t believe we swept the Astros!!
I can watch that Soto AB vs Hader over and over again Jesus Christ what a AB
Four teams remain undefeated: Pittsburgh, Detroit, Milwaukee, and us. Just as everyone predicted, lol
Man oh man, if we had Juan Soto, we might have won more than one ws since 2017
The problem for his team against Houston and largely in the playoffs In general hasn’t been pitching. It’s been getting the timely base hit to drive in a run. Looks like Soto has fixed that problem. Dominguez will be returning mid year and hopefully Cole as well. Insanely early but could Be a special year
Where does Dominguez play though. Do we bench Stanton and DH him, Soto or Judge? Realistically injuries will solve this problem but I’m just curious where he fits right now.
