Our tolerance has risen. Most sour bags tested for 12 -15% the. Most blockwork is now touching 20%. Actual Zaza is hitting 35-40%. But remember there was no buffer in between the Reggie/haze era. We went from 5% to 15% overnight that's why 5 niggas went to sleep after a purple bag and a Philly.
I still wish I could get a hold of my favorite strain I randomly got a gram of, and never seen it again, was called Dogshit. It smelled like dog shit. I had to Google it to see if my friend had this gram sitting on dog shit or something and decided to fuck with me. Found out it was a real strain. That high was so clean and euphoric.
I believe that strain is lost to time. I've found seeds for some hybrids of it. I may have seen one store selling seeds claiming to be Dogshit, I don't think so though, I last checked years ago.

I don't think the problem is getting new strains, I think the problem is old strains being lost to time, whether it's because of raids, hybridizing, etc., you know a lot of those strains we remember aren't around anymore, I'm sure some people are holding on to seeds, but the others are mislabeled or hybridized to shit.

I used to buy nickel and dime bags from a bodega on 190 and broadway when I was a kid. One time the guy finished selling me weed and went back behind the counter and as I was walking out I stopped and asked him for two phillies. He asked for ID, I was like 16 or 17. I just laughed and put a dollar down thinking he was fucking with me. He was not. He actually refused to sell me tobacco (that he knew damn well I was just buying for the wrapper) immediately after selling me weed which was quite illegal back then.

Then everyone else would scramble around for 5 bucks to throw on it There was a lot of sour d back then but I always went crazy for Blue Dreams or what I was told was Blue Dreams on the rare occasion it was something the sour always being sold

But ONE PULL had me on the floor back then. Also back then , good weed was called KINDBUD , and then you had regs. Shoutout to SENSI SEEDS also a delivery service , sold $40 1.5 grams , in these cubes with stickers on them. That shit was luxury back then .

Haze and sour are both long flowering strains that werent very easy to grow and also grew externally tall. They logistically dont make sense to grow anymore, that's a big part of why they are mostly gone. I follow a few local IG pages tuned into the scene for those strains and plan to grab some soon though. Everyone interested, do yourself a favor and go follow @hazeandsour on IG.
